like idk it just seems actually nefarious to take one of the very few widely known instances of queerness in older history being a symbol to show queer people that we've always existed and aren't alone for CENTURIES and taking away the queerness from it. like. i know some people say that ''the queerness isnt important in the book" which i mean in my opinion i could go off for 10k words in an essay as to how basil's love for dorian is integral to the story BUT EVEN APART from that its really just. having a real explicitly queer character in such an old and widely regarded classic novel is HUGE for queer history and this is just. literally like. its 2024. why are you doing queer erasure to DORIAN GRAY

I was reading your posts about Ari and Felix and this scenario popped into my head. Let me know what you think of it!

What if Felix’s family hosted some sort of Formal event in America and Felix took the opportunity to invite Ari. Whether Felix is planning to win her back or to apologize idk, and I think Ari certainly wouldn’t know. You can tell me if Ari would even consider attending, but I like the idea that she does, and that she brings Rocky along to make it absolutely clear she’s moved on. Like, to rub it in, a bit 😁. Eleanor would definitely want to go I think, maybe she convinces Ari to go so that she has an excuse to invite herself haha

Shenanigans would ensue I’m sure. Or at least drama. It’s fun to think about, right?

Félix is too sour to invite Ari to anything and she would definitely not go if he did, so my idea is more specifically at aunt Isa's birthday party: Ari receives an invite and knowing Félix and his family will most likely attend she really doesn't wanna go at first, but the thought of taking Rocky as her plus-one makes it sound more bearable (+ he gets to meet the rest of her family, and if she does bump into Félix she won't be alone ✨ hooray ✨)

there's a part of Félix that still likes Ari and wishes they could get back together somehow, but alas he's prideful and petty- the fact she broke up with him but is now dating a street rat his words not mine is like rubbing more salt in the wound. their reunion turns into a bit of a screaming match

i picture him pulling Rocky aside at some point to try and convince him Ari's a bitch who'll dump him as well once she gets bored 🙄

as for Eleanor, she'd get an invite too!! aunt Isa's friends with her and her boss! and y'know her nosy nature would make her aware of the drama surrounding Félix, so... ..before the party's over she's gonna put him in his place a little gdskgds

overall a 7.5/10 night, it ends on a good note despite the few bumps

except for Félix, his mother's gonna pull him by the ear on the way out ♥️

LMAO okay i could see this like a mix of internalized homophobia and his family pressuring him to be straight so he has a girlfriend in high school, but then they get pregnant at like 15/16 and his parents immediately are like no actually we’ve got this king, we’ll send her family some money to raise the child and discreetly suggest that they never talk to you again you don’t have to worry about it <3 and Jeremy is like 😳 bc he’s scared of being a teen dad. evidence for this theory supported by his parents not allowing him to adopt a dog (he already has a child)

the explanation for the fall banquet travesty is that it’s revealed to his team. and then in tsc3 Jeremy reconnects with his ex-girlfriend and child and then Jean meets Jeremy’s 6 year old daughter LOL
