continuing the borgias again because i found out (((spoilers))) that rodrigo doesn't just up and die at the end of s2 (which should have probably been obvious but whatever) and season 3 doesn't really grip me as much as the other two seasons did
#t#i mean i know why.........#it's because i don't really care for the cesare/lucrezia brosis affair plotline which has taken centre stage in terms of family drama#and ofc it's also a matter of bias. now that juan isn't there anymore#rodrigo and juan's scenes or moments that characterized the dynamic between them (like juan's failure with the sforza) were what ultimately#caught my attention. though im happy abt the brief moments in the early episodes of s3 where rodrigo was being haunted by juan's child self#like cesare/lucrezia *was* interesting to me but only as far as it went into furthering juan's inferiority complex and placing doubts into#his mind about his place in the family. and also setting him up to be all alone in the end with only his father still having faith and love#for him but oh well. as long as rodrigo is alive im gonna finish the series regardless
