#uhhhh me #in terms of the CIA at least but like. ok.#i'm reading a book rn where the main character is part of an intelligence agency #and instead of. you know. gathering intelligence. he's out there beating up bad guys and arresting them #this is such a pet peeve of mine like i Know 'intelligence agency' sounds cool but literally call it anything else and i won't complain #this isn't even a case of 'organization that does intelligence work and also other things'#it's VERY specifically called 'intelligence service' like hello #'hi i'm an intelligence agent i catch crimes and i am the law' NO YOU'RE NOT.
