okay, here's the thing about Clara. what really bugs me about the way people try to solve her mystery... some people thing she's Rose, or River, and Rose and TenToo's daughter, or Jack's daughter, whatever. but that's her IDENTITY. it doesn't EXPLAIN anything - it actually makes things much more complicated, and often doesn't even make sense when compared to facts. the entire mystery about her is why she keeps/kept dying, why she keeps coming back, why does she keep saying "run you clever boy and remember" before dying - THAT is her mystery. not her identity.  personally i want Clara to be something entirely new. in my opinion, there's a limit to how many references to the past of the Doctor you can make. the show needs to keep growing and have new material to play with. Clara being something or someone or related to someone we already know won't get the show anywhere.  i just want Clara to be her own character. to stand for herself. making her something familiar will harm that. and i don't want that.
