this is just a thought, but sometimes i wonder if the like button just one day vanished from tumblr and reblogging was the only option, just how much interaction ppl’s content would actually get, you know? like how dependent are ppl on the like button actually? bc if it was gone and they were forced to reblog in order to keep it, would they, or would they still avoid those green arrows like the plague?

#rant.txt #ig?? but i'm not angry or anything haha #these are just musings tbh #like idgaf about ratios or anything anymore bc it's genuinely bad for me but i really am curious #like nowadays you see those support ccs posts all the itme so it's just normal for those who ignore reblogging to ignore those now too #they def don't have the same impact as they once did when ppl became more vocal about it initially imo #it's really honestly more important for me to just have a group of ppl i wanna share stuff with bc i know they'd reblog if they liked it #i just don't think it's healthy for me to focus so much on random ppl who don't care and ignore our calls for feedback anyway #now this is how I MYSELF feel so i'm not speaking for anyone at all #nor is this targeting anyone specific other than blank/ageless blogs who don't reblog and or try to make ppl feel guilty for asking for some #green arrows #like ppl forget tumblr accs are literal BLOGS not profiles or pages. you are EXPECTED to reblog things lmfao #edit: some good extra thoughts in the replies
