are you open to hearing some support/explanation with regard to the ending of A:TLA and Aang's decision not to kill Ozai? if not that's totally cool and you can return to your regularly scheduled blogging, there are just some angles and lenses most people don't seem to think to look at it through that i think are really important to that decision, contextually, IF you're interested in talking about it
I have seen a lot of compelling reasons for why Aang shouldn't have killed Ozai. Well reasoned, can agree.
I have seen zero compelling reasons for why Azula shouldn't have.
#i mean honestly zero percent of me was expecting it - if someone had ended up dead in a kid's show#i would've been shocked#so it's not like i thought that's how it was GOING to end#but i will always be annoyed when people are in the saving the world business and are like: i'm not gonna kill anybody#i get it last airbender/vegetarian/etc#also i have more sympathy because aang is nOT the one who decided to get into said business#so i can more easily excuse this one#i could totally excuse it if we didn't also have eight hundred thousand superheroes doing the same shit lol#so it's more the idea of 'i'm going to put myself in a situation where this is a reasonable recourse#and then act like it's a COMPLETELY UNREASONABLE thing to ever expect anyone to do' that i don't like#like i said aang gets leeway from me others don't because he didn't decide he's the avatar#(oh and also because he's TWELVE lol)#but i don't like that it adds another example of this to a stack that is TOO HIGH#avatar: the last airbender#!ask
