this is even funnier considering the fact that some wuwa players were whining about how the men 'all have techwear' (quoted), but somehow the techwear is making them feel more unique in its simplicity... see jiyan (green outfit dude)

and when they DID try to deviate a bit from the 'chinese overdesigned gacha character' design with lingyang (the short furry boy), and ppl HATED everything about him

and boy do we even start with the female characters. yinlin's (third from the left) first design was miles better than her current one, the only thing the current design has going on is quite literally booba.

in fact wuwa looks the way it does in its current state (graphics, characters, area, vibes) is because ppl hated what it was back in beta and wanted it to be MORE like genshin, a quote that i heard was 'everything being so bleak and dark is boring'. wuwa's initial vibes leaned more towards nier automata believe it or not

all of this is me trying to say: gacha game characters (not just wuwa) look Like That because people Wanted That, and that's the sad and depressing part

I sincerely hope to see the downfall of this artstyle and character design style in my lifetime. This cannot continue
