(what is the inevitable for f1?)
imo it will continue to disregard and minimalise safety concerns and, like, Something Avoidable Will Happen. at which point a big portion of the audience they've pulled by constructing motorsport as dramatic reality tv immediately fucks off and the markets liberty has bet everything on massively dry up. you have a bunch of circuits which are of minimal sporting value or interest that were built to sell tickets at massively over-inflated prices (and that's where you're planning to expand), and you've actively pissed off your long-time fans by physically and digitally pricing them out, turning away from the sport itself, and repeatedly and very publicly fucking up the application of your own rules. like, f1 has done remarkably well to turn itself around in the last ten years in the way it has - I just don't know how far that's sustainable in motorsport, which is just... the opposite of something scriptable.
