Sometimes I think about how Wendy is both kinder and crueler than she would be otherwise due to the way her background radiation of despair flattens everything
#my post’s#my post's#dont starve#dst#wendy dst#like. she doesn't care much for appearances or normalcy (in a non-constant standard way)#allowing her and webber to be friends#allowing her to deal with the horrors of the constant#she has mastery over a form of magic which allows her to face these things on an equal footing and her mental defences against them are#pretty damn good for a 9yo. because she's too sad to be horrified#but also she has this vicious streak that nobody seems to notice#'suffer worm! death will find you! the way she can order Abby at any time to Start Killing#her damage bonuses when Abby's already attacking#it's an interesting set of traits. I think she takes after Maxwell in the way that anybody with magical powers in this world goes a tiny bit#mad with it. even wickerbottom isn't perfectly responsible with hers#in conclusion. I like wendy#you guys don't write her mean enough
