And yes!!!! There is absolutely “canon gay.” In fact, while some characters are implied to be/popularly viewed as straight, as far as I can remember there are no explicitly confirmed straight characters in canon lol. The main romance is queer and is one of the best written romances in any piece of media ever (imho).

Of course, it is first and foremost a cosmic horror series so that is the focus and much as we like to joke about it being a workplace rom com that’s not what it is so don’t expect that (which is not to say there aren’s some great comedic moments, which just make the tragedy all the more poignant).

That said, the protagonist is biromantic and ace (and the ace rep is sooo good) and his romantic relationship with another male character is an extremely well done and important part of the narrative. There is also a canon wlw couple and just a lot of other LGBTQIA+ rep throughout. I’m not sure if you want to be spoiled so I’m being a bit vague but I can give you more details if you want.
