I was talking to my brother about how, at least in other shōnen we watched, the main f/m couples were still endearing in a way (even tho drenched in misogyny especially the ones that are much older), but then I look at Naruto and I go "what in the fucking comphet shit is going on here"
#the canon couples get literally not even an ounce of development they just happen in a very badly written#people complain about gochi and yet they're much more romantic and better written even tho they had an arranged marriage#and goku knew absolutely nothing about it and went yeah sure same with shin/ran oh you think shin/ran is comphet and badly written#let me show you some real comphet and bad romance writing at least with shin/ran there's something#naruto posting
