every time someone tells me that I'm "high functioning" or "only a little autistic" it almost makes me wish i struggled more visibly. you Do Not Know what i go through every single fucking day
#mrowr.txt#my coworkers and i were talking about disabilities/autism#and one of them was saying how people shouldnt let their disabilities define them#and they should be more confident and stuff#like?? you are able bodied? your opinion doesn't matter?#depression and anxiety can be disabling for a person sure but you do NOT have a say#i literally cannot function because of how my brain works fairly often#like you're really gonna tell someone with EDS that their disability shouldnt define them?#someone in a wheelchair??#you gonna tell someone with a physical disability#that the world DOES NOT cater to#that it shouldnt define them??#not everyone wants to be above their disability.#not everyone wants to act like being disabled. visible or not. physical or mental. isnt so fucking hard#because it is. life is 500× harder#and you. do. not. get. a. say.#white abled bodied neurotypicals need to SHUT THE FUCK UP.
