I've found the major cultural difference in that "is it rude to talk on the phone on public transit?" post......... many tags saying yes say smth about "yeah it's rude it's supposed to be a quiet space" and my first reaction was so much bafflement bc you guys are getting quiet public transit??? the public transit in the us already sounds like the world's worst orchestra played at full blast. someone's phone conversation is the least distracting thing that's going to be going on. if you look to the left there's a naked man playing a harmonica and to the right there's a couple screaming about divorce papers. there's no boundaries or couth here and there's absolutely Not quiet
