when you say ed has body image issues what do you mean by that???

I mean that I headcanon that Ed doesn't think very highly of himself physically; like he feels like he's not much to look at.

He knows he's smart, strong, and he's a great Alchemist, but he feels like that's pretty much where his desirable qualities end. He hates pretty much everything about his body; his height, his stumps, his country-boy teeth, (the fact he looks so much like his dad), but bottles it up because he feels like he should be grateful to have any body at all when Alphonse doesn't.

This comes out a bit in my writing, mostly in To Hell and Back for obvious reasons, but it's been cropping up in other fics that are still WIPs lately as well. I don't even really have any canon evidence for it, it's just a vibe I get lol Plus the fact Ed blames himself for Al being stuck in the armour and hates himself is practically, if not literally, canon.
