#silm#silmarillion#gil galad#again very very fun to do#designing Elf Form Huan was really interesting#he is still somewhat of a dog and does not really understand why People wear clothes#he also wears a headband because celegorm did so he kind of sees it as a People Thing#the necklace is like his collar he took from sauron#hes also unnaturally tall and skinny even in elf form because he is still originally a wolfhound#orodreth -> fingon-galads design was basically nolofinwean style stuff with arafinwean hair & face#also it seems that orodreth adopted out gil galad but not finduilas for some reason lol#gil-finwe is definitely the most ornate of all of them#hand-galad is definitely one of the crazier theories but somehow it does make sense in the context of the legendarium#like. luthien exists why not hand-galad#his right hand is a few thousand years older than the rest of him#very funny how the further we get down Gil Galad Variations the crazier the theories get#Gil galad is a group project#<- from asianbutnotjapanese#like we started out with primarily various combinations of son of maedhros/fingon/orodreth#and now we have 'time traveling elrohir' 'huan reborn as an elf' and 'maedhros' reanimated and cloned hand'
