I saw! It boils down to "We are aware, it currently passes tests but it's iffy so maybe we'll make new tests but maybe not" <- nothingburger of a statement as per usual.

To me. I actually think it's pretty cool when teams find loopholes that are technically within the letter of the rules but nobody else has thought of. It's cool! It drives innovation! If it's accepted, yeah Mclaren would have some advantage in Vegas, but then everyone else would be copying it for next season. However. In this case, ngl, I'd much rather they banned it altogether. It's technically legal and a good loophole to get around limitations on DRS tech, but imo it's against the spirit of the rules about safety prevention. All DRS bodywork is supposed to be able to close fully under failure, and you can't guarantee that with the flappy wing. So EYE would rather they banned it rather than seeing it on multiple cars next season even if it meant my team also had it.

If they banned it before Vegas I would be very happy for Ferrari fan reasons, but if I had to choose between it staying legal for 2025 and other teams copying it and it being entirely banned for next season, I'd pick the latter.
