Vulvanic—ブラックエンジェルの色合い / 秘密の夜の殺人者 (Sentient Ruin Laboratories)
ブラックエンジェルの色合い / 秘密の夜の殺人者 by VULVANIC
Peruvian freaks Vulvanic play a variety of black metal that traces a number of trajectories back into underground heavy music’s eccentric and interrelated pasts. You can hear the dirty, disorderly thrash of Venom’s early records — “Sons of Satan” and “Bloodlust” seem especially relevant — in all their frothing, leather-clad heat. Just as significant is the vibratory bizarrerie of GISM; Vulvanic seems to have found the vocal stylings of Sakevi Yokoyama particularly influential, as well as the lunatic sensibility that GISM expressed in its various acronymic iterations (“Gothic Incest Sex Machine,” “God In the Schizoid Mind,” “Gore Impromptu Suicide Mine” or “Grubby Incest Stripper Mastitis”— a personal favorite of this reviewer). Somehow, Vulvanic manages to be sleazier, queasier and more generally batshit crazy than either of those legendary bands. The results are…not for everyone.
Likely it’s more accurate to predict that very, very few listeners will find this collection from the Lima-based band enjoyable. The croaking and groaning of singer Hórrdio frequently devolve into (hopefully?) simulated retching, pitched merciless high in the mix. The musicianship of the entities identified as Tz, Egore (nice one, dude) and Tenebrion is inspired — but by what, one can only wonder. A self-destructive dosage of amphetamines? A nihilistic indifference to local statutes regarding noise pollution? Flat-out aggressivity? Whatever the nature of the baneful energies the band has tapped into, they have issued in some memorably perverse sounds. Check out the climactic sheets of inarticulate shredding in the last third of “Evening of the Past” or the demented, wind-up-and-release action of “Who’s the Skin Taker.” Well-adjusted minds do not create those sorts of noises.
Which perhaps prompts the question: What sorts of minds respond positively to this music? This reviewer takes no firm position, but notes that anyone who has found recent records by Antediluvian or Siege Column stimulating will likely encounter some necessary medicine in Vulvanic’s songs. The tape is relentless, 40 minutes of sonic depravity that culminate in “Hidden,” the longest and most composed song Vulvanic has made. There’s still a fair amount of groaning and galvanic shredding, but they are arranged into semi-coherent forms. In the final minute, the band cycles in and out of a more-or-less rhythmic stomp and completely unhinged noise. It’s an impressive performance, channeling Vulvanic’s drug-fueled madness toward a maniacal crescendo. As if it could end any other way.

star trek drabble
Prompt: “good thing i didn’t ask for your opinion.”
Day 16! Note, there’s description of a broken bone in this one (not super gory)
———
This wasn’t their smartest decision; directly disobeying Starfleet command (again) and beaming down to the planet’s surface to inoculate the plant life (and the inhabitants only source of food) against a bacteria infection that would leave them devastated and starving—without the security of food shipments from warp capable civilizations. He calls it ‘their’ decision, because none of his bridge crew had called him out on it or argued after he’d declared their plans. Which was great, because he wasn’t about to leave this one up for debate. The bacteria was the same that had devastated Tarsus IV and he wasn’t about to let anyone stop him from helping.
The surface was idyllic; greenery (and blue-ery due to the high anthocyanin levels) in every direction, clear purple skies, there was even a rushing river ahead who’s source was their target.
“Based on our scans, this water source feeds more than 3/4ths of the planets singular landmass.” Spock says, barely looking up from his data pad as he starts towards the water.
“Wish we could just crop dust the darn things,” Jim mumbles to himself knowing exactly why they can’t have a flying craft sprinkle the component over the land—and more importantly the peoples—of a non-warp capable planet. While cropdusting would have gotten a higher percentage of the plant life, it would have also irrevocably impacted the peoples, and Jim was already anticipating the lecture he’s going to get from Starfleet command when they notice the Enterprise is still hovering over Lima VIII when told explicitly to make their way to the Echo quadrant. He follows after Spock, not even half as graceful even though he’s actually watching his steps.
“This will get the most populous regions,” Sulu says sympathetically though he’s not looking at any of them, instead staring with shiny eyes at the plants all around them, “their main cities and habitats are around the water sources.”
“Right,” Jim sighs, “which means that we have to be even more careful as we get to the source.”
“Because there’s always something looking to kill us.” Bones grumbles.
Jim can’t help but smile at Bones’ familiar grumbling—no matter where they were in the galaxy, there were some constants, “I told you, you didn’t have to come, we need a botanist, not a doctor.”
Bones snorts, “knowing your fool self, you always need a doctor.” Jim can’t say much to that.
They get through the foliage and towards the lest populated side of the water source—an absolutely huge lake fed by underground springs. They were on the only cliffside of the water, making it the only area that wasn’t teeming with settlements, both permanent and transient. It was beautiful. And it was going to stay that way, if Jim had any say in it.
“Alright, give me the gun.” Jim turns to Spock; gun isn’t exactly accurate, as those stopped being used well before Jim’s birth, but it was so reminiscent of those crude old time weapons that Jim couldn’t help it. It was also much easier to say than ‘antibacterial triggered projectile device’.
“You will need to aim at the center of the water for the most effective transfer of the component.” Spock says, handing over the device. He’d given up trying to get Jim to say it right a while ago. Jim tries not to grunt at the device’s weight—Vulcan strength is an unfair advantage.
Jim shoulders it and takes a step closer to the edge and then he’s on the ground.
————
Bones is kneeling over him, cursing. Spock has Jim half propped up against him, touching him much more than must be comfortable for the Vulcan, and Sulu is stepping back out of the foliage, phaser drawn and at the ready.
“It wasn’t manned.” Sulu says, keeping out of the way but clearly worried.
“How…” Jim looked down and feels ice run through his veins, “oh.” His leg is—shattered. There’s no other word for it. There’s a spear sticking out through his calf and it—it hit bone and won. Someone had torn away his pant leg and the skin was already purpling from internal bleeding and bruising. It looked so fundamentally wrong; Jim let his head fall back against Spock’s arm, nauseous. He doesn’t feel pain—he’s not sure if it’s shock or something Bones gave him or some mind magic that Spock’s doing.
“Don’t you fucking pass out you idiot.” Bones curses him, “‘don’t need a doctor’ my fucking ass.” He’s doing something—Jim can feel a pressure against his leg but he doesn’t dare move, and tries hard to focus on anything else. Spock’s shirt has a tiny loose thread. Very out of place for the meticulous first officer. Jim wants to cut it off.
“I need to get him back to the Enterprise.” Bones says, and he’s talking over Jim to Spock.
“They won’t be able to beam us up from here, we need to get back to the clearing.”
“Well lets fucking go!”
“Did ya get th’ stuff in the water?”
“I’m seeing movement—I think there was some kind of alert on the trap, there’s a group mobilizing.” Sulu says, eyes on the edges of the lake.
“Get it in the water—we need to—get it in.” Jim can’t leave with that not done. Sulu looks back at them for a moment; Spock nods. Sulu stows his phaser and grabs the gun, staying further from the edge than where Jim had stood. He gets one shot off. The recoil shakes the ground and Jim feels his muscles seize. The pain is starting to make its way through the shock. He lets out a harsh breath and tries to force himself to relax. Easier said than done.
Spock looks to the left, “I can hear them coming.”
“Get the other shots off, Sulu.” Jim gets out. There are two more that need to be in that water, otherwise this is all for nothing. Sulu nods, face stern, and resets, pulling the trigger again. The same wave of pain goes through Jim and Bones sticks him with something.
“That’s all I got—we need to get you back, now.”
Jim shakes his head; “There’s one more.”
Bones turns to Sulu, he can hear the incoming group too now, “well? Hurry it up!”
Sulu resets as fast as he can—but the incoming party heard the noise of the second shot too and they’re getting closer, faster. Sulu will be able to get it off, but they won’t be able to get back to the clearing fast enough to avoid the indigenous people, not with Jim as deadweight.
“Hey—hey you know what I think?” Jim can feel the slur in his voice—he reaches out a hand to Bones and puts his other on Spock’s arm, “I think you should go.”
Bones is splinting his leg with a branch, wrapping it with his torn pant, “Well, isn’t it a damn good thing I didn’t ask for your opinion on the fucking matter.” Each movement is fire up his leg and through his spine.
“I must agree with Dr. McCoy on this, Captain” Spock speaks calmly into Jim’s shoulder.
“Don’t sound so defeated over it Mr. Spock.” Bones ties the last of the fabric to the backdrop of Sulu’s final shot.
Jim gets out a laugh that makes both blue shirts look back at him with varying levels of worry. Sulu secures the gun to his back, he has that same look and Jim decides he doesn’t like it at all.
“This will hurt.” Spock says and then Jim’s being lifted up. God it hurts so much—Jim bites his lip as hard as he can to keep from screaming. He tastes copper. —— He wakes up in medbay and can help grinning. “We did it then?” Bones scoffs, “yeah you crazy bastard, we did it.”

Sajjra - Synthexcess - Andean folk/psych/electronic fusion (Buh Records)
Sajjra gives birth to 'Synthexcess', a new album to be published on vinyl by the label Buh Records. 'Synthexcess' was recorded between 2016 and 2017 in Rotterdam and it is a collection of telluric, ethereal, unique and unclassifiable songs. Sajjra’s sounds can call forth the resonance of Andean brass orchestras or of sublime natural landscapes. They emanate textures and rhythms that evoke urban and rural soundscapes mutating in epiphanies full of noise, color and trance. Chrs Galarreta Pando (Peru, 1976) is one of the important figures of the South American experimental underground. Going back and forth from Europe to his homeland, he has been experimenting with noise in a strictly DIY way since 1995. This philosophy has led him to expand his abilities into realms such as harsh-pop songs, experimental music, installation art, software hacking, free improvisation and electroacustic compositions. He is a man with many aliases and side projects: Aloardi, DiosMeHaViolado, Evamuss, Chrs, Tica, and Invisible Architecture among others. His song project Sajjra emerged from the depths of the Uku Pacha in 2012, merging psychedelic songs with andean-tropical music and sound experimentation. With the release of the two albums 'Sajjra' (CD, Aloardi, 2013) and 'The Sun Remains The Same' (12" Vinyl, Aloardi/Urbanoide/Fougère Musique, 2015), Sajjra fascinated the Peruvian alternative media, who chose 'The Sun Remains The Same' as album of the year 2015.
Songs 01, 03, 05 and 06 originally composed by Galarreta in Lima-Peru between 1993 & 1996. Songs 02 and 04 were reworked by Galarreta on 2017 as subversive echoes of the Peruvian traditional songs “Falsía” (of Emilio Alanya Carhuamaca) and “Aguas del Río Rimac” (of Víctor Alberto Gil Mallma, “El Picaflor de los Andes”).

007 || Solitaire
Name: Solitaire Age: 29 Relationship: single (verse depending) open for ships Sexuality: pansexual Job: Psychic medium Faceclaims: Jane Seymour; Adriana Lima Blog written by: @goodcryunicorn3
Solitaire is a psychic medium in the employ of Dr. Kananga who use of Tarot cards to serve him. She inherited her powers and her job from her mother but the one drawback to her ability is that she must remain a virgin in order to preserve it. While Kananga oversees the killings of three British and American spies investigating his illegal drug trafficking activities, Solitaire and he are present at a UN meeting in New York where a British intelligence operative named Dawes, the first target, is killed by an excruciatingly loud and sudden noise. Later, as James Bond travels to New York by plane to investigate the three murders, Solitaire describes his journey to Kananga through the use of her Tarot cards, causing the drug dealer to to try to get him killed by Whisper, one of his minions. But after arriving in New Orleans, Bond and Solitaire are captured by the taxi driver from Harlem and taken to Mr. Big. Before Bond can be given his 'skydiving lesson without a parachute' (meaning being thrown into a lake from out of a plane), he manages to escape but Solitaire is recaptured by Kananga's henchmen and taken back to the dictator. After a raid on the Fillet of Soul in New Orleans, Felix Leiter informs Bond (who destroyed the farm and defeated some of Kananga's men) that the drug dealer has taken Solitaire back to San Monique, leaving behind three Tarot cards: the High Priestess, the Moon and Death, all of which are half-burnt. Arriving on San Monique, where a voodoo ceremony is already underway, Bond looks on as Solitaire is led out for sacrifice. Tied to an altar by her arms, the young woman watches helplessly as a gleeful Dambala menaces her with the same snake that killed the unfortunate Baines earlier. However, just before it can inflict the fatal bite, Bond interrupts the ceremony, shoots Dambala dead, shoots another man, duels Baron Samedi and rescues Solitaire, whilst pre-planted explosives destroy part of Kananga's heroin cultivation grounds. While attempting to escape, the pair make their way through an underground passageway (via the lift that delivered Baron Samedi to the ceremony), which ultimately leads them to Kananga's underground base where they meet the politician with Whisper. Now that order is restored, Bond travels with Solitaire by train, unaware that Tee Hee, one of the survivors of Kananga's collapse, has smuggled himself onto the train as well, in a postal service sack. At night, after Solitaire beated Bond at gin rummy, she tries to have a quiet night but Tee Hee enters the room and traps the former psychic in the bed by folding it up against the wall, making her believe that 007 did it. After Bond kills Kananga's right-hand man by throwing him out of the window, he rescues his new girlfriend by pulling the bed out again and they soon make out.

November 2021 Update - Season 1; Chapters 1, 2, 3
Chapter 1: The Gaze
• Setting: Calcutta, 1980
• In what seems to be an underground cave, a sacrifice is made by a group adorned in red cloaks.
• Amala wakes up from “a dream” about a sacrifice taking place, in the middle of the bazaar. ❀ Meets Killian, who recognizes who she is ❈ He is the British task force’s military attaché ☉ Will protect group while investigating diplomat’s disappearance ❈ Amir tries to guilt Killian and Amala into buying ☉ Amir is a vendor; Amala passed out in front of his stall
• According to Killian, India gained its’ independence from England 30 years ago (1950s).
• The British Task Force... ❀ Was assembled to look for the missing diplomat ❀ Is based in India as that was the last location listed for the diplomat ❀ Consists of... ❈ Emmett Rose: Leader of the group ☉ Comes off as a major sexist ❈ Gabriel Grant: Emmett’s replacement ☉ Appears later in the story ❈ Killian Lightwood: Military attaché ☉ Also a captain in the British army ❈ Ratan Vaish: Local guide ❈ Lima Berg: Criminologist ❈ Amala Khan: Indiologist ☉ Has no work experience; took care of her family and the store ❀ Received reports that the diplomat arrived 2 weeks ago, but went silent 5 days ago ❀ Learns that beside his visit being officially of diplomatic nature, he had another reason for visiting Calcutta which was relating information back to the British government ❈ From earlier convo. with Killian, Amala learns it’s actually b/c England will periodically send diplomats to make sure India is remaining complacent to the Indian Independence Act’s key provisions that were set
• Amala was rushed to India to work this case. ❀ Her younger brother stayed behind in England ❀ Her family was from India, but long ago moved to England ❈ As far as she knows, she has no family in India ❀ She is placed with a host family, the Chauhans ❈ Was a last minute arrangement b/c hotel had no rooms ❈ They seem to live in a good neighborhood and are rich ❈ Chauhan residence consists of... ☉ Aryan > husband ☉ Priyanka > wife ☉ Sana > maid
• Sana warns Amala to be careful as she arrived to Calcutta at a bad moment. ❀ What Sana is warning Amala about is... ❈ The upcoming festivals: Durga Puja and Kali Puja ❈ People disappearing from the upper castes
• Amala is awoken during the night because she feels someone’s gaze on her. As she tries to investigate, she finds out that as far as she can see all the houses are experiencing a blackout.
• All of a sudden, Amala hears the floorboards creak behind her...
Chapter 2: A Trail of Breadcrumbs
• Frightened, Amala rushes out to the hallway where Priyanka meets her ❀ She informs Amala that blackouts are common in Calcutta as well as the noises in room, due to the house settling ❀ Chauhan’s house was built in the colonial period, dating it around 50+ years (1930s)
• The next morning... ❀ Priyanka advises Amala to dress like a local when she can ❈ B/c British people are neither liked or 100% welcome in Calcutta ❀ Amala calls her brother, Kiran ❈ He is staying w/ a nanny ❈ Kiran is only 14 years old ❈ 2 years ago, their mother abandoned them w/o reason ❈ Kiran says he failed his English test; might be captain of his team ❈ Amala asks his about their grandmother, Kiran states she’s lost in her own world ❀ According to Priyanka... ❈ Kiran = ray of sunshine ❈ Amala = shiny; crystal clear
• During breakfast, Ratan arrives to take Amala to the hotel.
• The search for clues regarding diplomat Hayes starts... ❀ The diplomat is named Mr. Hayes ❀ Stayed at the hotel that the other task force members are staying in ❀ Ratan was Hayes’ guide for the first few days he was in India ❈ Ratan noticed he was very anxious ❈ The diplomat declined any further assistance from Ratan ❀ Choose who to interrogate the staff w/... ❈ Ratan > interrogate Ravi, waiter at hotel’s restaurant ☉ He attended her colleagues in the morning ☉ Ravi says he delivered dinner multiple times to Hayes’ room ✺ Only him, and him alone was allowed to deliver ✺ Hayes never went down to eat at the restaurant ☉ Ravi keeps looking behind Amala, scared and confused ✺ Fed up, Amala looks in that direction and only finds Ratan ☉ Amala says mother and grandmother didn’t want to return to India ❈ Killian > ❈ Lima > ❀ After a while not seeing Hayes, a maid was sent to check up on Hayes ❈ Found something in the room > quit that day ❈ Further staff was ordered not to touch the room at all
Chapter 3: The Vision
• Continuing the investigation for the missing diplomat... ❀ Examining Hayes’ room and belongings ❈ Desk > Hayes’ papers of identification (passport, embassy ID, etc) ☉ Killain starts to suspect Hayes had been killed/died ❈ Diary > Hayes kept records of his meetings ☉ Listed safety rules for staying in India ☉ Several pages had been torn out ☉ Amala decides to take the diary home to read it more in depth ❈ Bathroom > Diplomat left his toothbrush, toothpaste, and a brush ❀ Pacing the room, Amala finds a fingernail > she opens the closet and find it has been clawed from the inside
• Concluding the investigation of the diplomat’s room, as well as being horrified by what they saw, everyone but Amala leaves the room > since Amala is alone, she ends up having a vision of someone being brutally murdered.
• Back Chauhan’s home, Sana and Amala talk. ❀ Sana questions Amala if something happened ❈ Amala remains vague ❈ Sana clues that things are worse than what she feared ❀ Their conversation is cut short due to the floorboards creaking ❈ Signals someone was listening in to their conversation ❀ “Ill tell you everything” > Conversation is moved to Amala’s room ❈ Sana informs Amala she can see more than ordinary people ☉ Amala is closer to the other world than their world ☉ Both worlds are only separated by a thin veil ❈ People who are able to see more are known as Brahmins ☉ Are said to have a stronger connection with the spiritual realm ☉ Are also of the highest caste in India ☉ Experts in the Vedas and other sacred texts ❈ Sana’s family used to work for a family who were not Brahmin ☉ They belonged to that caste by birthright, ☉ Sana admits she doesn’t know a lot, only some things
• Before work the next morning, Priyanka wishes that Amala can stay for the festivals Durga Puja and Kali Puja which will happen some time soon.
• Lima arrives furious, picking Amala up since a body has been found near the embassy. ❀ Rose and Lightwood decided they didn’t want Amala to be part of the investigation, fearing she hadn’t recovered from the day before ❀ The body isn’t the diplomat’s ❀ The body found was part of a ritual murder
Kali: Call of Darkness
~The Story so Far~
The deeper she delves into the investigation, the clearer it becomes: something ancient and incredibly powerful is involved.

scary stories around the neighborhood ...
Something odd in the background noise -- I asked a neighbor if he had heard the people in prison play yard since the helicopter incident. Its not just me that had noticed the quiet from that section of the population. Maybe they are in really tight lock down as they may be under staffed.
I have one neighbor who I think is building a good old fashion bomb shelter or one heck of a roomy underground wine cellar in his back yard. He has been digging every chance he gets and today had a small cargo box delivered that was placed in the back yard and the fence went back up. I don’t know whether to laugh, cry or be in awe ... I think I am in awe. Maybe its a swimming pool and the container will be his pool side cabana bar/ guest house ... speculation at best with Mr. Unapproachable. I like him for that: gruff, tough and don’t even look at me attitude. I respect that. But I still like to speculate on his mystery ‘project’. He does some late night tinkering/ building in his garage and has the strangest group of people in and out of there, every thing from bicycles, motorcycles and kinetic sculpture stuff. Probably more that I haven’t seen and don’t want to see.
My punk neighbor announced today that if the SHTF, she knows how to get over my fence. I’m not sure how I feel about That. I suggested she way want to try the front door first where its safer. Her eyes crinkled up ... maybe she was sizing me up or maybe that is how she smiles, idk. See how long she last until she goes on another bender, disappears and makes her mother crazier.
People have decided they aren’t going to use the sidewalks.
People are wearing their mandatory mask as arm bands, on top of their heads, strapped to the backs of their heads and one person, around the ankle. I would estimate that half wear them around their throats. We are ‘required’ to wear them anytime you are outside your home (yes, they even want you to wear them in your automobile while driving).
My eldest daughter is still wondering about people shanking others for their goods. I remind her that really, they were doing that before the panic-demic. Now instead of drugs, high end footwear, girls or designer sunglasses, we can hypothesize and write scary bed time stories as to will it be for canned raviolis and frozen pork chops. Definitely not Lima Beans.
