'prestige' is a bullshit and arbitrary signifier for tv shows and yet I (not a film critic, have a tenuous and hyperspecific grasp on media critique) have the delusion that I personally can determine prestige status

#and when you google them they're 90% dramas about troubled white men but they don't HAVE to be!#open your mind and your eyes critics!#and it doesn't have to preclude ANY genre #like I've never seen a single show with gay protags on a prestige show list but I fully endose amc's iwtv as one #yj is well made enough to be one but like I said the second season the wheels fell off and it became a much more poorly written show #maybe oitbc or htgawm would qualify but I haven't seen anyone list them #also they're ALWAYS american or uk productions. squid game should have been considered one too #also considering a show 'prestige' based on the network is complete nonsense. any network is capable of churning out trash #idk why im so invested since it literally does not matter tho #cor.txt
