Season 8 is the first and only season of Game of Thrones that I’ve watched as it came out. It’s been a little odd, not necessarily bad, but odd, to be caught up in the hype; I’ve always felt a little bit like a “fake fan” for GoT, because I don’t LOVE the show like I do Marvel or RWBY or my other fandoms. I’ve mainly been invested for the artistry (and the costumes most of all), and enough that I do at least care how things turn out with certain characters.

But GoT opened my imagination to a whole world of costume design and embroidery that I am so grateful for. I had literally never done anything like this before I dove headfirst into Daenerys, and as steep of a learning curve as it was, I loved it, and the support of such incredible artists as Michele Clapton and Michele Carragher has been really inspiring. Now I want to embroider EVERYTHING. 👀
