WHY DOESN'T SHE HAVE A SWORD #i've mentioned once that yanli's lack of depth rly stands out bc she's in a story where every character feels like #they could be the protag of their own story #and she genuinely doesn't. she only exists whenever the major characters mention her #like... what does she even Do most of the time. what is her life like #i love the peeps we get into her role as the mediator of the family. god knows i relate.#which is why it makes me sad that's all there is to her. to be nice and defend her brothers and pine and then die #like mxtx ma'am come on i love your books but how do you write svsss and then do that to yanli #this is a xianxia setting!! you could have given jyl so much more to do and be #WHERE are the female cultivators ma'am #modao #lace speaks
