You can be mad or upset about Beyonce winning an award at the recent Grammys, without being antiblack. You can wish that someone other than Beyonce won without dismissing her credit, hard work, and dedication that she puts in (a lot of time this rhetoric is often rooted in misogynoir). Cowboy Carter doesn't have to be your favorite album for you to at least recognize the importance behind the message, which was to criticize how often American cowboy/country music culture often ignores the Black roots that created and helped establish the foundation for it (as well as how Beyonce created this album after being mistreated, something many tie to her appearance at the CMAs), without trying to be dismissive or frame it as "not even being that good", which can literally be proven otherwise with the amount of praise the album got. It's okay to be upset about your fave not winning an award, but you don't have to go out of your way to dismiss another artist's talent or say that they were less deserving.
