im glad hexela has such a visceral, negative reaction because Lemme Tell You, being the one to let her into my brainhole and sit in the drivers seat she TERRIFIES ME TO WRITE.
like i have fun with her character and all, but i always walk away from paragraphs with her a lil shaky bc shES THE WOOOOOOORST
she is by far, like, one of the absolute worst villains ive got lying around here. made worse by the fact that i try to find reason and sympathy within all my villains, but she just... resists that?? hexela is awful adn i want her to be dead
#not to say that hexela doesnt have reason for being the way she is#but her reason is more. convenience.#she’s allowed to operate this way on alternia so she does.#nothing ever happened to indicate that she couldn’t#a highblood subjugator in a matriarchical society who fits very easily into the role#who discovered she could get what she wanted through other people#and had carnival voodoos that gave her an unfiltered view into peoples emotions#i think part of the reason she's so horrible is she just. was ALLOWED to get this bad.#that nobody really stopped her or tried to get her to learn differently#i dont even think too many people in-universe know shes horrible???#like ooc Fuck Hexela but there's not a thing she says that isn't laced with some air of kindness#i dont think anyone even noticed that she was being awful. because why would they? shes so nice!#no need for intervention here.#its only the people she's crossed that know better and because of how she does it they might not even realize it#i think thats why shes the most insidious. she does a form of damage that absolutely destroys people and can never be traced back to her#that being said i do want to give her a solid history and backstory instead of ''HURRHEHAHHUHU THIS EVIL PERSON CAME OUT OF NOWHERRREEEEEE''#like there are probably things that happened in her life that contributed to what she is now. defining moments and yadda yadda#but she isnt really the type of villain to get too sympathetic a backstory.#probably sympathetic enough for her to seem real#but not sympathetic enough to.... /ever/ warrant her behavior#hh says things#oc talk#HI MY NAMES MEGAN AND I THINK TOO DEEPLY ABOUT MY OWN IMAGINARY FRIENDS.
