there's a german show called 'Türkisch für Anfänger' and there's a scene with a girl and a boy which are interested in each other and they have a moment where he keeps looking at her and she says 'Hör auf mich so anzugucken!' - 'Stop looking at me like that!' Which he replies 'Ich kann aber nicht anders...' - 'I can't help myself...'
and this scene reminded me so much of the HillEaster moment in the novel (which yes I'm currently reading)
