also ever since i was a little girl, i always wished for the "rpc psa" posters to learn what it means to set boundaries before they make posts about doing it.
#๐ หโ ยท ๐๐๐ ๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ โ long lost words whisper slowly to me. โ#like when ur setting a boundary. it should always point inwards. boundaries aren't meant to be rules for you to impose on other people.#b/c if you are using boundaries to impose rules on what someone can or can't do. that's called being Controlling KJFDFKJ.#instead boundaries are more like rules for /you/ and you only. they help you define what you will or won't tolerate from others;#and how you'll respond should they be overstepped.#ex: โdo not do this.โ = bad boundary. controlling. probably what you would say trying to train your dog.#โif you do this. i will not be tolerating that.โ = good boundary. tells the other person how you'll respond if they cross said boundary.#also important: people are likely gonna cross your boundaries on accident a lot in life. it's never the end of the world. just talk to them#if they react disrespectfully then you can remove yourself. but i promise; not everything is meant to be an attack against you.#saying this because i keep seeing psa posts where they kinda weaponize the concept of setting boundaries. and it's like... Ehhh.#not saying ppl can't do that but setting a boundary to which i will react by explaining proper boundaries when i see these posts /HJ. LMAO#anywayz i need to stop yapping and CLEAN DASHBOARD and do blog stuff.
