Oh shit here we go
LK 101 - Boston Spilling the Tea Party (part one)
pt pt2 pt3
Lets be honest, the real reason this series exists: Walter Cronkite as Benji Franx.
why is there only one dude on what appears to be a fucking *frigate* I mean I know why, animation budget, but my point stans
Also fuckin seizure warning on the Atlantic, brah.
Cluny the Scourge just hanging out on what I'm assuming is Sarah's bed? Or is that just her pet. Did she have a beloved pet rat?? Was she a rat girl??? This has caused more questions.
Is this her room?? Why is there a bed belowdecks like this? why is her room so massive?? Am I looking too hard into a DIC cartoon?
I love how this girl just canonically vibes with chaos. Alone, 15 years old, going to the colonies, in a fucking storm that even the grizzled sailors are freaked out by, and she's writing to her mom how exciting everything is. She's either dissociating like a champ or she's a legend. Also how are you not seasick??? Oh right you're an accomplished rider and horse girl you got that inner ear
Not gonna lie though, listening to this girl talk about her dad coming home from the wilderness and how they're all gonna have an awesome life is kind of sad. Oh, honeyyyyy. No. Can you imagine being her mom and getting all these letters? Oh god now I've made up more headcanons.
she really has the worst luck with ships, doesn't she.
SuCh SyMbOlIsM
This dork. Also why is his collar so fucking open jfc.
In this house we stan Exasperated Dad!Moses
"When someone wants to know what's on my shirt I can sell 'em a newspaper!" is the kind of idea I'd expect from an ADHD/PTSD madlad. I feel like both Sarah and James vibe and thrive off chaos, but only one of them has a balanced inner ear.
Gotta love Eager Beaver getting knocked down a peg by Exasperated Dad.
The *flair.* The *drama.* The *exasperated and slightly amused adult*
aaaaaaaaaaay the French Fry! The Brains! The feral younger sibling! The one I vibed with the hardest as a feral younger sibling!
Henri: Bitch I'd do it again!!!!
Dear writers: why the fuck did you set up an enemies-to friends-to lovers pipeline so hard like this.
oh my gOdD Moses is such a dilf
Ok is it just me or did they design her as a redhead in the beginning and slowly lighten her to strawberry blonde later on, or am I just losing my mind.
do you think they boinked. Dirty Old Man Franklin absolutely tried to make a move on Lady Phillips.
We all worry about your feral daughter, Lady Phillips.
AND WE'RE ON NICKNAME TERMS? Yeah they boinked.
Sir. SIR. Two of those associates are children.
THEY FUCKING. BOINKED. NEW SHIP FRANKLIN/LADY PHILLIPS WE CALL IT FRILLIPS OH MY GOD NO WAIT THEY'RE A POLYCULE.
They'd absolutely get hammered and watch a Pats game, I'm a little disappointed the directors didn't tell the voice actors to lean into the New England accent. Also why does the guy on the left look like Peter Griffin.
It can't be Boston, there aren't nearly enough maniacal drivers with homicidal intent
*there* it is.
Damn this dude got REAL into it.
He just. Hops over tea chests and pulls himself up over a ship. To interview people. Fucking madlad.
Henri is getting *into it* feral frenchman child.
I don't think that's a normal response. That abandonment/orphandom PTSD does things to a brain.
well somebody sure had fun discovering After Effects transitions.
Yeah your ship's cool and all but does your ship have a meetcute that involves blunt force trauma with weaponized literature.
To be continued because of the 30 image limit

So Declan loved me and we talked about science and lab babies and clones and all that. So He told me he loved me because i was the first person to really really listen and understand as opposed to being the one to teach.
And so he had understood what he was taught then developed and built upon it correctly with help from his own brain and God. And del Muerte whom helped me understand as well cause that shit was mind blowing.
So he asked me to have his soul mate. To give birth to her.
And I was pretty much dragged out and Declan ran the show after that.
I agreed but it was more like a thing where i had to focus and talk instead of fainting.
So Matt actually helped to implant because I have an upturned uterious and so things like that are painful because of the rigidity and non flexible as i need materials used while Jeremiah comforted and helped me relax.
So then essentially i was kidnapped.
Declan is part clone and part Neanderthal.
Annabelle is part clone and part Neanderthal.
So some of us from Michael Jackson's boarding school --- although I wasn't i stayed there alot on my own. So i was part of it, unofficially as i am a civilian doing military shit now. --- have clones in a laboratory. But they are miniature human size as they are kept in barbie size containers.
Since Declan was a clone Jesse gave permission to make, they said i should use a clone.
It took 5 eggs until Declan approved the child that would be created in the embryo. Del Muerte communicated to us what God said.
Most males get their soul mates at age 7. Declan was only 2 years old. So God hadnt had enough experience to program or create his perfect soulmate.
So it just so happened it was 2 years of plus 5 embryos which makes the year 7 while added together.
So when Annabelle was born Declan came to get me and her but my now ex-husband got me all fucked up and i had amnesia and all that and i remember the power struggle type issues while signing the birth certificate which is why i get child support as my ex swore bla bla bla and signed papers to those statements but I was all "Dude while he's signing let's run!" Because he pissed me off during that time and i was all no hes wrong and all... But I guess I was scared of him or his aura csused me confusion or Idk. I remember feeling sick.
So craziness. We are 16 years late. And unfortunately yet fortunately a lot of research was done and i have a lot of government apology money coming my way. Which i don't have yet.... But soon.
This is Cambria AvaLynn named after Alexis Dejoria.
Because Matt's parents were into hiding, they named him after a mat. A common object so in case of ESP feom the people they hid from they would think "welcome mat" like welcome to travel with us son named Matt. Welcome to eat at the dining table, Matt. Well, come, Matt.
So came or come because i would always want to see Matt so I would say "You came!!!" When i saw him and hug him and he would say "welcome"
And Bria after me.
Turning the x into a v (for Victory) and Lynn as in the 80s most of my friends on the military base i lived on has Lynn as their middle names. So to remind me she is a friend.
She's my child that was ectopic due to the sponges Jamie & Doug Otis found and reminded us of. But we went to the hospital because i began to hemmoragge and they were able to save her and her twin.
Then my mom killed her and he died naturally as he was in ICU TO experiment on them being raised/healed as premies temporarily as one within an incubator and the other skin to skin contact. As woman need to be comforted more, we picked Ava to bring home.
They were the first experiment with soul mates being born as twins. Both clones of my and Jeremiah and his being Ava and my being the male Andrew.
Andrew after Jesse... "And he drew" cause he was always drawing beautifully.
And the other clones were of Jesse James and Alexis.
Alexis got kidnapped by her dad and so the story goes... I did too Eventually
Jeremiah's dad helped us as the grandparent in house.
This is Declan.
He told Jeremiah "I'm not the one sitting around waiting with a pouted lip waiting for someone to do it for me. Now i found the woman and go get my kid!!"
Dude WTF I'm not having someones kid... I'm only 21!!
"Now im the man around the house and what I say goes!!! And you are going to have my kid!!"
Dude whatever. So i did dream into the lab with them but... I thought we were just playing and so i agreed and so next thing i knew there was a frozen child ready to be implanted. Thus my ability to be kidnapped so easily...
Cause when a kid is all telling you about clones and labs and shit... And you're hearing voices... that shit is insane. Literally.
So i didn't take it seriously enough.
But Declan is only 19 Now. And my kid is 16.
So it's old enough to have a romantic relationship. To avoid issues i had as a child with social services.
The plan was to have them grow up as friends but also believed it may been too dangerous....
Yet I still don't agree that it was.
However for the last 10 year's I have been working daily for my amnesia to be solved and also saving the world (of NHRA especially) at the same time.
And have earned multiple Nobel Peace Prizes which i have yet to receive.
So working on law enforcement and the military and government, about to break into the public school system and tear that up ;) as a civilian has earned me billions of dollars i have yet to receive....
But i have given away as i can and have bought businesses that I want.
As proof that the government does care about all its people's hopes and dreams they have bought them on my behalf and am gsining bank! And i shop st my own businesses too... Ironically! I been shopping at Loves for nearly a year... went into Speedway a few times now i drive an extra 5 miles just to shop there because i like it more!!
Robert, the shift manager finally told me tonight as I bought all the GIANTS for my Giant 6'7" man. And i turned the ones in Valencia County to Speedway in honor of Aaron and Paul (twins) who wanted to show the dangers of meth and the meth community as they honored me with my idea of how to end Breaking Bad with the movie reel of El Camino (the mother road) of the manner of the psychological reality of life gone wrong.
I freak Robert out... He was worried when he saw me there that I was to audit like a monster, fire everyone and work the cash register and store myself.
So tonight he saw I bought milkshakes (not available at Love's) figured it out and gave me a pack of smokes for free and blurted out why.
So i took all the giants as i always do and fucked them all up and made them better.
So i own them till i make my money back on the businesses and then they get given to who I intended it for... As I do double check they will always be worthy... If not i keep them for me because I was being good snd honest and fair the whole time.
So 360° K i own.
So i only compete with Love's whom I always promised the King's Highway to... You know him... As an old time Western Thug bitch ass womanizer player. Motorcycle Guru. Hot Rod extraordinaire. Texas loving son of a gun. Jesse James Smith! Just kidding... Just regular old ole fogie mad scientist Jesse Gregory Smith. Of West Coast Choppers. Which i own and always have as i put up the money for his business intending to always be in his life and helping him. So my apology... The only one i can ever give as i can't predict the future without help is Love. And he loves everyone and won't let Google tell.
I bought every gas station in the country as we will be switching to electric and hydro electric and non fuel and solar and hybrid autos by 2030. So the previous owners have a nice retirement and no stress. As the storage oil facilities that were shot in Saudia Arabia were actually empty. I own them.
Fossil fuels are actually the blood of dinosaurs and other dead bodies that are converted and broken down and dehydrated by plant life...
I found that out by the eternal bushes burning.. I mean growing... here on the mountain. Tumble weeds otherwise known as thyme. And we found via satellite tons of skeletons by Earth xrays under the bushes and some not as they are closer to the Earth surface. I found a wooly mammoth knuckle bone.
We moved here in 2002 and there was a patch of earth that looked like concrete by the mail boxes and we just drove over them assuming that's what it was.
They were mummified wooly mammoths. Now broken up and scattered all over the desert road.
I would not like my blood which could potentially bring me back to life wasted on a car... For someone to get to a job they hate. So no more. Not from the USA anyways.
One night I was at dinner and i said Obama needs to handle thwt South Dakota pipeline. My dad was all what is he supposed to do? All simple solutions were crap and had an argument. I said "then lie! Tell the American people they are scum! Tell them we opened the pipeline up and the pipes broke and destroyed the precious land that needs to be protected." My dad laughed and i felt kinda stupid for being so angry.
But Uncle Donald heard my point and so thats exactly what he did. Fake news? Its real.
Because he saw the change I made in the NHRA with some lies that laid very close to the truth.
You don't need to believe in reincarnation for it to happen. I didn't until about 6 months ago. But my mom's mom and my great aunt my grandma's sister ... Granny Bessie Heltons 2 daughters did. My grandma explained it to me one night when I was 18 as i had asked my Great Aunt Nita i was closer to but she didn't explain she just said "because i do" And the dictionary explaination i already knew. But my grandma traveled with me like y'all know i do And showed me.
We started in Heaven with only having one human life and having the soul figure of a human that we select. Hers was a teenage body, absolutely beautiful. With her old ass mind and experience. I told her what I wanted was to be a child. A dirty raggedy haired barefoot blonde without a care in the world, feeling smarter than I feel now... Because that is when i was happiest. When i saw i could end pain and suffering with death, when i knew life could escape heart ache, even when evil exist.
And so now on her second cat life with me, as her first caused her kidnapping by the same drug induced psycho piece of shit that arrested and molested Jesse James dog, Coco and her untimely death as I did record in Tumblr. "Sister Kitty" was kidnapped by him, hes in a special jail. He just had his pinkie finger nail and big toe nail removed as he did kidnap Mogar and slice his face and slice Kizzys leg. So in order to understand what he did he agreed to similar punishment as he did to our precious cargo...
Cargo my bitches!
Jesse: No! I only ask!
Me: who do i have to convince?
Jesse: Idk Jeremiah?
Me: Ava who is your dad?
Ava: Idk I guess not Jeremiah?? IDK!! HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO TELL!? you all always told me they are both my dad's. Let me ask God. Oh! Jesse! ..... And Jeremiah
Me: your dad is your dad and dad he will always be no matter shine or high water, love will always be there for you and for me. Alexis, do you know that one?
She nods all teary..
Jesse: well did i get loves?!
Me: uhh yes ass hole! We always love you back. What do you want with a gas station with no gas? That's like having a family with out us, most especially me!
Jesse: well it got gas now!!!
Me: well gas up at your local, bring a truck. I got a lot of stuff.
Declan: you hear her? Most especially me! Me! Well, me too, you better pick me up.
Me: Jesse... You ready for Orlando?? I got a Chase bank account with the Princess Castle on the debit card... Just needs a little cash in the account.
Jesse: You Mean You Will Pay!!!
Me: i see that was not a question so that does not deserve a response. But yes. I am suppose to have a wire transfer per last night's discussions that will pay for it.
Jesse: WHOA SHIT!
Me: Jeremiah you down?
Jeremiah: to pay Miss Giant Owner?
Me: uhh I'm Miss Speedyway now. No.. Carry me through times square after some Disney World Fun!
Jeremiah: FUCK YES!! uhh yes thank you for inviting me. I will go
Matt Hagan: look look at this. Im the best friend i even got her kid named after me
Me: Matt Hagan... Looks like you're invited, The Best Friend. In or out of Disney World for the hotel.
Matt: IN!!
Me: youre definitely going you know how to do it right! Pops... You gonna stay home alone with your woman?
Pops: not if i don't have to
M3: you don't
Pops: shit! Oh yeah!
Chuck: what about Cookie!!
Me: you and bring Your comrades I need to talk to
Chuckie: oh Cookies going!
Me: I didn't know he could do the Conga.
Jesse: yes you did!
Me: no wonder it looked familiar.

An oldie yet goodie, some still needs to happen, some a bit more challenging, and others soon to be or happening. 11/19/18 edit: “we belong” pat benatar Marshall McCluhan published posthumously the tetrad of media effects. I offer this letter as a retrieval of the past in order to reverse our course of history. The Tetrad takes any medium or media, then applies these questions as ground qualities: retrieval then reversal & enhancement then obsolescence. See tetrad of media effects
The contract signing with Universal and a need to clarify retrograde messages previously implored me to write the 13th letter. The precedent that has been set by Taylor Swift, the artist, eventually owning her own content is so huge, it is going to take so many years for everyone to see that this was the beginning of a new way of treating creators and their creations. Ms. Taylor Swift is a trailblazer on so many fronts that few wild frontiers will be eventually left to tame when her life’s work is done. Way to step up “walking the talk” and make a real deal shift of the tectonic orders of magnitude right in the “here now”. No future maybe or mights—a torch of liberty held aloft for those that can see its warm glow, thousands of lumens strong for the Artist and their children’s children. The change you made is a huge systematic shift, it will only be a few months before someone else asks for their masters. It will take many years but this contract, this payment clause, this……..yeah, great work for the whole of humanity. Literally, a move going back centuries upon centuries of artists, performers, and creatives who have prostrated themselves to the whims of the Kings of currency, from whom performance was demanded in exchange for livelihood. It really is that Big--to comment on systematic change in the 1st political post last month and then drop a huge actual real, live example of political economy and structural change to the very system being called out. Hecks Yeah!! I see someone following through with such conviction, heart, and broadest of world changing visions. Every time I think that you can’t top the last time in big, big movements that must happen for world planetary change—nope…...even bigger, even more prescient, even more important…Count Me In!!
Congratulations on the very caring yet wily move to get the hundreds of millions in ironclad guarantees to artists for the future on the Spotify clause. These guarantees are a such a positive shift in the Spotify sale structure and leeway that the label can take with the artists. I have done a crash course on how recoupable income, royalties, and the like— had little knowledge but now tiny bit more. It really surprised me how many 90% do not get back to a positive balance with the Company. It is very interesting because it is the same percentage of traders who make it in the markets over the longer term of 5-10 years. As a business owner, I know the importance of working cash flow—a no strings attached dividend from “contributions” like this can help to transform an artist’s current situation or feel more connected with the new digital reality. Think of the good feelings that have resonated outward from the multitude of artist who have a bankable guarantee in the future. All of that new creativity unleashed by release valve on the economic pressure cooker. The actions done in isolation from the “masters” guarantee would represent a major shift especially since it benefits everyone along the pipeline. Both of these events at the same time baffle the awesome meter so high that there just really isn’t a reading for this humongous mountain of good. By law of large numbers these tectonic shifts have a name, as singular events, they would have represented a super life affirming “magical” outcome yet done at the same time, the odds become staggeringly impossible to which the angels call it a “miracle”. The series of miraculous happenings that drop that kernel of sand to land in the oyster to eventually create the finest of natural pearls. The missing ingredient is Time—in the Mayan time keeping, the year 2012 was the beginning of the movement back to the natural time frequency of 13:20. A thirteen moon vision of the mulitverse including our localize construction of time and space+. The Higgs-Boson “god(dess) particle” was found at Cern in the year 2012 and confirmed the existence of at least 11 dimensions. The Caticorn Chronicle picks up some threads that happened during this occurrence and the previous attempts to start the accelerator. It shows the movement of their world to ours via the machines and other natural phenomena. The natural time frequency moves the old paradigm: Time X Energy = Money to a new construction: Time X Energy = Art. The freedom of artistic expression and ownership of the work by the artist themselves, while they are alive, is a rarity you have now helped to become the normative nature of how we will work together to see a commonality that can still be profitable for all parties involved. Art as a living structure for a life’s expression operating in a mutually beneficial manner. The energy needed to ensure the shift is lasting for the future has been initiated by your sequence of actions. Once again, innumerable thanks to you for all of this and the millions you touched this Stadium Tour.
The insight and clarity on the nature of reality, my purpose on this planet, and the things that make my dreams come alive are found when I see you in my minds eye and heart. It is this beneficent soft personage nudging me to go for it, try just a little harder to see that vision come to life. I always dreamed of making music and writing down all of the stories, ideas, and what I now know to be lyrics that pop in my head. I would consider it the highest honor and pleasure to spend any amount of minutes in this life with Taylor Swift. I love being a detective of jewelry, minerals, and even new to be piqued interests---an open, curious mind figuring out all of the stuff everyone else thought was impossible to deal with . Finding out the provenance, imagining who wore and what they wore, and asking oneself how many intricate, amazing stories these pieces would tell. Gold may be what I find and the currency that I use most yet that is only one little aspect of the true story I wish to tell. I found in you the true gold, a soul who shared her whole self and has the awareness to see the importance of her role in greater society. This is like the most attractive and sexy thing a grown ass man like myself could every imagine in such a caring and beautiful vision of life . I see the thousands of artists who will directly be involved in just one decision alone with Spotify. Vote.org logged tens of thousands of voters registrations increases. I see how major conservative publications were very rattled about the political moves. Rightly so because what I found is that the Swifties are one big, caring, sharing family and you can’t mess with that kind of bond. The biggest acts in the history of music have fought to get their masters in their own control—you did it. I mean, this is like world changing stuff—this is so exciting and interesting to me. I feel like I could talk for hours upon hours and never even know a minute went by—sitting in rapt enjoyment of this genius woman and her vast understanding of the world. I have always seen visions on this kind of scale the way you flow in and out it is just marvelous to watch. I rose one day to find an intellect, a soul so deep that for the first time my curiosity and longing in life had found an inspiration, a spark to jumpstart James to action. Some may call this love yet these words describe what is so vast, so specially entangled down to the finest of neurons looking to create new bundles of caring reflections and spacial connections. It is like the most ironic thing that your whole album and tour is about this and here I am months of letter writing in having a mini breakdown. It is really hard to explain, having a parent with mental illness makes you react to certain stimuli on mental health oddly sometimes. This is why I seemingly have run away to hide in the Cascades. To be honest, I have not ever put myself out on a limb like this before and at the same time I feel more alive about life than ever. The writings are the first time I have written other than a letter to a friend and have only written two business plans plus an avid technical analyst for commodity charting, plus really good picking stocks to “break”. Thank you for this opportunity to find my voice and let those pieces of inspired words set themselves free. For too long I’ve held them inside without a way to tend them in the proper way. I usually prefer working to hold real items in my local economy to bolster it as much as possible. The scale of how you weave just literally makes me just shake my head in amazement and nod one of those “damn yeah” nods. To see you just kicking some butt every other week—just straight up humbling to me. It would make my world if I were able to help out in any way to offer insight. I just want to support you in any way possible. I will move anywhere or change my life to be part of yours—just to be perfectly clear. I am a humble guy and will keep on kicking out some heaps of good. Thanks for everything!!!!!!!
“And then you say I want you for worse or for better I would wait for ever and ever Broke your heart, I'll put it back together I would wait for ever and ever” “how you get the girl”………….
You are an inspiration and a one of the most beautiful souls on this planet. I will relish the day that our paths may cross again. Until that time I offer these insights upon meditating on the beneficent vision of you with the floral top in the huji filter pre Arlington shows. This soft vision comes as a friendly reminder to give it our best and push on through. Love doesn’t take numbers.
eternal love,
james

UK Christmas TV 2020: Your Guide to This Year’s Festive Specials
https://ift.tt/370S3Dq
If you’re the kind of person who tuts at pre-December Christmas trees and moans about supermarkets simultaneously stocking mince pies and Halloween goodies (don’t cross the streams!) then look away now, there’s nothing for you here.
If, however, you’re the sort of person who’s gasping for end-of-year cheer like it’s the last bottle of Evian in a hot, empty desert, then step this way. We’ve collected up all the festive TV specials airing in the UK over Christmas 2020, so you can start mentally circling the ones in your personal schedule.
It being early, there are still announcements to be made, so check back here for updates. Ditto for official air dates and times, which are thin on the ground until the channels lock in their schedules. We’ll pop back and add those in as they’re confirmed.
Starting with our top five picks, here’s a list of everything on the way…
TOP FIVE PICKS
1. Doctor Who: Revolution of the Daleks
Companions Yaz, Graham and Ryan stumble upon a Dalek threat on Earth while the Doctor’s far away and locked up in space prison. How do you fight the Daleks without the Doctor? With the help of an old friend… Festive special ‘Revolution of the Daleks’ is written by Chris Chibnall and directed by ‘Spyfall Part 2’ director Lee Haven Jones.
Air date: TBC
2. Ghosts: Christmas Special
The Ghosts Christmas special is so good, there should be a new one every year. It’s Christmas in Button House and Mike is determined to give his visiting family the perfect Christmas, if they’ll let him. And if his other family – the houseful of historical ghosts only wife Alison can see and hear – behave. 1990s MP Julian is the Ebenezer Scrooge in need of a lesson on the true meaning of Christmas in this terrific family comedy.
Air date: TBC
3. Taskmaster: Christmas Special
We don’t yet know the identities of the five contestants competing in the very first Taskmaster festive special, but we know that they are all brand new to the 10-series comedy, and have been described as “experts in their respective fields”… Fingers crossed for Christmas-themed tasks.
Air date: TBC
4. His Dark Materials Season 2 Finale: Æsahættr
Technically, there’s nothing festive about His Dark Materials (unless the BBC/HBO adaptation takes a serious diversion from Philip Pullman’s books and throws in a few elves) but there’s something very childhood-bedtime and therefore quite Christmassy about this beautiful series. It ended strong in season one, and keeps getting better in season two. This finale is due to bring The Subtle Knife to a close, making way for the final part of the trilogy in the as-yet-unconfirmed (but come on, it’s happening) third season.
Air date: Sunday 20th December, 8.10pm, BBC One
5. Roald & Beatrix, the Tail of the Curious Mouse
From the producers of Sherlock and Dracula, this festive family comedy-drama promises to be something quite special. It reimagines the real-life meeting of two of the UK’s biggest names in children’s literature: Beatrix Potter (played by Dawn French) and Roald Dahl, back when Potter was a recluse and Dahl was a child. Expect puppetry, animation, a host of guest stars and voices, and lots of snow, from Inside No. 9 director David Kerr.
Air date: TBC
COMEDY
Motherland Christmas Special
Top BBC Two parenting sitcom Motherhood returns for a festive special ahead of its third series coming next year. You are cordially invited to Amanda’s annual seasonal soiree… Anna Maxwell-Martin, Diane Morgan, Lucy Punch and Paul Ready star.
Air date: TBC
Upstart Crow: Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow: a Lockdown Christmas 1603
The stage version of Shakespeare sitcom Upstart Crow fell foul of Covid-19 earlier this year, but that hasn’t stopped the team putting together this festive lockdown two-hander special, set in London during the plague, and starring David Mitchell and Gemma Whelan as Shakespeare and Kate.
Air date: TBC
Not Going Out Christmas Special
Lee Mack’s long-running BBC One sitcom is back for another Christmas instalment, filmed under Covid-safe conditions this August. Expect a dedication to dearly departed cast member Bobby Ball.
Air date: TBC
Pandemonium
Katherine Parkinson and Alison Steadman star in this one-off BBC comedy about a family forced to cancel their dream holiday to California, who end up in Margate over the Christmas season.
Air date: TBC
Vicar of Dibley in Lockdown
Dawn French and James Fleet reprise the characters of Geraldine and Hugo in three 10-minute lockdown additions to The Vicar of Dibley canon, airing on BBC One after repeats of the original series (and then repeated later in one half-hour clump).
Air date: starts 7th December, BBC One.

Air date: 25th December, 7pm, BBC One
Black Narcissus
Gemma Arterton and Diana Rigg star in a new BBC three-part adaptation of Rumer Godden’s strange, atmospheric novel – famously adapted into a film in 1947 – about a group of nuns in a remote Himalayan outpost.

My 3,000sqft: Power Broker Louise Phillips Forbes Shows Her Family-Friendly Upper West Side Home
By Dana Schulz, 6sqft Photographs by James and Karla Murray
Louise Phillips Forbes moved to NYC from Nashville to further her dance career on Broadway when she was in her 20s. When an injury forced her to change her plans, she fell into real estate, quickly realizing that not only had she found her home in New York, but also her true passion. For close to three decades now, Forbes has been a powerhouse in the real estate field; in fact, her sales team is the number one at Halstead with more than $3.5 billion in career sales.
But Louise has the highly coveted ability to truly balance her work and personal lives. At home, everything is about her husband and two sons and their time together. And when she renovated her Upper West Side apartment, this comfortable, welcoming feel was her number one priority. When she’s not closing sales or watching her sons’ hockey games, Louise can be found at her local Soul Cycle or serving on the board of Change for Kids, as well as the advisory committees for several non-profit arts organizations. To get a glimpse into how she does it all, 6sqft recently visited Louise, took a tour of her home, and got to know her a little better.
What originally brought you to New York?
I moved here from Nashville, Tennessee. I worked with special needs children, and I also had a scholarship to dance for two small companies. When I got to New York, I just knew I was home. The pulse of the energy, the mixing pot of people and experiences, and the why and how people get here.
And how did you get into real estate?
I injured myself [dancing], and it was not very long before I met somebody who said, “You’d be so good in real estate. Call my friend.” I did, and I met a young man in his 20s who had two desks, two phones, and not even a fax, and said, “Come on, let’s start in real estate.” I made $8,400 my first year, but it didn’t take long for me to really accelerate because I [realized] I was in a business that was built around people. I also realized very quickly that I didn’t like thinking of myself as a salesperson, but rather an educator. I was happy to put the work in to educate individuals so that a level of trust could be built. I got into the business in 1989, and after starting at the small firm, I went to Halstead for three years. Then I went to Douglas Elliman until 2002, when I came back to Halstead.
When I was at Douglas Elliman, it was a family-owned business, and I started with five other brokers. We started a residential development division, which was really amazing to specialize in that portion of the business in the ’90s because it was not really a science like it is today. I’ve probably more than 30 development projects since. Most of the projects that I got involved in were smaller projects that became a pivotal point in changing what a neighborhood is today.
Are you working on any development projects now that you can tell us about?
I have a few new things in the pipeline, a couple in Brooklyn and one on the Upper West Side, which is always such a pleasure because it’s in my backyard. I’m finishing up phase two of 498 West End Avenue, which is at 84th Street. It’s an old, grand 1910 building where we’ve completely reimagined all the apartments, and we’ve also added a two-floor penthouse, which is currently on the market.
The other one I just finished was 15 Hubert Street in Tribeca, a small boutique building with 12 units. It was four industrial buildings built in the 1880s that we combined. It was a very complicated transaction, but fun.
Do you find yourself now leaning more towards the development side of things?
It’s a strong piece of my business. In the early ’90s, I learned how a building converts from a rental building to a co-op or a condo, and I used to “flip” tenant rights. There are brokers today who wouldn’t even know what that means, but when a sponsor would convert a building, they would offer the renters, the insiders, a discounted rent. And I would then work with the tenants who were purchasing to flip their apartments and they would have the right to assign the contracts. Very rarely can you do that today, but it was a masterful way to create wealth for individuals. Those experiences really armed my ability to master trends and neighborhoods and understand the subtleties that gave me an insight and knowledge that I would otherwise not have today.
What would you say are the biggest differences in real estate today versus when you started?
Oh my god, technology. When I got into the business, nobody was in real estate who went to school to be in real estate. Now people are educated to have a profession in real estate. I think that’s interesting. The access to information and the transparency is amazing. But the truth is, you can’t decipher the texture of a market or why something happened unless you have the people touch. And so I feel that finding the right balance with technology and using it to interpret for the nonprofessional is something that is really an art.
Let’s talk about your home. Have long have you been in this apartment?
I bought 14A in 1993. I was showing a customer this apartment. The plumbing in the maid’s room was on the outside of the wall, the plaster was off, and the exposed brick was showing. The family had been here for 60 years and done nothing. But I backed out of the apartment going, “Holy Mackerel, I think I’m going to buy this.” Because all the tradeoffs were there–It was a diamond in the rough, and I wanted light and location. I came here to dance, as I discussed, and I used to dance at Steps on West 74th Street. So it was the neighborhood I knew best, and it was kind of full-circle.
I met my husband on a blind date, and we got engaged in 2002. Three years later, I was pregnant with my second son, and we bought the apartment upstairs and sort of reimagined it.
You must’ve had a fairly large renovation.
Most people with a two-year-old and giving birth weeks later move out to do their renovations. I was such a stubborn person and said, “I’m going to live through it and I’m going to save that money and make a great master bathroom,” which is what I did, but it cost me emotionally.
I moved out for two weeks and gave birth to my son. We lived downstairs and then we moved upstairs and we had no kitchen for six months. The refrigerator was in what is now my office area, and I had a hot plate, a microwave, and a coffee maker. We were luxury camping. I would not recommend that, but the end result was great.
Did that experience factor into your business?
Interestingly enough, I’m terribly dyslexic. I always love to have a voice around that because both my children are dyslexic, and I was undiagnosed until I was in sixth grade. But the amazing thing that I’ve come to learn as an adult, is that my spatial memory is like Rain Man. So [working] with developers, I’ll look at one apartment, and I’ll be able to reimagine it in an amazing way.
Did you encounter any hiccups during the renovation?
Yes. I found a riser in the middle of my kitchen; I thought they were further back based on all the renovations that I’d done, but I was miscalculating it. But these field conditions come up all the time, and you have to design around them. And that’s what we did, it became [the chalkboard wall]. I was so concerned that my pantry was going to be too tight, but it’s fine.
Were there certain must-haves in the renovation?
I really wanted a big kitchen. Every party ends up in the kitchen. I do pot lucks and buffets. I can have 50 people sitting throughout this whole floor, whether at the table or standing. We’ve had seven people at the island where we can have dinner and there’s a casualness to it.
It seems like a lot of your design choices were focused on your children.
They like being home. Everything they do, we try to do together. We all surf together. We’re a family of hockey players, a family of skiers. And then as it relates to their friends, we were hoping to create a place where the door is always open. When we entertain, often it’s with their families. They bring all their kids and we do dinner here. And so that policy is something that’s been important.
And the neighborhood is so family friendly, too.
My older son just went to boarding school, and my younger son is now navigating the subways by himself. So yes, being in this neighborhood is great because being able to be on their own is something we want. As long as they run in a herd, I’m happy.
What are some of your favorite spots in the neighborhood?
[It’s great] to live behind Fairway and Citarella. If you have the bandwidth for the whole search, then you go to Fairway. If you’re there for the quality and in and out, you go to Citarella.
For the years I’ve been here, the Upper West Side has not always been known for its restaurants, but I think that for us to get a Serafina [says something]. It’s a stopping point for every kid. So having teenagers, they love it. We have the whole corridor of what’s happening along Amsterdam in the last decade. It’s got these great mom-and-pop restaurants that it’s so nice to be able to support. You have neighborhood spots like Jacob’s Pickles, and if you know Jacob, he is one of the kindest, most festive people. It’s comfort food. And then you have Tessa, where we go at least once or twice a month. And Cesca has got great brunches. And there are some of these restaurants that have been there for many, many years, like Blue Ribbon for your sushi. For Upper West Siders who have had to travel for a long time, we don’t have to travel so much.
You also have a home in the Hamptons, right?
Yes. Because we’re all surfers, we have a place in Butter Lane that we end up renting out. But we go to Montauk, where we have a tiny postage stamp [home] that’s our slice of heaven. It’s right on the beach and right on a break. The kids would love to just park themselves there [all summer], but they have hockey and [other activities]. But we do try to take the month of August off.
Can you talk a bit about your art collection?
My very dear friend who passed away last year was the executive director of the Bronx Museum. And before that, she was the executive director of Art in General, whose mission is to support up-and-coming artists from different countries and give them space to work. I was on the advisory board at the Bronx Museum for many, many years and was on the commissioner’s circle for Art in General; I love supporting emerging artists.
One of the things that was nice for my husband and me was the idea of collecting art together. We traveled to Cuba and then went to Italy and we try to do Art Basel every other year. We also try to connect with artists who we actually know.
How did you get into Cuban art?
[While at Art in General], my friend met and fell in love with a number of Cuban artists. She wrote a book many years ago and really discovered most of today’s iconic contemporary Cuban artists, like Los Carpinteros and Sandra Ramos. So when we went to Cuba in 2008, before everybody went, we met these artists. We would go to their house and they would organize a dinner and we could buy the art right there and hear their stories and the history of their art.
