It always sucks when I'm watching a male reviewer go over something that centers on a woman that has themes of femininity and sexism but they just mention that aspect of it briefly and move on

#the stark difference of watching 5 million reviews of perfect blue done by guys and watching a single review done by a woman #like it's crazy. also yes gender doesnt necessarily mean youll be better at discussing this. its obvious that the reviewer did a lot of-#-work to communicate what they wanted to. but still. they touched on topics i didnt really see discussed indepth for this movie at least-#-when it comes to youtube reviews
