One thing I find super interesting with yasashii watashi is the way that seiru says that everyone at the nationals level was on steroids with tennis and like, baseball is even more infamous for its doping scandals, but nobody ever even mentions it as like “something other teams used to do” in oofuri

omg you really made me think with this... i stood in one spot and zoned out and ran the whole manga thru my head like no wait they never actually mention steroids huh.... you would think maybe shigapo would've given one of his long-winded lectures over it or maybe even momoe's dad would've brought it up considering his experience... but no. huh that really is interesting. i wonder why? there have def been many opportunities. i literally have no answer to this besides wonder sorry

#sadhoc #seriu doesnt specify but i wonder if it was something the coaches pushed on him?#like how do u hide doping from ur coach esp when 'thats how it is for everyone' so like. were the coaches in on it...#if so thatd be purposeful mistreatment he endured from ppl he trusted. and would remind me of the way harunas coach mistreated him #in middle school and almost cost him his career. the way seriu's injury cost him his #harunas middle school coach->haruna. roka->kurata. and then todakitas coach and mihoshis coach were neglectful enough around #abe and mihashis respective situations that it messed them up p good in my opinion #maybe higuchi was like damn i have enough ocs ive traumatized thru their coaches & misc other ways let me not throw steroids into it too ig #now im over here like wait but theres still time for her to do an arc that brings that up....<- its been 20 years #im soooo curious abt this now #inbox
