I'm gonna slap this under a readmore so this doesn't clog up folks' dashboards-
NOW as previously mentioned in other text posts I am very much of the opinion that the writers missed out on a brilliant opportunity to have the double murder subvert expectations and have two killers, one of whom gets away with it, so I love the idea that Kiyo was effectively gaslit into believing he did it - also the bandages thing makes perfect sense! Smh shuichi can't believe you missed that.
HOWEVER as much as I 100% believe that Tsumugi would frame not one but TWO blackened just to make sure her precious show gets good ratings, if she gets discovered in chap 3... who runs the rest of the game? Does someone from Team Danganronpa step in and begin interfering? The show must go on, yadda yadda, also - would Kaede's framing also get called out at this point? This whole thing would drastically change chapter 6, I'm almost inclined to say Keebo gets hijacked and becomes the de-facto "mastermind" (or at least the mastermind's avatar), and a lot of ch6 is dedicated to figuring out that he's not in control of himself and breaking him out of his conditioning.
Of course we then have to deal with the fact that we have a convicted murderer right there, in the group! And that will likely cause some tension. Then again, we had Genocide Jack in game 1, so the idea of the squad learning to live with a murderer isn't impossible.
Personally, the 'kiyo gets help' AUs I've seen thus far are, I think, a bit too generous with his recovery, and so what I'd like to see is if the others sit him down and talk to him about his trauma (maybe Himiko arranges some kind of exorcism ceremony because he believes it's a possession and sometimes you gotta play along with whatever works), he doesn't then become soft and sad but otherwise relatively normal - he just fixates on a new obsession. And yeah I'm gonna push my shinsai agenda here and say Shuichi was the one who got him off death row, Shuichi is the one trying to reintegrate him into the group despite his crime, Shuichi is his defender. So he dedicates his every waking moment to Shuichi, and yeah he's definitely creepy about it. He's got some shit to work through.
So whilst everything else is going on, Shuichi finds himself with this utterly devoted shadow who will do anything to help him in his investigations, and this probably causes a fair amount of friction between him and Maki especially - I think Kaito would be a bit weirded out, but he's not the kind of person to get angry at someone needing help unless they're being deliberately antagonistic (hi, Kokichi). Like the blog title says, being creepy isn't a crime.
So the rest of his character arc is him learning how to have 'normal' relationships and slowly redeeming himself via helping with the remaining cases.
And then chapter 6 hits, and boom. Sorry Kiyo, Sister was never real. You never had a true love. You were not a killer. Tenko died for nothing, because of your delusions. And, like, I don't think half a chapter is nearly enough time to unpack that, but I think having Shuichi there for him will be the only thread stopping him from falling completely off the deep end.
Whether or not you choose to commit to 'they're all fictional characters' versus 'tsumugi lied and there's still more truth to uncover' is up to you, I think there's potential either way. But that's how I would play it.
H i-
Just a question, have you finished the V3? Because i want to ramble about an AU idea i just had for Korekiyo involving ending/last trial spoilers and i think you would be a perfect person to do so
I have! Go ahead :3

Can you tell us a few pieces of info on Ray and Amelia?
Ray
Ray is one of the four main Auradon kids in my Descendants rewrite. She's lived a very nice life, with her dreams and ambitions always being supported by her loving parents. She's a literal ray of sunshine, almost always smiling, laughing, and enjoying her life. She inherited her father's michevious tendencies and mother's gifts for art and music, as well as her magical glowing hair. Not that Ray would know, because Rapunzel and Eugene never told her or taught her the encantation to use it.
Ray is an out lesbian and best friends with Hercules and Meg's son Myles (#lesbianandhimbosolidarity). She considers most people her friends and really exemplifies the Disney Princess values of kindness and friendship.
Amelia
Amelia is another one of the main AK's and the daughter of Alice Kingsley. She's a bit mad, judt like her mother, and its made her a bit of an outcast at Auradon Prep. She's a weirdo in the best of ways, always jumping from one idea to the next and keeping everyone around her on their toes. Most people think she doesn't realize that she's being ridiculed or made fun of but that isn't true. She knows she just doesn't know how to deal with it.
She is very interested by the VK's when they come to Auradon and after they see the way that the other "good guys" treat Amelia, they immediately take her under their wing. She becomes particularly close with Hans' daughter Helena because I am a sucker for opposites attract. Helena wants to understand Amelia better and Amelia just likes spending time with the weird girl that's so obsessed with her image.

Okay then! I don't think I could break you, then! Essentially, it's a DMC AU fic that isn't entirely canon compliant (because you know it's an AU). Basically, it's about everything that takes place in this AU I wrote where Vergil comes back with Dante from the underworld and everything just kind of goes from there.
The only main thing that's hugely different is that Nero and V are siblings in this AU because I know that was my original head cannon before the game came out, and a lot of people like that idea because of the way they play off of one another. I hope that doesn't completely turn you off, but if it does I understand. Believe me I've gotten enough hate mail over it lol! The books go in order of:
1. Soliloquy
2. Apocrypha
3. Hiraeth
And there is a side book that fills in little parts of Hiraeth's story called "Saudade." I'm planning another three stories at minimum in this AU because I want to do one that has a lot to do with Nico, I want to do one that's just about V, And I think there needs to probably be a final larger book in the saga to just wrap up loose ends and finally get some of the closure that everyone wants once the major problems are solved in the main story (which we just got to you lol A lot went on 😅) But both of those individual character stories would be much shorter ones that are no more than 10 to 15 chapters as opposed to the over a hundred and ten chapters of pure suffering that is the Soliloquy Saga 😂 sometimes you decide to do a fun project during the pandemic, and next thing you know, you look up and realize that you've written a series with a longer word count then the first Lord of the Rings novel SMH!
I hope you end up liking it if you check it out! Feel free to let me know if you have questions or anything like that! I worked super hard to try and make sure there were not any giant gaping plot holes, so if you see anything that confusing or that just doesn't make sense, let me know!
Also, sorry if this has any weird spelling errors. I'm using voice to text on my phone lol!
Here's a link to the series post! I also have a master list on my Tumblr under one of my most recent posts! I tagged the entire master list every time that I uploaded chapter (which is every Wednesday and Friday unless something comes up) And I just finished today's chapter a few hours ago so it'll be up between noon and 8:00 p.m. today in whatever time zone the middle of the US is in lol! Central Time? Whatever it is that 😂 Hope you're having a good day!
dante headcanon:
allowing himself to fall so heavily into debt is a self-sabotaging behaviour.
sure, more than half the time he can’t bring himself to wrangle money out of the poor souls who need his help, and the concept of money barely means anything to dante’s caveman brain — but racking up all that debt is a form of deliberate punishment upon himself (especially when he’s in one of his low moods).
dante could work it all off or set firmer boundaries with lady and trish about charging things to his account, but he doesn’t. sometimes he outright refuses payment, or won’t accept any jobs (unless they’re urgent), or totally blow an entire pay check on something totally useless.
it’s a side effect of decades of guilt piled up in the back of his mind. he’s content to sit in his office with no heat, gas, electricity or water because on some level, he thinks this is what he deserves — to live in a constant state of not having enough.
however, when his mood shifts again and he’s feeling kinda OK he’ll be more likely to get the bills paid. and when the power, water, and electricity are back on, he’ll appreciate these things more than the average person.
