Odds & Ends (in no particular order):
I happen to know there is nothing wrong with the ballots. Trump.
There is a better than even chance that Trump will declare the election results invalid, if he loses, and attempt to remain in power. His supporters will be chanting. ----------------
Yes...
it looks like Trump intends to stay no matter what. Republicans ought to have a problem with that.
It feels like this country is on the edge of something...not good. And I thought it was bad when the economy crashed in '08. If we could trade one for the other...
The problem has much to do with a president who, on the one hand, isn't remarkably competent or effective, but on the other hand has an unsavory view of America and his role in the country.
He isn't very effective, but he knows how to fix that. What bothers me more than Trump himself is the 35% of Americans who believe he is perfectly okay. And he believes himself to be perfectly okay. He's not okay. ---------------------
This is the worst episode in America I have seen in my lifetime. The turbulent 60s were nothing compared to the Trump disaster and all its associated symptoms.
Our democracy, and the American way of life, are threatened. It doesn't get any worse, really. I was born in 1959. --------------------
It is a peculiar thing: Trump is a pathological liar, but you can depend on the terrible, awful nightmarish threats he issues.
Declaring the ballots invalid amounts to an enormous falsehood, but I believe he would try it if he thought it would work. --------------------
In the mind of Trump, the word 'win' is quite a different thing than you might think. His mind does not operate normally.
He has narcissistic personality disorder, a clinical condition confirmed by his niece, who has a doctorate in clinical psychology. One aspect of the disorder is what you might call an absence of the concept of 'truth', or 'factual information'.
Information exists only in relation to what it might do for, or against, the narcissist. ---------------
The coronavirus has actually been politicised here in America. But a virus is not affected by politics. The virus does not care. --------------------
I've heard this thing about 'owning the libs', or 'earning liberal tears'. I'm more of a centrist than anything else, but I admit to having liberal tendencies.
But I bite back. A journalist covering politics has to be a mean bastard, otherwise you get no respect. Let's consider rapprochement.
But here's the odd thing: I have much more interest in various subjects other than politics. I just happened to get onboard early during the Trump disaster. -------------------------
If Trump refuses to leave a military escort is not out of the question. And there is nothing wrong with the ballots: You count them. That's it.
By global standards, American elections are a model of efficiency and propriety.
Let's not mess up our elections with nitpicking, pointless legal loopholes and regulations, and excessive, vacuous arguing.
A military escort, along with shackles and handcuffs for good measure. ---------------------
Elections in Russia are a joke. Putin won re-election by over 98%. Yeah right. And he has amended the Russian constitution, a quite elastic document, to make himself president for life. Poor Trump. He wants to be president for life. Phooey. ----------------------
But is he really gaslighting anyone? No one believes anything he says. He will lie and cheat in an attempt to remain in office--even if he loses. It's more like a brutal and brazen power grab.
--------------------
I view my own role as a journalist...
as something of an enforcer: Trump has to be called out when he gets out of line. I'm entirely independent and unregulated, a 'citizen volunteer' you might say. I don't have to fit into an organisation or hierarchy, or please an editor or producer.
I can state my case exactly as I see it, and be as harsh and critical as necessary.   -----------------------
We must rebuild democracy in America. -----------------
I have to say I see an unusual voter turnout on the way: A great many of us Americans are furious and animated. And Trump supporters are feeling some discomfort. ----------------
Masha Gessen raised more than a few salient points. What sticks in my mind is resisting any acceptance of Trumpism as having become *normal*, that is to say, acceptable.
Trumpism is highly abnormal, authoritarian and un-American.
And 35-40% of Americans seem to believe Trumpism is perfectly alright! How did that get started? Where does it come from?
I suppose you have to say that authoritarianism is always closer than you might think.
'When fascism comes to America it will be wrapped in the flag and carrying a cross.' --Sinclair Lewis
The reference to religion will offend some people, but remember: We have a contingent of evangelicals who really are not about religious freedom. Their mission is to impose their beliefs on everyone.   -----------------------
Handcuffs and shackles...
and a stiff dose of thorazine. You think I'm joking. I'm not. Trump simply can't be allowed to remain in office illegally.
If he must be physically removed, so be it.
His supporters will not believe the lies he puts across in his own defense; they will only participate in those lies. No one believes anything he says.
Trump has an extremely malignant and dysfunctional personality, and the problem must be approached in that way: If he refuses to physically vacate after losing the election it will be the behaviour of a literally sick man.
He will not be allowed to have a functional staff. All of his presidential functions will be cut off, and he will be isolated. Joe Biden will begin to carry out the functions of the president off-site, until Trump begins to face reality.
Or he might simply be physically removed. In any case, the idea that he will continue to function as president by personal defiance will not square with reality.
All of my writing goes to the White House: Read it. Trump.   -------------------------
The margin of victory Joe Biden achieves absolutely does not matter. The larger the jollier, but a victory is a victory, and that's it: Reality doesn't seem to be very popular these days.
Everybody seems to have Trump derangement syndrome. And I thought mental illness isn't contagious.
Trump himself actually is seriously mentally ill. His mind is not right, and it never has been right. A man who believes he can just hang around and continue to function in the office of the presidency has some problems.
Wake up, Trump, or suffer tremendous humiliation. --------------------
Well, so far...
the Affordable Care Act has not been repealed, and there is no replacement on the way. Anyone who opposes affordable care must be wealthy. I expect the president, however, to be replaced. Joe Biden will be tasked with cleaning up the mess.
Lucky for all of us Americans, Trump's general ignorance renders him somewhat ineffective. He doesn't understand how government functions, and he has never before occupied an elected office of any kind.
Despite the lip service, I suspect a great many Trump supporters have buyer's remorse, which might be reflected at the polls. He hasn't acted on their concerns--he doesn't even have a clear idea what those concerns might be.
The one thing he has demonstrated is a harsh set of immigration policies. Some of those policies are illegal both under domestic and international law.
What a mess. What a totally messed up mess.
When we finally get rid of Trump, and that day will come, I'll be taking some much needed rest. And a change of vocation.
It is true that we must take his bent towards authoritarianism seriously, and it is being taken seriously. By me, at least.

Another Trumpet Bites The Dust
So, I got called a "creep" for defending Biden against this dumb fuckery. I'm a creep because they were embarrassed...... not because they reflected for TEN SECONDS and realized, okay you have a point. This DOES make me look like a hypocrite and quietly deleting the post hoping no one else would see it. They did it because they knew DAMN WELL how WRONG they really were and can't stand how much they embarrassed THEMSELF. The typical Chump supporter is a fellow narcissist and the narcissistic personality can never admit fault, even when they're caught RED HANDED. They post all this crap about Holy Trump this, and Godsend Trump that, and then post something criticizing another for the EXACT SAME THING?! There's a word for that.
hypocrite
 noun
hyp·o·crite | \ ˈhi-pə-ˌkrit  \
Definition of hypocrite
1: a person who puts on a false appearance of virtue or religion
2: a person who acts in contradiction to his or her stated beliefs or feelings
I wonder if they realize that they are the literal definition of this word when it comes to definitions 1 and 2? 🤣🤣
So, here's what happened. Sean Hannity tried to make a big deal of #JoeBiden kissing his own granddaughter on the lips. I don't BELIEVE that I have to explain this, but some families do that. I kiss my daughter on the cheek, but she's a mouth kisser. So, I kiss her on the mouth. I researched this a few years ago when she started doing this as I was raised to kiss the cheek and felt weird about it. What I found was that child psychologists say there's nothing wrong with it and in fact, encourage it in some instances. Truth be told - there's no "right way" to show affection to your children, loved ones and that any affection shown to a child is a good thing.

Now, it's one thing to talk about someone politically, but to say the things that some are saying about him is just plain wrong. Imagine someone said that about you...?! Not to mention the fact that the guy these people support has ACTUALLY been ACCUSED of sexual assault by over FIFTY women, two of which were minors, one of which came out with her allegations against Trump and Epstein BEFORE the election and BEFORE Epstein was EVER accused by anyone else!!! 😲😲
https://www.snopes.com/news/2016/06/23/donald-trump-rape-lawsuit/amp/
I find it rather hypocritical, ignorant and foolish, (not to mention embarrassing), how Trump's base constantly accuses others of doing the same exact shit that Trump does, with NO EVIDENCE to back up their claims WHATSOEVER. That is HIS granddaughter and she seemed perfectly content to me. You'd think they'd learn after they got caught doctoring that one video of Joe Biden, Jeff Sessions and his grandkid. It turns out that the video was doctored by a "YouTuber". (Surprise, surprise.) They call these "deep fake" videos, mostly purported by the right.
Furthermore, by their own standards, Trump HAS to be a child molester. If pictures of kissing a family member on the mouth makes one a child molester, than he is guilty as all get out. I highly doubt they would like to address the PLETHORA of pictures and videos of Trump inappropriately touching his daughter at young ages? Or do they not know anything about that? (Of COURSE they know.) Or is it okay because no matter what that PIG does, people back him up anyway because the non-existent-never-gonna-happen wall is more important? (Racism at it's HEIGHT).
Picture 1:
Ivanka and her Dad at age 14. His hand is under her breast. He must be a child molester!
Tumblr media
Picture 2:
Ivanka at age 14 being inappropriately touched by her father.
Tumblr media
Picture 3:
At age 17 sitting on her Dad's lap. Sorry. That's a bit inappropriate in my OPINION. He must be a child molester.
Tumblr media
Picture 4:
Ivanka at age 15. Her Dad's hand around her hip again. I find this also inappropriate. He must be a child molester per your observations.
Tumblr media
Pictures 5-7:
The Trumps in 2017. His hand is on her hips while his fingers rest on his daughter's ASS. DEFINITELY not cool. He must be a child molester!!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Pictures 8-9:
And last but not least, TRUMP KISSING HIS OWN DAUGHTER ON THE LIPS.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
They walked into that one, just like Hannity did. He's the epitome of a hypocrite, so I'd steer clear of repeating anything he says if you folks want people to ever take you seriously.
Now, at the end of the day, I ALWAYS do my research. I read...a LOT... and I am VERY intelligent. I know the difference between real accusations and a smear campaign, especially after Trump got CAUGHT smearing Biden, Yovanovich, and several others. (This is why you can't just spew forth anything that comes to the top of your head. No one believes you - even when you're telling the truth.) Now... Joe Biden is one of those touchy feely people. I'M A TOUCHY FEELY TYPE OF PERSON. I DARE someone to call ME a child molester. Im not Joe!! I'll find you and beat the fuckin brakes off of you. But, since Joe IS A GOOD PERSON, he put out a statement saying he understands why some might misconstrue his intentions. That's funny, because I sure the hell can't. I can tell you that I am a VERY affectionate person and no one has EVER accused me of such a thing. Why? Besides the obvious, it's not NORMAL to compare a touchy feely personality WITH A CHILD MOLESTER!!!!!!!!!! What the actual fuck, man? I'm sick of these dirty politics and Russian propaganda in my face every day. No offense to the Trump supporters on my buddy list, but if this post describes you, than you need to WAKE UP. Joe took the HIGH ROAD. He not only answered to his incredible allegations, and said that he would work on not being so touchy feely in the future.
https://youtu.be/1jc5Ec8SWQk
So, now all you have left is the very real lawsuit against Trump for RAPING a THIRTEEN YEAR OLD GIRL. Make a post of your outrage at this incident or SHUT THE FUCK UP because no one worth a fuck is falling for it.
I will also explain WHY this doesn't make sense EITHER WAY you spin it, to those of you who STILL just don't GET IT. Let's say for shits and giggles that yesterday I posted something nasty about another clean addict on the methadone clinic and said that they weren't really clean. Then today, I post something else congratulating a different methadone patient on their "sobriety". Now, would you be able to take ANYTHING I said in the future regarding addiction, or anything else for that matter, seriously? No. Of course you wouldn't. Why? Because you would have seen that I had contradicted myself via hypocrisy. You would have seen that I had already stated that I don't believe such a person is clean, so why the FUCK would I congratulate someone for something I believed they were NOT. I WOULDN'T. I'm not a hypocrite. You do the math. 😉😉❤❤

"What to do with Israel?
"The rich and powerful have inevitably gone too far and have finally received their punishment. Perhaps the 'gone too far' moment has finally arrived.
By Jonas E. Alexis - March 6, 2021
... introduction by Jonas E. Alexis, VT Editor
JEA: Philip Giraldi did it again. He essentially worked out a reasonable solution to Israel's problem. We all know that Israel is a problem child and that if nothing is done to stop this evil entity from bleeding America to death in the Middle East and elsewhere, then America will continue to be buried under an avalanche of debt and death. of precious souls. Two applause for Giraldi.
Filippo Giraldi
Critics of US policy with and against Israel like myself have been relatively successful in describing the considerable drawback of the bilateral status quo. We have shown that the lopsided report supports absolutely no US interests and that, on the contrary, considerable harm is being done to the American people, including involvement in armed conflicts in the Middle East that serve no purpose other than "to protect Israel".
Israel benefits from billions of US taxpayer dollars each year in a lump sum of $ 3.8 billion in "military aid" plus hundreds of millions more in special contracts and projects that together are considered untouchable in Washington. Add to that the quasi-legal tax-free "charitable" contributions from wealthy American Jews and groups that fuel apartheid policies in Palestine and pay for illegal settlements. Many of those same groups are themselves tax-exempt and use that status to actively lobby the Jewish state, successfully protecting it from any consequences for its war crimes and human rights violations. They also avoid registration under the Foreign Agents Registration Act of 1938, although many of them collude directly with the Israeli government through its embassy in Washington and are headed by the government of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Indeed, no member of the Israeli lobby among the six hundred Jewish groups that have the protection of Israel as part of their agenda has ever been required to register as a foreign agent.
Under President Donald Trump, Jewish billionaire Sheldon Adelson contributed up to $ 300 million to the GOP, money he had a quid pro quo, that Trump was supposed to do a number of favors for Israel, which he did. . The Democrats have their counterpart in Israeli film producer Haim Saban, who said he was "a one-man guy and his problem with him is Israel." Neither of the two main parties can be counted on to resist Israeli pressure on foreign policy or even internal issues that could limit the "aid" the Jewish state receives.
Money from the Israeli lobby has corrupted the US government down to the local level, and special preferences for Israeli businesses in states like Florida and Virginia have added even more to the one-way cash flow. Ironically, Israel doesn't really need the money. It is a socialist state that has a European standard of living, including free health care and university education, benefits Americans do not have.
Add to this Israel's deplorable human rights record, which Washington is required to uphold in international fora, as well as Israel's record of persistent and highly damaging espionage against the United States. All of which means that there is little else to say other than reiterating the fact that it is bad business for the American people. It has also brought collateral damage with it, including attacks on fundamental rights such as freedom of speech and assembly. As politicians from both major parties are either corrupt or otherwise forced to continue behaving as they do, count on things to get even worse, criminalizing any criticism of Israel as anti-Semitism is currently making the rounds of pending legislation.
That said, when I and others put out Israel's list of crimes against America, some sympathizers inevitably respond, "Okay, so what are you going to do about it?" So now I will address some of the things that can be done by ordinary Americans and groups that are rightfully upset by the hoax of Washington's relationship with the Jewish state.
First of all, ask our elected officials that American law be applied to Israel. There are several areas where this is relevant. First, as mentioned above, is the failure of the Departments of Justice and Treasury to enforce the registration of pro-Israel lobbying groups. Registration would force groups such as the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC), the Foundation for Defense of Democracies (FDD), the Washington Institute for Near East Policy (WINEP), and the Jewish National Security Institute of America (JINSA ) to open their books regarding the money they receive and spend and may also require them to disclose the details of their lobbying.
Another area where the law is not enforced is Israel's nuclear arsenal, which was created by stealing both technology and enriched uranium from the U.S. Symington's Foreign Relations Amendment prohibits providing aid to any country. whether it is a nuclear proliferator or is in possession. of undeclared nuclear weapons. Call for it to be fully implemented now and for all aid to Israel to cease.
US Israeli-centered charities or foundations should also strictly enforce their tax exemptions. Humanitarian aid is fine, but if they are funding illegal West Bank settlements, which are many of them, they should revoke their exemptions. Finally, Israelis caught spying or Americans witnessing the theft of US confidential or confidential information should be prosecuted to the fullest extent permitted by law, including the use of the Espionage Act. Currently, such individuals are almost always granted a ride . If President Joe Biden can continue the persecution of legitimate journalist Julian Assange under the Espionage Act, he can certainly do the same of Israeli spies.
Second, call for an end to Citizens United, which allows Zionist oligarchs to dictate US policy in the Middle East through their PACs and direct political donations. Beyond that, make your voice heard in a more general way. Sure, calling or writing to a congressional office is very often a waste of time, but Capitol Hill staff have told me many times that if a congressman gets multiple complaints about a certain policy or issue, they'll start paying attention. This does not mean that they will give a damn about their actual voters against the powerful Israeli lobby, but the background noise could make them just a little more sensitive on the issue. "
