author note: I can't explain it, but when I think of reader and lo'aks relationship, it makes me think of disney classic mothers with their children.

The setting sun beams down on you, a light chill from the waters and evening air sets in. Cooling your body from the days woek. You rose early with t'shahik. Learning the way of healing, of listening to the Great Mother.

When you were free from your studies, you returned to your mauri. Where your children awaited. Your daughter and Tuk enjoyed the waters while the boys went out further. Hunting, and bonidng with some of the villages boys.

It was you alone, waiting for Jake and Neytiri to return from a hunting party. Their second since your refugee time began. So you began the process of skinning the fish and boning it with careful fingers.

"Mother!" you could not fight the upturn of your lips as you cast a quick look over your shoulder. He quickly drops his hunting gear to bring his hand to hos forehead, "I see you."

"Ma Lo'ak! The prodigal hunter returns,"I see you as well."

"Netayem is helping the girls hunt," he crouches to sit beside you. You nod, carefully working the thin bones out the fish as to not snap or leave any behind.

"And did you and your brother catch anything today?"

"Yes! But it was big! It was at least double dads size. And It took three of us to take this thing down!" He spoke animatedly, using his hands to scale this creature. You couldn't fight the grin on your face as he wnt into more detail.

Before, he would spit out his distaste for this watery hela d he once called it. But now these days, since peace as finally been bestowed uppn you all with the death of that monster. There is a fondness and love in hs eyes. He misses the forest less, you can tell.

"Now tell me you were with...ah what is the boys name."

"Aonung! You should have seen him! We had a running bet to see who could dive the farthest. I was clearly the winner but then he goes on to say 'well then lets see who can stay underneath the longest!"

You huff out in lafter, wrapping the fresh food salted and seasoned tightly in leaves. Setting the bundles now one by one, Lo'ak helps you not missing a detail in this contest.

"Mother, you need to rest," Lo'ak grumbles watchng as you stand, pressing your hands to your back and stretching.

"How can I? I need to feed you my greedy little monster" you hiss playfully, setting the basket near the fire.

"You really need to, dads gonna start freaking out when you start showing more," his eyes glance down at your stomach. Your second born, you often forget they are even in there, but Lo'ak has his fathers eyes. "And plus Tsireya tells me you are learning from the healers."

"Lo'ak stubborn son of Toruk Makto listens to his father? I truly have lived long enough to see it all" you wistfully look up into the sky, laughter bubbles up in you at the sour look that descends on your sons face.

"I will rest as soon as I get a fire starting." But Lo'ak beats yo too it. Working with skillful hands a small ember begins to build which you fan till it is bright and warming you both.

You will admit, the cool waters sooth the ache in your feet, and Lo'ak sits close beside you. "Enough about me. Tell me about the hunt. How do you plan to capture the beast the next time your party sets out?"

Lo'ak explains it in great detail. When the chill of the evenings settles, he scoots over to you. Curling into your side, more tales of the day fill the space. But when Jake and Neytiri return with the girls curled in their arms, they find you and Lo'ak nestled together in your hammock.

I need some Neteyam x Socorro!daughter headcannon after reading your dad!quaritch stories about them! Maybe some about them together as human and some about them together after she becomes Na'vi

AS HUMAN: 

-Childhood sweethearts, obviously. Neyetam was the first to fall through, while Reader still struggle to admit to herself that she had a crush on her best friend.

-Neteyam didn't care that she was human, he only saw her and thought she was the prettiest thing he saw as she started to grow and develop more into her adult features and as for the reader she always thought Neteyam was beautiful.

-They both loved exploring Pandora together just the two of them. He loves the way her eyes light up when he takes her somewhere new. 

-She loves to fly with him on his ikran, it's her favorite thing in the world to either sit behind him with her wrapped around his waist or in front of him with his wrapped around hers as they fly

-Now the reader is about 5ft and Neteyam is about 8ft, so she constantly struggling to keep up with him, so sometimes he'll just let her climb on his back so he doesn't have to worry about losing her or her feet hurting her from all the walking they do. Plus he loves when he gets to carry her around

-He loves when she learns how to do his hair or how to help treat his wounds. She thinks it's cute how he thinks she so fragile and how worked up he gets when she does something stupid with Lo'ak. 

-He also loves how small and shy she gets whenever he kisses her cheek or brings her flowers. She loves when she tells him how good he did on a hunt or whatever, how happy and shy he gets. 

-He loves that even though she didn't have a relationship with her dad or the fact that she and Jake are close, she still listens to his rant about his dad with open ears and tries to help him in what way she can. 

-She loves that he comes to the lab just to spend more time with her when she wants to take her mask off and can't be outside

-She hates that she has to go back to the lab to take her mask off if she wants to kiss him or something, and he finds it adorable. 

-he loves that despite her being human, she has no problem attempting to fight people half her size. She loves that Neyetam waits for her signal before stepping in and defending her. 

-when her dad came back, he was worried for her, and she loved that he gave her time to figure out and deal with that without overstepping. 

-he doesn't trust Quaritch at first, but he does attempt to make nice once he sees that reader is giving him a chance 

-was a mess when she got kidnapped, it took everything neteyam had him not to go after right away. The second she was rescued, he kept her by his side, refusing to let her go.

AS NA'VI: 

-When she successfully transferred to an avatar, he was so happy! His baby wasn't such a danger to herself anymore, wait that's a lie....she loves to give him even more heart attacks now 

-He misses her being 3ft shorter than him and having to carry her everywhere and she misses being carried by her mate, so sometimes she'll ask him if he can carry her and he happily agrees every time

-They love flying together, when she got to choose her Ikran, he was nervous but was the proudest person ever when she made the connection right away

-Sometimes when they don't want to talk, they will connect their queues and just let each other feel their emotions which helps them make a deeper bond.

-She loves that she can kiss him without that stupid mask being in her way and takes full advantage of it, loving how shy Neyetam gets until he turns the tables on her. 

-He loves that he can just lean his head against hers, kiss her, or just touch her cheeks without the mask in the way, he loves being able to love on her extra more now. 

-She officially becomes his mate even though she was always before but now it's official, and after the ceremony, he refers to her as his wife whenever he gets the chance.  

-Helps her get adjusted to being a full Na'vi now, always gentle and patience with her whenever she doesn't nail something on the first time. 

-one of his favorite things is to watch her just run and be free with his siblings without a care in the world, even if she and Lo'ak give him 20 heart attacks a day from how reckless they are.
