MASTERLIST
“I can’t believe you did that to them, Dad,” you shout. “Why can’t you just listen to them when they tell you they already have a band?” You just found out that your father, Caleb Covington, used his stamp on the Sunset Curve boys because they refused his offer.
Your father sips out of his mug and says, “You know the reason, my darling. They’re just too powerful.”
With a groan, you say, “Sometimes, I really don’t like you.”
After finishing his mug of whatever he was drinking, your father says, “You’re stuck with me for eternity, my daughter. You better get around to liking me.” He poofs out of your room in the Hollywood Ghost Club and you grab your jacket.
You’ve made it your mission to go and tell Luke and his bandmates what’s going to happen to them since your father used his stamp on them. Maybe they can figure out what their unfinished business is and they can cross over.
So you poof out of the Hollywood Ghost Club and to the studio where your crush and his bandmates practice. You peep inside and don’t see Luke. A sigh of defeat passes your lips and you step back. You think about where they could be, or at least where Luke would be.
You poof to South Broadway, in front of the Orpheum. You find Willie, your best friend, talking to Luke, Alex, and Reggie. Luke looks behind Willie at you. He has a look of anger on his face and he walks around Willie to get to you.
“What the hell, Y/N?” Luke says, approaching you. “You let Caleb just stamp us?”
Immediately, you say, “I’m sorry, Luke. I didn’t know that he would use the stamp on you. I never wanted him to.”
Luke looks at you and he says, “The guys and I love our band with Julie, and Caleb just took that away from us. We either have to join his band, cross over, or get destroyed by these jolt things.”
Quickly, you reach out and try to touch Luke. He backs away from you and your face falls. “Luke, please,” you beg. “I never wanted this. I’ve seen how happy you are with Julie and the band. I never wanted that to be taken away from you guys. I tried to talk him down but he wasn’t having it. Okay?”
He says, “I just met you a few weeks ago. How am I supposed to believe that?”
“Because in the eighty or so years that I’ve been a ghost, I’ve never met anyone like you, Luke,” you say, staring up at the guy in front of you. “I always kept to myself until Willie introduced me to you. I was scared to talk to anyone just for this reason. Until I met you. My father is insanely powerful and I can’t do anything to stop him.”
Luke’s face softens and he says, “All we wanted was to get revenge on our bandmate for what he did to us and now we’re cursed.”
Your voice drops to a whisper and you say, “I’m sorry, Luke. I really am. I wish he wasn’t like this.” You look down at your feet.
Both of you are quiet before Luke sighs, reaching out and holding your hand. You look at your connected hands and you finally look up at him. “I’m sorry I blamed you, Y/N,” he says. “I’m just frustrated that these are my only options. I know that this isn’t your fault and that you don’t have control over what he does.”
“I don’t know what I can do, Luke,” you admit. “I just wish that you had never met him, or me or even Willie because it was us that got you into this.”
Luke shakes his head and says, “I wouldn’t take back meeting you. Meeting you has been one of my favorite things that’s happened to me since I became a ghost.”
You say, “But you’re cursed and you’ll die all over again.”
He takes a step closer to you and he says, “I’ll die over and over again if it meant meeting you.”
There’s a whoosh noise and you look to your right, knowing who’s standing there. Luke looks over at your father and the guys run up to the two of you.
Your father looks between you and Luke before he says, “Hm, it seems like I’ve interrupted something here.”
“What do you want?” you spit at him. “You’ve done enough, Dad.”
The only people here that knew he was your father were Willie and Luke. Alex and Reggie didn’t know, but now they do. It’s not a big deal that they know but how to you tell new friends that your father is the owner of the most famous ghost clubs and one of the most powerful ghosts?
Luke confidently stands at your side, looking up at your father as he says, “That’s not how you speak to me, young lady. I thought you learned your lesson.”
You say, “You don’t own me. You can’t control me. None of your powers work on me because I’m your blood. You can’t own my soul. I have no consequences when it comes to speaking to you in a certain way or how I act.”
Your father says, “You don’t have any consequences, Y/N.” He waves his hands and a jolt hits the Sunset Curve boys. Luke lets go of your hand as he stumbles back. You look at him with worry all over your face before spinning back to your father. “But they do. Now, boys, let me make my offer again. You can join my house band and these jolts will simply just stop. Alex, you’ll always be able to see Willie. Luke, you’ll be able to see Y/N whenever you’d like. If you’re destroyed or you cross over, you won’t get any of that.”
“We’re never joining your house band,” Luke says through his teeth. You turn your head and look at the musician. His eyes flicker to you before returning to your father.
He says, “Have it your way.” Your father waves his hand again and there’s another jolt that hits the guys. All three grunt. Willie has his hand on Alex’s shoulder and you run over to Luke, whose back is pressed against the wall of the building. You lace your fingers with Luke’s as your father poofs away.
You look up at Luke and you say, “You have to cross over, Luke. Soon.”
Luke says, “I don’t know how to do that.”
Willie chimes in and says, “You have to do your unfinished business. It’s why you came back as ghosts.”
Alex, Reggie, and Luke all look at each other before Luke says, “i guess we have to play the show that we never got to play then.”
They need to play the Orpheum.
***
You and Willie help Luke and his band get booked at the Orpheum the next day. Willie drives the bus of Panic! At The Disco’s opening act out into the desert over 200 miles away. The two of you poof to the boys, who stand right outside the venue. Just as you both poof to the guys, they get hit with a jolt. You walk up to Luke and ask, “You okay?”
“Nothing I haven’t felt before,” Luke says, shrugging. “Um, can I talk to you for a second?”
After nodding, you and Luke walk away. The two of you stand in the alleyway beside the Orpheum. You look up at Luke and he sighs. “I’ve never felt anything for anyone before you. I’m not just saying this because I’m either about to cross over or get destroyed by the jolts,” he admits to you. “I just, I don’t have many regrets and I’d definitely regret it if I didn’t tell you that I really like you.”
Your eyes widen and you say, “Luke, I-”
Luke says, “I have everything to lose, Y/N. You, my band, everything. I’d rather have you and Julie sleep peacefully knowing that I crossed over instead of getting destroyed.”
You can see the tears in his eyes and you say, “I wish I could do something, Luke. I wish that this wasn’t the end of us, even though there never really was an ‘us’ to begin with. I wanted an us.”
He sniffles and you reach up, brushing his hair off his forehead before he says, “I wanted an us too.”
Luke cups your face in his hands and you look up at him. He leans down and presses a light kiss to your lips. You sigh and slowly kiss him back. Your eyes are screwed shut and a few tears escape, falling down your cheeks and wetting them.
After a second, Luke pulls back and looks down at you. “If, by some miracle, I survive this. If something happens and we don’t cross over and I don’t get destroyed by the jolts, I’ll meet you here at midnight,” he says. You nod and stare up at him.
You lean up and peck his lips before Luke walks off. You lean against the wall of the Orpheum and sigh, closing your eyes.
You hate your father for taking away the only guy you’ve ever liked since you became a ghost. Luke would never leave his band with Julie to join your father’s band, and you respect that.
Later that night, you’re back in the same spot. You were able to sneak into the Orpheum to see Luke’s performance with his band. He looked handsome in his suit with no sleeves and messy hair as he played his guitar. You lean your head back and close your eyes.
Minutes tick by. It’s close to 12:30 now. He either crossed over or he didn’t make it.
Soft sobs begin to leave your lips as you let it sink in that you’ll never see Luke again.
There’s a whooshing sound and you assume that it’s your father so you don’t look. Someone walks toward you and you feel someone wipe away your tears. Your eyes flutter open and you’re met with Luke’s pretty hazel eyes. You gasp softly and throw your arms around Luke.
“You made it,” you whisper.
Luke chuckles and says, “I made it. I’m okay. I don’t know how but the curse is gone.”
You pull back just enough to meet Luke’s eyes. “You did amazing tonight, by the way,” you tell him. “I was able to sneak in.”
He smiles and says, “The suit is thanks to your father. I lost the sleeves in the poof.”
“I don’t mind,” you admit. “I like the no sleeves. Definitely shows off your muscles.” You run your fingers up and down his biceps to prove your point.
Luke laughs and says, “You love my arms. Noted.”
You smile and say, “I also love your kisses.”
“We’ve only kissed once, Y/N,” Luke tells you. You lean your head up.
“It’s time to change that, Luke,” you say. With a little laugh, Luke leans down and kisses you again. The kiss is a little rougher than the kiss you shared with him earlier in the day. Both of you are more hungry for each other because neither of you thought that you’d be standing here with him.
Maybe because the curse is gone, you’d get to have the relationship you want with Luke. Maybe this is the guy you can spend your ghostly years with. You almost lost him, and you’ve promise yourself that you’d never let him go again.

You’re such a bitch - (Charlie Gillespie x reader)
Tumblr media
Word Count: 2486 Request: no, again @jatpsmut inspired me with his fic “What Happens in Hawaii Stays in Hawaii - Charlie Gillespie x Reader (SMUT - 18+)”. I asked her if I could use the Hawaii idea and now I am writing this!
However, some details change from the original fic:
“Charlie and y/n haven't been best friends since they were kids, but from the first season of jatp. y/n is an additional actor on Julie and the Phantoms, also a dancer. Charlie didn't confess his feelings to y/n in Hawaii.
The only thing I got from the idea of @jatpsmut is the fact that something happened in Hawaii. So thank you to her for writing this incredible fic, without it this could not happen Summary: You and Charlie were best friends and roommates in LA. One evening, you heard it with a girl, the next morning, everything is awkward, bitchy and everything changes. Warnings: mention of sexual activities - language disclaimer: I don't know Charlie or his family personally or what his life is like. All you will read in this "x reader" is from my imagination. My point is not to invade Charlie's privacy. I don't want to offend him or offend anybody else in his life (family, potential girlfriend
). All of this is not the reality
Tagged: @asdfghjkl-fanfics @standingtalllove @lukeys-giggle @happinessinthedarkesttimes if you want to be tagged in my next fic let me know !

You try to focus on the TV show you were watching, but obviously your roommate had company. And that company was way too loud in your opinion. You were rolling your eyes in annoyance when suddenly your phone vibrates, displaying the blonde head of your second best friend. If there was one thing you miss since you came back to live to Los Angeles, it was obviously living with this sarcastic character. Vancouver seemed so far away to you. You picked up your phone and Owen's face appeared.
“Hi sweetie.” Owen told you with a smile “Oh, hey
Why that face?” he clearly noticed your annoyance. "Hi O." you said before complaining "Ugh, I miss living with you in Vancouver so much" "Yeah me too. We had so much fun. But hey, I'm sure we'll have a season two." "I hope so much"
You were an extra cast member on Julie and the Phantoms, you also were a dancer on the first season, just as Tori. You wished so much Owen was right about Jatp season 2 renew but Netflix seemed to enjoy making you patient. But the coronavirus had also literally messed up all your plans. However, you were angry, some series came out long after yours and got renewed while yours stayed on hold. It was clear that fans of the series as much as you were just waiting for the renewal of season two.
A moan came out of Charlie's bedroom with the sound of a bouncing mattress, you rolled your eyes again, groaning with a sort of anger.
"Jesus Christ ..." you complained "Wait, y/n, what's that sound?" “You know what I miss most about living with you in Vancouver O’? Rule #3. " “Rule #3? Rule #3" he seemed to think about what you said when he finally realized "Oh ... Oh! Rule #3! Wait.. Oh my God! Is Charlie being with a chick right now? ” He asked you with stupefaction. "Oh I wish you were wrong"
A laugh came out from you best friend mouth and you gave him a killer look through the screen, making him laugh harder. When you were in Vancouver, living with two boys forced you to set limits and rules for living. The first was; everyone cleans up their own mess. Second, the housework takes turns. Third rule: no one-night stand allowed in the flat. Surprisingly as it may seem, this rule had been followed very well by everyone. But at the same time, the boys' schedules really didn't make time to bring anyone home, and then after all, they were professional. But as soon as Charlie returned from his parents' quarantine, he forgot the existence of this rule, as if it did not apply to Los Angeles. It wasn't like he brought a different girl home every night, or even every month. It might have been the second or third time since you had moved in. But this situation embarrassed you more than you might have thought.
“Owen, don't make fun of me. I've been hearing them for about an hour now. " "Poor you. Now you understand how I felt in Hawaii" he smirked at you. "Wait, what did you say?" you asked him, in shocked. "Oh please y/n ... you heard me clearly"
Of course, you had heard what he said, but you were in shock at the revelation, so you needed confirmation. This story was supposed to be a secret between you and Charlie. The fact that Owen mentioned it could only assume two things.
"Did you hear us in Hawaii?" “I was in the room next door! Of course, I heard you. It's not like you and Charlie are the quietest couple ever having sex ... " "It seems Charlie is the loudest one
" you said, referring to your best friend having sex in the next bedroom. "Oh darling please, I can remind you of what you said that night. You two gave me nightmares." "Please don't. I feel so embarrassed right now"
Last year you went to Hawaii with several cast members and Kenny. A booking error forced you to share a bed with Charlie. It seemed that sleeping with a girl seemed more adequate than two boys sleeping in the same bed. Charlie and Owen had avoided that possibility the second the problem had arisen. One thing leading to another, after a few strong cocktails, you and the dark-haired boy had ended up having a horny night. The shame caused the next day made you both never talk about it again and "what happened in Hawaii will stay in Hawaii". You didn’t know that Owen heard you and it seems that boy can keep a secret for so long now.
The problem was that that night you realized that you felt more than an attraction to your roommate. It went beyond friendship or mere sexual tension at the sight of this Canadian. You wanted every aspect of what you might have experienced with Charlie and more: the laughs, the funny times, the lots of talking, the quiet times watching a movie or just playing Nintendo Switch, the sex. But you also wanted the PDAs, the feelings, just being with him like his girlfriend. But the actor was totally oblivious to your feelings for him, and you didn't even want to try to make him understand it on his own. You just created a shell for yourself and buried your feelings deep within yourself.
“I don’t understand y/n. Why didn’t you tell him your feeling?” “Because I know he doesn’t love me back, O.” “Oh come on! You two are the most stubborn people I ever met!”
Again, for the third time tonight, you've rolled your eyes. You were pretty sure Charlie didn't feel the same way you did. Since Hawaii, neither of you had stepped forward towards each other, but sometimes your behaviors showed that you were more than friends. Another moan was heard from Charlie’s room and Owen's face on the screen was memorable. His eyes were wide and his cheeks were red.
"Okay, y/n. I'm sorry but I don't want to keep talking to you and hear my other best friend hooking up at the same time ..."
You laughed and he hung up the phone not forgetting to say goodbye. You tried to focus on your screen again, your headphones being way too far away for you to catch them. Minutes later you finally heard the distinctive sound of Charlie's orgasm and knew you were finally going to be able to sleep.

The next morning you woke up with a high level of fatigue. You casually walk to the kitchen to make coffee. While you were pouring yourself a cup of this much-desired black liquid, a person entered the kitchen.
 "Who the fuck are you?"
You raised an eyebrow, bringing your mug to your lips. The girl looked at you with a disgusted face.
"Roommate, darling. Not nice to meet you." "Why the hell are you wearing his shirt?"
A smirk appears on your lips, far too happy that she asked the question. When you were in Vancouver, it wasn't surprising to see you wearing the boys' t-shirts, although you had a preference for Charlie's, there were times when you wore Owen's. The boys never complained about this mania and you had to continue when you moved to Los Angeles with Charlie. The scene was pretty funny, you were there drinking your coffee in a t-shirt borrowed from your roommate while his conquest from last night stared at you in disgust, decked out in another Charlie t-shirt. You took a look at the Looney Tunes t-shirt you were wearing and just shrug your shoulders.
“Old habits.” You simply said. "Yeah, you're gonna have to break this habit."
You laughed disdainfully. You didn't like this girl. Not because it was the conquest of your best friend for whom you had blatant romantic feelings. But rather because she had this condescension and believed that spending a night with Charlie gave her every right.
"What makes you think that, sweetie?"
You leaned against the kitchen counter, your posture offhand, a smirk on your lips. You weren't used to being such a bitch, but the girl in front of you pissed you off. And it was only nine in the morning.
"Well, hello, I spent the night with Charlie." "Oh yeah sure, but that doesn't mean you're dating him." "Charlie is a great guy"
She wasn't wrong. Charlie wasn't heartbroken but he was still human and a twenty-two-year-old boy. Just looking at her you knew your best friend hadn't chosen her for a serious relationship with her. The little conversation you were having with her now confirmed that he couldn't date her. Another smirk spread across your lips as she looked at you with disdain again.
"Who the fuck do you think you are? You are nowhere near his level" she said to you
This time, you couldn't help but laugh sarcastically. Yeah, she really pissed you off. Physically, she was everything Charlie didn't like about a potential girlfriend: big breasts, much bigger than him, slightly shallow. Oh but she had a fucking ass and maybe that was why he had chosen her. Her whole body reflected Charlie's choice for a one-night stand, but not the ideal girlfriend.
"Oh honey, I'm nobody, but neither are you. Listen. You were just a one-night stand and me? Me, I'll still be here in his apartment with his t-shirts on when he brings you home, telling you that it was cool but that it will not go further. I will always be there ... "
Charlie woke up and headed straight for the kitchen. He greeted her conquest with a nod, giving her a hello. Instinctively, he approached you and put his hand on your waist before placing a soft kiss on your cheek. Charlie was tactile, it was his language of love. You couldn't help but smirk at the girl, giving her a victorious look. The actor looked at your outfit and a smile appeared on his lips.
"So that's where it was! I thought I lost it in the Galapagos." he was referring to his looney tunes t-shirt
Your attention fell on Charlie and you smiled happily at him. You cheekily handed your cup of coffee.
"Coffee?" "Hell, yeah"
He grabbed your cup and took a long sip, leaving his conquest almost nonexistent to his eyes. The girl was so pissed off that she seemed to be boiling. She cleared her throat, annoyed.
"Hmm, I'm going to go" she said. "Oh wait, let me have lunch and I'll bring you back if you want." "It won't be necessary."
You bit the tip of your tongue, amused, far too happy to hide it. Charlie's conquest returned to his room to get dressed. Your roommate turned to you and gave you a questioning look.
"y/n, what did you do?" "Nothing. We were happily getting know each other. I'm surprised at your choice, by the way" "Are you getting revenge?" "Get revenge for what?" "Since ... Hawaii, you've scared all the girls I've brought back." "Did I scare them? Stop, I haven't acted any differently than usual." “You scared them away,” he repeated. "Oh come on, Charlie, please, it's not like you're going to date them."
He pulled away from you with a look of dismay. You were not wrong, he had never called back the girls he had brought back here, he did not intend to call back the one who was currently in his room. In fact, the only person he really wanted to spend time with was you. But since Hawaii, you seemed to be okay with never mentioning your night together again. This Canadian boy has been in love with you for months, maybe even years now. It quickly fell for you when you were in Vancouver.
"You're right. But I could have ..." he finally confessed "It's wrong. You know it's wrong Charlie, I know you, I'm your best friend. These are not the kind of girls you date. "Yeah
I couldn't date any of them. They just aren't you." He said, his last sentence ending in a whisper before hastening to take a sip from your cup of coffee.
You were paralyzed. Did he really just say what you've been dreaming of hearing for months? Did he just drop it like a bomb, in the middle of a morning conversation between sips of coffee?
“Wait, what?” “Nothing” “It wasn’t nothing, Charlie, you said something” “Nothing important” he repeats “Did you just say that if you didn’t date those girls it’s because they weren’t me?” “You seems to hear voices” “Charlie, I’m not joking
Did you say that?!” “Maybe” “Oh fuck, you’re an idiot!” “I am a..”
You snatched the cup of coffee from her hands and hurriedly put it on the counter. Never mind about the stains on the floor, you will clean up later. You didn't want to miss a second of this possibility. You wrapped your arms around Charlie's neck before resting your lips on his. Your best friend seemed surprised at first so much but quickly relaxed and wrapped his own arms around your waist as your lips moved to give the kiss more tender. The situation was most strange and funny; you were kissing your best friend, running your fingers through his long brown hair. You had to admit that even though you had found him attractive with his Luke's look but you couldn't imagine Charlie without that impressive mass of hair. Luke had short hair, Charlie had long hair. End of the discussion.
So, you were kissing your roommate, making up for lost time while in his room, a girl he had fucked the night before gathered her things. Charlie's conquest stepped out to head for the exit. You broke the kiss making Charlie growl in protest.
"I'm not showing you where the door is." you said. "whore .." the chick whispered.
Charlie stepped away from you and brought his one-night stand to the door, apologizing. He wasn't that kind of boy to go from girl to girl and the circumstances were really strange. The girl left, not without forgetting to curse him. When Charlie walks into the kitchen, you were sitting on the counter, a smirk on your face.
"You're such a bitch y/n" “It's my revenge for keeping me awake last night.”
His gaze was sly, his smile was mischievous and you knew he was going to find a phrase worthy of the fucking boy he could be.
"I can keep you awake for a while if you want." “A date wouldn't be too complicated, Charlie. Please be a gentleman. "You can count on me"
He gave you a softer look and you wrapped your arms around his neck again before kissing him. Ultimately, not everything that happened in Hawaii has to be restricted to Hawaii.

The Revolution That’s Been Singing In The Rain (JATP Reggie X Reader)
Pairing: 1995!Reggie x Reader
Word count: 1.5K
Warnings: some swearing?
Plot: Ok so, it’s a pride parade/riot/demo, in 1995 (or so), and the boys go to support Alex, but surprise! There’s music there too! And Reggie likes the person playing the electric violin at the march. But like it starts to rain and they gotta stop with the instruments and get off the stage but they don’t stop singing. So anyway Reggie is in first row and the band was singing a cover of We Will Rock You and Reg of course knows the lyrics as does everyone. So they start singing and dancing very energetically and passionately in the rain. At the end the violin person gives Reggie their number
A/N: nonbinary reader (they/them pronouns) The link to the electric violin cover of we will rock you without the lyrics. Also. This is the first one-shot I’ve ever written and stuff so please be nice :) yes I accept constructive criticism too.
Tumblr media
After practice, Alex had finally mustered up the strength to ask his best friends/bandmates,
“So, there’s this gay thing, on Saturday, and I wanted to ask if it you guys wanted to come with me?” The three other guys were listening closely to him, while fiddling around a bit with their instruments.
“It’s okay though, if you don’t.” Hadn’t even given them time to react, let alone answer. “If you don’t wanna come, I mean.”
A second of silence, the three of them surprised, exchanging looks, the blond one dreading the answer.
“No, yeah, dude.” Luke finally said, leaving his guitar on the stand. “We’ll totally go with you!”
“Yeah! We were just shocked that you’d wanna go.” Bobby said, because he and the two other guys had heard about it but weren’t going to bring it up if Alex wasn’t.
“We’re really proud of you, bro,” Reggie said, hugging his neck from behind. Kinda looked awkward. “I wish I was half as brave as you.”
With the whole AIDs thing, the President, his parents, and you know, the anxiety he lived with, Alex couldn’t really live his whole truth most of the time without fearing for his life, so yes, going to a Pride thing was no small feat for the boy.
“Yep, you can let me go now, Reg.” He chuckled, or coughed, because Reggie wasn’t exactly a spaghetti build person, and was hugging his neck rather tightly.
“So when’s the date bro?” Luke sat down on the couch, spreading himself out like pancake batter on a pan.
It was Saturday. Somehow, Reggie convinced them all to paint lil rainbows on either their cheeks or hands. They all looked adorable, sitting in the metro pressed together like anchovies, all with backpacks loaded with water, their respective lunches, and whatever the hell more fitted in the backpack.
Once they got to the station, they went out, following another group of people dressed for a parade, and in a bit more than five minutes, they were smack in the middle of the parade, chanting something in favor of LGBTQ+ rights.
“Do you hear that?” Reggie asked Alex, but like, screaming.
“Yeah, its about to storm, or something.” He said, looking at the sky, which was getting grayer by the minute.
“Not thunder, it’s like,” The black haired squinted in thought. “it’s like, music, I think. Queen.” He said. “Imma go, be right back!”
Reg disappeared in between the queers at the parade, following that sound.
“Reg, no! Shi
” Alex opened and closed his eyes in disapproval and desperation. “Luke! Bobby! We got a rogue bassist!” Bobby and Luke’s reactions to that were similar to Alex’s.
Meanwhile, Reggie had successfully found the source of the music. At a nearby park, was a stage, like those kinds of stages that can be built in like a day, and on top of it, a rock band.
Said like that, it probably doesn’t sound too special, but the thing was, they were playing a We Will Rock You cover, with an electric violin, or that’s what he could tell from a hundred feet distance from the actual stage, so, continuing squishing himself through the crowd, feeling some droplets of rain on his face, he got closer to the band, until he reached a six feet distance.
Shit, the violin was so incredibly pretty, like, it looked like some sort of futuristic weapon. The guy was loving it. The person playing it though, divine; the way they moved their arms and feet and carried themself. Also, yeah, probably the prettiest person Reg had seen to date.
The band, apart from having the violinist, who also was the backup singer, had a drummer, a bassist, and a guitarist, also the lead singer.
Anyway, the scene, everyone stomping their feet on the ground, singing the song with the band, remembering the now dead Freddie Mercury and how iconic he was, the energy of all those people, together in the fight for freedom and equality. The revolution. And the fucking rain.
Droplets were suddenly drops, which then started falling faster, and suddenly the band started panicking a bit, they couldn’t break up these vibes, these people.
So, the three with the string instruments put away the instruments, amps, cables and everything as fast as they could, and the drummer rushing his music cylinders into safety, the only ones carrying the music were the people, among which was Reggie, tearing out his vocal chords singing along the various hundreds of people singing too.
Once all the electric shtick on stage was cleared up, the whole band jumped down from the stage, joining the crowd, singing and stomping.
Buddy you’re an old man poor man
Pleadin’ with your eyes gonna make you some peace some day
The violinist, which had seen Reggie look starstruck at them and later on give his all to the music, joined him to sing (and stomp).
They were almost dancing, doing a duet, smiling like children on Christmas morning, being completely soaked through with the rain, and looking at each other with a feeling I can only describe as electricity (and if they looked at each other more electricly, they would have electrocuted themselves along the way.)
You got mud on your face You big disgrace Somebody better put you back in your place
The violinist shot him a wink, he tried to not get flustered, and in return winked back.
We will we will rock you
One last verse to the song, everyone still as excited as they were at the beginning. And yet, this one was sung with intention, with motive, as if they were shouting at the world that they’d rock it to achieve their goal.
We will we will rock you
And that was it. After a couple of seconds, the crowd calmed down and scattered.
“Hey, what are your pronouns?” The violinist asked.
Reggie remembered both the dictionary meaning of pronoun and the context in which it was asked (which Alex so kindly explained to them earlier), “He/Him, I’m Reggie.” He smiled.
“You’re in that band, right? Sunset Curve?” They asked.
“Tell your friends!” I’m pretty sure you can imagine how exactly he said this quote. “I’m the bassist.” Ah yes, and now the important question, “What about you, pronouns and name, I mean.”
“Oh, yeah, that.” They thought for one second before blurting it out, “They/Them, the name’s Y/n.” Y/n stretched out a hand, he seized it and made a mental note to ask Alex about those pronouns after, “So, what brings you here today?”
“Oh, well, my best friend’s gay, but,” He leaned closer to their ear, “I’m like, 90% sure I’m bi.”
“Damn boy, same!” They laughed.
“Anyway, I gotta go now, the instruments are only safe from the rain, not from people,” Y/n scratched the back of their neck. “But, in case I’m not only bi and yearning,” They whipped out a marker from their pocket and scribbled their number on Reggie’s forearm, “give me a call. Maybe we can try to rock out again together.” Wow, so full of confidence, must be the adrenaline that implied losing their instrument over getting a cute bassist as a date.
“Uh, yeah sure,” Y/n was already walking away, smiling at him.” I’ll def give you a call!” There was no answer to that. Only a distant holler.
“Yo! Reggie!” Luke.
“Coming!”
And he did walk over, fishing from his backpack a piece of dry paper and a pen to write down the number on something a bit more permanent. Anyway, he found the guys.
“Remember when I told you I might be bisexual?” He asked, copying the number.
“Yeah, when we were watching Indiana Jones, why?” Alex remembered. Indiana Jones is hot, that’s so not up for discussion.
“Yeah, well” He ripped the page with the number out and stuffed it in his pocket. “now I know, I’m bi.”
“Yeah man, no shit.” Luke teased him. Joke’s on you bitch you’re too.

if i was dying on my knees (you’d be the one to rescue me)
(title from brother by kodaline)
so, hi!  jatp has reignited my desire to write again and this time i think i might actually finish a whole fic.  so uh, here it is :) please let me know if you like it, I’ll hopefully update asap, but i’m in uni so asap may be in like two weeks.  unless people really like it.  then, probably sooner lmao.
pairing: julie molina x luke patterson
fandom: julie and the phantoms
warnings: death bc rose, and i swear once but other than that i think nothing else?
Julie didn’t want to be frustrated, she really didn’t.  In fact, she wanted to be sad, mourning, depressed, or literally anything other than slightly pissed off all the time.  It’s incredibly exhausting to be angry all the time, and she felt like being sad would at least give her blood a break from simmering.
But her mom died.  And apparently her body only knows how to process grief by developing a rather annoying tendency to be irritated constantly.
She tries to forget it though.  Instead of wallowing in the negative feelings that cloud her family in the months following Rose Molina’s death, she throws herself into distractions.  She gets a job at a coffee shop near the USC campus and puts almost all her effort into becoming a top employee.  Her grades don’t drop because thankfully her professors seemed to all inherently understand that she just couldn’t sing anymore.  Like at all.
The world kept spinning.  Julie could only hope to hold on.
That’s how she ended up, six months later, complaining over a milk frother about her very well-intentioned best friend to the only person she knew would listen.
“Flynn just doesn’t understand,” Julie moans, shutting off the machine and dumping the contents unceremoniously into a to-go cup.  Her coworker, Allison, raises an eyebrow and swipes a rag at the milk spill that pools under the cup.
“Did she try to get you to sing again?”
“Surprise karaoke night with her girlfriend and a couple kids from class.  Her intentions were pure though so I don’t even know why I’m upset.” Julie shoves a lid onto the cup and slides it across the counter to a pre-occupied businessman who doesn’t notice the extra milk soaked into the bottom.  Allison nods thoughtfully and starts dumping coffee beans into the espresso machine.  Julie watches her with slight awe.  Allison was one of those people that terrified Julie when she met her; everything about her felt polished and put together down to the blunt cut of her pale blonde hair and the curve of her smirk when she smiled.  Soon enough, Julie discovered that she was as warm as any of her other friends, but it had taken a lot of closing shifts and smoothie runs to come to that conclusion.
Allison sets down the bag of coffee beans and gives Julie one of her solemn looks; it’s the sort of look where Julie thinks Allison could probably read her mind if she tried hard enough.
“Maybe they’re going about it wrong.  You haven’t been around music properly in what?  A year?  What if you just need to sit and listen to music again to just get you used to the environment?” Julie thinks for a moment.  Allison raises a fair point, and it’s the complete opposite tactic that everyone else has been trying, which has been to shove music in front of her to sing and give her expectant and hopeful looks. It’s a trial run.  Something casual.
“Where would I go?” Allison smiles a bit and passes Julie a container of oat milk to put away.
“There’s a bar off Sunset that’s hosting an open mic tonight.  Very relaxed and casual vibes.  I could pick you up from your apartment and take you.  We haven’t hung out since that movie night a while ago.”  Julie hesitates.  It’s not that she’s opposed to spending a night with Allison, but a small part of her feels like she’s cheating on her current circle of emotional support humans by agreeing to go. Not that her dad or Carlos or Tia would mind, but Flynn would possibly take offence and that alone stalled Julie for longer than she realized. Allison clocks the look on her face and amends the statement.
“Flynn is obviously welcome too.”
A mind reader, Julie swears.
“Hell yeah. Let’s do this.”
***
Julie’s feeling significantly less optimistic when Allison’s car has been driven away by the valet and herself, Flynn, and Allison are all standing in line outside the club. Julie can feel the bass of the songs playing more than she can hear them, but the proximity of music is enough to make her palms sweat. Other than the music the coffee shop plays and the strains of country she hears through Carlos’ wall, Julie hasn’t heard proper music since Tia Victoria sang “Amazing Grace” for her mother’s funeral. Flynn notices her nervous look.
“Chill, Jules. It’s all very chill. We’re just gonna listen to a couple bands.”
“Flynn’s right. And if at any point you want to bail, we can go get soft pretzels.”
“But we should try and stay for the whole thing!”
“However, we’re also going to respect you if you can’t do that,” Allison punctuates this sentence with a meaningful eyebrow raise and Flynn nods vigorously. Julie swallows and tries to mimic the courage she had a few hours ago.  The bartender scrutinizes their IDs for a moment before allowing them to sweep into the bar and Julie’s jaw nearly drops at the volume of people contained inside.  Nearly every seat is filled, and the standing areas are packed with people all jamming to the band onstage that’s currently playing what Julie has to admit is a pretty kick ass cover of “Somebody Told Me” by The Killers.
Allison somehow discovers a table near the edge of the bar, and disappears off to get them drinks.  Flynn’s rocking out already, and Julie feels a few of the nerves in her stomach even out as the realization that she doesn’t have to sing sinks into her bones.  Allison was right, unsurprisingly.  If she focuses hard enough, she can even push out the memories of coming to these sorts of open nights with her mom.  Flynn shoots her a large and grateful grin and Julie lets herself smile back.  She’s taking a step.  She’s doing it.
Allison returns as the band switches and a new band begins to play a hyped up cover of “Africa” by Toto.  The three girls lapse into quiet appreciation of the music, with Flynn singing along to every song played, Allison bobbing her head to herself and occasionally letting out a few notes in her vocal range, and Julie just quietly appreciating the fact that she doesn’t feel like throwing up.
It’s all very casual, just like her friends said.
Until it’s not.
As the third band of the night begins their last song, Julie retreats to find the bathroom.  It’s hidden nearly backstage, and she’s just about to make it to the door when she hears the panicked shouts of someone from near the curtain which separates the small backstage from the actual performing area.
“Dude, I cannot believe he bailed on us.”
“Are you really surprised?  Bobby was a piece of shit.”
“Hey, he didn’t use to be!”
“Calm down, Reg.  You know he’s been treating us like garbage ever since that record label thought he had a ‘marketable voice’ or whatever they said.”
“Guys he bailed on us, what are we supposed to do?”
Julie, despite all the “stranger danger” lessons running through her brain, backed up far enough to see into the backstage area.  Three guys stood there, two with a guitar and a bass each and one with drumsticks he was nervously twirling.  The one with the guitar had his face buried in his hands and kept swearing heavily under his breath.  The other two seemed frozen in their own panic as well.  Guitar Player removed his hands from his face and Julie caught a glimpse of worried hazel eyes and dark curls.  Bass Player opened his arms and Guitar Player tumbled into them for a hug while Drum Player rubbed his back.  The three guys looked absolutely wrecked.
Here’s the thing: Julie had an uncontrollable urge to help people.  It’s how she got roped into half of Flynn’s schemes, how she ended up teaching Carlos all of his second grade science curriculum herself, and how she somehow became the unofficial backbone of her family after her mom died.  Seeing three guys utterly wrecked because, presumably, their fourth bandmate had bailed on them?  It activated that uncontrollable urge deep in her stomach.
Here’s another thing: Julie hasn’t played music or sang in six months.  She’s had no desire to, and every time she’s tried, the distinct urge to throw up overtook her.  Tonight was supposed to be the baby step that showed her whether or not music was something she could seriously consider again; whether or not she could feel that itch to perform anymore.
“Hey, do you guys need a fourth?”
She felt the itch.
The three guys looked up in varying levels of shock.  Drum Player recovered first, and stepped towards her hesitantly, wringing his pink hoodie as he did.
“Um, what?”
“It sounded like someone bailed on you.  I can play.  If you need it.”  Guitar Player recovers next and nearly bounds over to her in barely contained excitement.
“You can play rhythm guitar?”
“No,” the three boys deflate, “I can play piano though.”  Guitar Player tilts his head to the side as though playing a melody through in his head.  He turns back to the other two.
“Bright could fit piano.”
“We never wrote the music for a piano component,” Drum Player wrinkles his nose.
“I did,” Guitar Player admits.  The other two don’t look phased, though Bass Player does raise an eyebrow.  “I was bored!”
“Okay, but we don’t want to put you out,” Drum Player turns back to Julie and she swallows.
“No, I offered.  Let me see the music.”
“Okay, but you have like ten minutes!” Bass Player finally chips in with a surprisingly cheerful tone.  Guitar Player hands Julie what looks like a piece of notebook paper and her eyes skim the words and notes.  It’s feasible for sure, but she can feel the nerves prickling at her stomach.  Guitar Player leans into her space and she clocks how ridiculously attractive he is up close.  He gives her a smile.
“We alternative verses like this, see?  And I don’t know your range, but we can figure that out on the go.”  Julie gives him a small smile.
“Somewhere between mezzo-soprano and soprano.”
“We can work with that.” Guitar Player seems to vibrate with energy.  “Are you sure you wanna do this?”
“No pressure,” Bass Player adds.
“Like seriously, none.  We can just go home and cry,” Drum Player says.  Julie isn’t sure.  She really isn’t.  In fact, she’s pretty sure she should just run away and hope she never sees these guys again.
“I’m sure.”
Well, that’s that.
Guitar Player sends her a smile that looks genuinely like someone has funnelled sunlight into his body and Julie feels the nerves lift for half a second.  Then, they’re called to the stage and all of a sudden she feels like she could puke all over again.  Guitar Player grabs her hand and squeezes it.
“You got this.”
Julie files out with the rest of the band and she’s extremely grateful her friends aren’t sitting in her direct line of sight.  The piano is definitely worn out from use, but her fingers settle naturally on the keys and Julie tries to focus on the budding itch to perform in her stomach rather than the urge to throw up.  She’s supposed to start this song.  This song that she became aware of ten minutes earlier.  She catches Guitar Player’s eye and he nods encouragingly.
She presses down on the keys and opens her mouth.
Sometimes I think I'm falling down
I wanna cry, I'm calling out
For one more try to feel alive
And when I feel lost and alone
I know that I can make it home
Fight through the dark and find the spark

bestie if there was a way to fight your sleep schedule i would do that for you >:(
oh wow yeah !!! lurking and typing in the chat is just. my entire vc experience shdklfjdsf. either that, or sitting entirely still and breathing as lightly as possible so i don't make any sound, but it still looks like i have my mic unmuted.
!!! right. "*waves goodbye like im some woman with a hat in the 1920's watching my lover leave on a boat* farewell jatp hyperfixation! may you return to me soon with many gifts including but not limited to a GODDAMN SEASON 2." FHSDKLFJLSDF I LOVE THAT. SO MUCH. that is exactly what i'm going to be thinking of if/when i ever change my pfp-
it's honestly a little scary how much some people write fhsdkljf. how??? so technically. i've published one (1) fic, for jatp. but unofficially, i have a bunch of google docs for a lot of different fandoms. i wrote stuff for jatp, tua, marvel, kotlc, and probably a lot more but i either forgot them or they're kind of embarrassing so <3 i swear though, i'm writing a marvel fic now-ish and i wILL FINISH THIS ONE. and i'm also planning a jatp x tsoa au, and then in general i'd just like to have more. substance fhsdkljf.
OH MY GOD !!!! DUDE DUDE DUDE. that sounds wonderful and the vibes !!!! incredible. "i'd definitely have a few bookshelves and i'd organize the books so they're not all vertical so they look *aesthetic* and then i'd put some lil fake plants everywhere and i'd put fairy lights EVERYWHERE" THIS!!! SO MUCH AESTHETIC. i love everything about your bedroom holy shit <3
i have never heard that motivational saying but good gOD that's stupid. jesus that's just ???? so stupid wtf.
YES YES YES YES YES !!! i love writing, i really do, and when you can just GO and write the hell out of something. even if you never publish it!! it's still just. so fun and cool.
hfsdljfskd that is certainly a list /lh. the only reason i can talk is that i never write tv shows down, i just forget them all *lip bite* (that was. something, and not a good something fjsd). !!!!! i've heard of all of those, except elementary, and they apparently are all very good! i'm going to write those down on one app and then forget where i put the list and. hence why i never watch anything lmao
i've been meaning to watch,,,, uhhhh. atypical, toh, criminal minds, finish b99. and a lot more i just can't remember them. are most of them just bc that's what my mutuals have watched? mAybe but so what- i swear i do have original ideas. sometimes. maybe.
oh damn,, idk. movies are really cool because there's more of a Vibe, and they're definitely easier for me to watch. and it's pretty incredible what people can fit into a one to two hour film. but tv shows are great for something more casual? and i feel like it's much easier to find a fandom for a show than a movie. idk. there's probably a limit, i'm just not sure what it is yet. something with over ten seasons would definitely be less appealing than something with 2 or 3. i'd say 40 min episodes, because it's easier to have a story with more time, and it hopefully wouldn't be rushed. and it feels more substantial? or less like "oh man i watched 30 episodes in one sitting jesus cHRIST".
i think a forest. the idea of being stranded in mountains feels a little scary ngl, and while there is a lot of shelter, that's also a lot of climbing. so maybe not best for survival, and i also don't know where to get food on a mountain. island sounds nice, but i think a forest would be cooler :)
if you could have any job, even if it isn't something that's an actual job (like tumblr blogger, etc) what would you choose? would YOU rather be stranded on an island, in a forest, or in the mountains? if you made a tone indicator that doesn't exist already, what would it be? do you have any pet peeves? - đŸŒ”
hfsdfjsfl thanks you and me both bestie <3
oh my god no i do that too!! i dont want ppl to like. notice that im muted or anything so im just. silent like 'do not perceive me"
dude i've changed my pfp a bunch and it feels so weird like jatp i love you but- ????? sdfjejsdigisjkf
JATP TSOA ??? BESTIE YOU OWN MY HEART??? YOU WILL BREAK IT ???? you break jules heart?? you break it like the *shit whats a thing you break* mirror during an angsty movie scene??
thank you if only it could be a thing lmao <3
yeah it's real dumb. im very tired
yeah exactly!! like just the feelings of words pouring out of you so fast so fast is just amazing and so satisfying.
LIP BITE SDFGSGHSDLKJFSDKLFJSLDF PLEASE. ok no that's such a mood though, writing it down and then forgetting where you wrote it. literally i just remembered today i had a list of movies i've been meaning to watch. and then i found 3 separate notes because apparently i kept forgetting lol.
ahhhh omg cm!! criminal minds is pretty good and omg b99 my BELOVED!! can't really speak to the other ones but i've heard they're good so :D
yeah that definitely makes sense, tv shows are for sure more casual. in a weird way movies sometimes feel like more commitment? even though shows are technically longer lol. LMAO something over ten seasons... bestie do not watch criminal minds there are 15... yeah 40 minute episodes are great!!! i feel like also it really depends on the vibe of the show!! like if there was a 40 minute sitcom episode i don't think i'd be able to watch it.
oooooh omg forest yes that's so valid. a forest would definitely be cooler :D
i would choose to be an Emotional Support Julesℱ. my only purpose would literally just be to vibe around whoever hires me and give them hugs and positive energy. im portable and i can travel with them if they pay for my plane ticket :D batteries sold separately
huh idk being stranded anywhere is very scary but uhh. forest so maybe we could be in the same forest and we could find mushrooms together!!
ooooh a tone indicator that doesn't exist. hmmm. i don't know if this counts for tone but maybe just like /v and /a when venting about something, /v for just venting without wanting advice and /a for when you do want advice? just so people know how to respond.
dude i have so many pet peeves and uhhh. i forget every single one of them. im sorry bestie.
questions for you: what would your ideal job be, even if it's not an "official" job? would you rather have a mattress that is too hard or too soft? your thoughts on country music? do you enjoy icebreakers? if you didn't have to sleep, would you still choose to?
