#it's funny how non italian people (mostly americans) immediately assume that I give a fuck about how they cook their food#like#anytime someone goes “haha you're italian we cook *insert dish name* over here I bet it will give you a heart attack”#I'm like???? why should I even care ;-;#like it's not like I have to eat at your house bestie you could eat grass mixed with alfredo sauce for all I care ;-;#and like when they see I'm chill about it they keep going and then WONDER WHY I STOP ANSWERING#like sweetheart if you behave like a 4y/o I'm not here to play the babysitter role#and it happens almost all the time#not to mention the ones that try to impress by saying things like “I cook pasta from scratch every single day”#ok congrats bestie we're all going to the supermarket to buy it because we like to save time
