i get being worried but don't let people trick you the way they've tricked themselves. buddies (in general, people who like the ship, not inherently negative or anything) have had zero impact on whether or not a love interest stays. the reason love interests haven't stayed in the past is because the writers get bored, storylines move in different ways, characters need different things. a lot of the female love interests were developed properly bc of (1) misogyny (2) lack of interest/time to develop them. a bunch of teenagers on twitter are not influencing the writers that much, especially not with whether or not an actress stays.

if bucktommy doesn't last, it's because the writers chose to make a different decision, not because one 20 y/o tiktoker who's only been watching the show for 6 months decided she knows what's best for the show. like we are not the important audience for them lol, we don't actually have power over what happens.
