Something I thought about since you got some Billy asks: they also don’t have their own theme song. In terms of Avatars being, well, treated well or fairly by Intsys, though I am utterly indifferent towards the subject, we’ve seen that Robin has Id and all its variations and how it’s about Robin’s choices to believe in their bonds with the Shepherds; Fates’ Gray Waves is Azura singing to Corrin about the shape their fate takes if they choose either side to fight for, or another route entirely and how it means finding the truth about Valla; Emblem, Engage! is a feel-good shonen anime opening style song about Alear and their allies and the Emblems and how they fight for good. Billy…well, what does Byleth get? They get Edelgard’s theme song, actually, where she admits to lying to Byleth/the player and she’s just so sad and torn up about it—not that she’ll actually change her mind, but that she’s just so sad. Hopes doubled down on making the game all about Edelgard and treating Byleth as a cardboard stand-in for the player until it was time to cast them aside for Shez/Edelgard’s newest merc toy friend by having the Song of Nabateans remixed for the scene where Rhea is unceremoniously killed off by Clout, whereas Byleth finally gets a song, but it’s conspicuously mashed together with Edge of Dawn and has been received by fans as a scary, demonic theme meant to show how the Ashen Demon (which is a title they hate) is viewed by others. Truth in game design!
:(
I'd say Fodlan Winds would be Billy's theme, but it's so generic...
It's kind of fun how Edge of Yawn is remixed to be Billy's ominous theme though, but yeah, I'm personally not fond, but not at all of the Nopes soundtracks, Rhea dies to a remix of FoF but FoF was, imo, that good of a piece because it was a tragic song meant to convey all kinds of feelings the character have in SS's finale, to warp in a "yay for the future!" song when Clout kills her defeats, imo, the purpose of that theme!
I think that's the core issue with Billy's character, at least in FE16 - they are a character, or a self insert, are they Sothis, or someone else, or just a prop to their Lord of choice?
