frankly can't think of a more stupid or impossible development to happen in succession than for it to be outright established that "greg doesn't like/love tom nearly as much as tom loves him and will wind up just using him." subjective observations of character aside - you think they'd do that? you think that would make sense with the narrative? you think they've spent all this time building tom and greg to be the two characters in the whole show not nearly as ruthless as the rest because they did not have the same origins as the rest, whose emotional needs match, who have their wardrobes designed as a pair, who are factually metatextually partners far more than tom even is with his own wife... only to pull some dumbass fakeout just for the sake of tom to ultimately experience yet more tragedy? for his growth to mean nothing at all? for GREG'S gradual understanding of tom to mean nothing??? for greg to just actually "become a roy" like this is some shitty cw drama with supernatural elements and not a show set in as realistic of a universe at it gets with the core themes being the cycle of abuse and masculinity and love
