Hélianthe and Atropa sure are a duo to write, huh.
#like. hmm they're far from dating for now.#but they're incredibly physically affectionate with each other#partly because that's how Hélianthe IS - if he had any friends that he could freely hug/touch he'd do that all the time#Atropa is like. the only person he can do that with at the moment#and even when he will be in more social situations where he can be friendly towards people it won't ever be situations where it's normal to#hug your bestie or something#like the one time they were in Monthaut's capital he was incredibly aware that he could NOT seem affectionate towards his friend at all#especially not physically#unless they were absolutely certain no one was watching#on her side Atropa is like fairly aware that this is just how Hélianthe is and she's nor particularly special re : physical affection#but she is also very aware that she has a crush on him and that if she keeps being around him all the time like that she WILL make it worse#for herself#and she shrugs and goes yeah sure whatever#so yeah they hug and also kiss a lot but they're not dating at all and won't even consider that as a real possibility for#a while#especially bc of#Hélianthe generally not. really getting this whole 'dating' thing.#and then because of him being married to Anne of course#so while he'll have TWO friends to bother#even when/if he realizes he is falling for his best friend he like#won't even THINK about actually getting romantically involved with her because that would bring#a HOST of problems neither of them want to deal with#man this situation is getting harder and harder to write huh#hélianthe et atropa
