ppl on tumblr love to say punk when they just mean ancom
#☢️.txt#like....... not ALL punks are actually ancoms but when ppl say someone has 'punk ideals'#they usually then just describe leftist anarchists!#while politics are DEFINITELY v important in the history of punk it was still primarily a music scene#like you absolutely see the influence anarchism had on punk even in genres that were influenced by punk#but. punk and anarchist are not synonyms#a lot of anarchists lean alt bc of the Nature of anarchism but there are a lot of very normie looking anarchists too#(ppl also love to pretend that socdems and MLs arent present in alt spaces and let me tell you.)#(outside of punk most alt spaces are COVERED in socdems. its v funny to me when ppl assume goth leans anarchist)#(bc of it growing directly from punk. no most goths are either socdem or MLs in my experience. except deathrockers theyre anarchists)
