why does everybody pick just some random ass dog for their fursona. like i understand the bias towards dogs and cats being the most conventional pet animals and so the most familiar to a lot of people. but like that cannot explain how many dog fursonas there are. and like not even any specific breed of dog. always just Dog but not anything that even resembles some kind of mutt. like furry art has kind of cannibalized itself over the years and so most people have the same damn art style and same Dogs, except for the nerds who like environmental science who have five dozen ocs that are all distinct species of bird, and also people who give a shit about character design beyond the Dog so they learned how to draw different animals
