the "OC version" of my OtL story (the one where zan & sieg are dragons... the world is actually called Kavastra so i'll be calling it that from here on) is fun to think about bc there's so many little changes in the characters due to the entirely different world and lore.

For example, Ylva & Siegril are actually part of the same group of bounty hunters and have more of an actual friendship than in OtL.

While Ylva wants to be friendly to him OtL, she also really doesnt fw Siegril's first instinct being to threaten or suggest hurting people, and they have occasional arguments over it. Ylva's always mildly uncomfortable around Siegril despite outward appearances. Meanwhile Siegril actually thinks she considers him a good friend with no issue because of her outward appearance/positivity.

In "Kavastra", Ylva & Siegril are more open to calling themselves friends, and while Ylva still doesn't like the intensity of Siegril's "act first talk later" approach, they're in a field where they sometimes have to kill people so it's more expected.

Ylva in Kavastra is a farm girl down on her luck & trying to help her family. She eventually gets into the freelance scene with Wing, which leads into them getting involved in the bounty hunting group managed by Ethis and Adhara, which Siegril is a part of.
