Which do you prefer: Sylki or Thorki?

definitely Sylki but this post got long so we're gonna put it under a cut to save people's braincells

I feel like it's such an underrated kind of ship where you have two people who have never really been in love before slowly realizing that they're in love with each other and not really knowing what to do or how to handle it. from what little we've seen of Loki's life in Asgard, it looks like he'd been ostracized by his peers for a long time, and obviously Sylvie's spent most of her life on the run, so it kinda feels like this is the first time in a very long time where they've met someone they see as an equal, and who sees them as an equal. it's all uncharted territory for them — and I also think it's adorable that Loki's ready to dive right in and poor Sylvie's fucking terrified to show affection at all

I will admit though that Thorki has its perks because it's been around so much longer than Sylki so there are some really good Thorki posts that have been left to float around aimlessly through the hellsite. unlike Sylki, I've never actively sought out Thorki content, so my sample size is very small, but my unwavering position is that if you're gonna ship a semi-incestuous ship, it's gotta be weird. if your Thorki post doesn't touch on how fucking weird it is, your Thorki post is wrong. if your Thorki post does touch on how fucking weird it is, you need to make it weirder. and tbh no ship works as well as Thorki does for that because if you look at Thorki from the Avengers' POV it's an extra layer of weird on top of the existing weirdness because not only are they brothers but also Loki just tried to take over the world the other day and why is Thor in love with an evil dumbass and why is the evil dumbass in love with him back? coupled with the fact that they're both aliens which makes them each weird on an individual level, too. and that's not even mentioning how weird their relationship already is in canon, and it's really just weirdception over here.

basically, Thorki is valid for the comedic potential and Sylki is valid for the fact that they're two dumbasses in love who don't know how to be in love, but in the end, Lokius is still the superior Loki ship anyway
