Howard has awakened the social darwinist in me. He didn't really die because of any reason he deserved it. But he was pitiable and weak, and that alone made him acceptable as prey in my eyes.

Normally, I'd never call myself a social darwinist; I think society has a duty to take care of the people who can't take care of themselves. But see how quickly I change my tune when the victim is a mid-powered affluent white male who himself has used "it's just business" to justify being a douchebag, and who - by his own admission - can't read any of the clear warning signs in front of him.
