i forgot just how good season 1 of supernatural was. it's such a vibe! i am having such a good time. i love the lore, i love the simplicity of it, i love the brotherly bickering, i love young jensen ackles. i don't love dean's daddy's boy persona or sam's smarter than you persona, but it's a good basis for character development so it's okay. my favourite episode so far is dead in the water. it's such a dean arc episode, and i love that the main supporting character is a kid. i'd forgotten they'd actually mentioned dean's trauma induced mutism in the series. the parallel with little lucas, and the way dean cares so much about him despite only knowing him for like, two days. that's basically the introduction of mom!dean. which is one of the most interesting things about his character. yeah i'm a dean girl we get it.
