THREE NEW SHARK SPECIES THIS WEEK!

The second week of July 2023 something extraordinarily beautiful happened, the findings of 3 new species of sharks for were announced

A new angel sharks species was identified, from the western Indian Ocean on the Mascarene Plateau and off southwestern India in 100–500 m depths, the Lea’s angel shark Squatina leae, was recognized to be different genetically and morphologically distinct from its congeneric species Squatina africanae, following unique morphological features.  This species was first detected in 1988 after finding  three unusual, small sharks, but till today was completely understood. The angel shark is named after one of the author’s fiancee’s late sister, Lea-Marie Cordt.

Angel sharks are “flatter sharks”, possesing distinctly broad, dorsoventrally flattened bodies, a short snout with large mouth and nostrils, eyes on top of the head close to the large spiracles, very large pectoral fins, and a lateral caudal keel. They've evolved to be ambush predators, they lie in wait for prey to pass closely overhead before attacking.

From North Australia, another species of hornshark is described based on six whole specimens and a single egg case. The painted hornshark Heterodontus marshallae was previously considered to be the same with the zebra bullhead shark another well know bullhead shark from the central Indo-Pacific from Japan  to Australia, but genetic and morphological analyses indicated the sharks were different, but looking alike. The painted hornshark is endemic to northwestern Australia and occurs in deeper waters, at 125–229 m below surface.

The painted hornsharks is named in honour of Dr. Lindsay Marshall www.stickfigurefish.com.au a scientific illustrator and elasmobranch scientist who expertly painted all the sharks and rays of the world for the Chondrichthyan Tree of Life Project.

And from an unidentified shark egg collected from the deep waters of northwestern Australia, in 2011 recently helped researchers identify a new species of deep water cat shark. Called ridged-egg catshark Apristurus ovicorrugatus after its eggs, it was collected in the earlys 90 but remained unknown to date. This sharks presents white eyes, and is small in size, reaching less than a half meter in length. .

Egg cases belonging to this species had been documented as early as the 1980s, but could not be matched to any species of Australian shark until recently scientists examined a shark specimen of previously uncertain identity in the CSIRO collection.

Chris Pine hopes he just found Luca Guadagnino‘s next project: Disney’s “Princess Diaries 3.”

The actor and “Poolman” director proposed collaborating with the “Challengers” director for the third franchise installment during Entertainment Weekly’s Role Call Youtube series.

“‘Princess Diaries 3,’ where is it?’ Have you been reading my diary?” Pine quipped when revisiting his past roles. “I don’t know. I haven’t heard anything about it.”

However, Pine did have his own pitch for the film.

“You know, like, what it would be? It would be like a Luca Guadagnino film,” Pine said. “[If he] directs ‘Princess Diaries 3,’ now that is fucking fire.”

Of course, “Princess Diaries 3” would have to come after Guadagnino’s “Separate Rooms” with Lea Séydoux and Josh O’Connor. Guadagnino is also debuting “Queer” at Cannes 2024.

Pine hasn’t been publicly linked to the next “Princess Diaries” film, but his role in the 2004 sequel proved to be a turning point in his career. Pine recently said during NBC News’ “Sunday Today with Willie Geist” that his $65,000 salary was “absolutely earth-shattering” and made him feel like he actually “started working” in Hollywood after auditioning for years.

“I got that $65,000 and I just remember distinctly knowing in that moment that my life had changed somehow, even though $60,000 at the end of the day turned out to be about $15,000,” Pine said. “That [money] lasted no time at all.”

“Princess Diaries” lead star Anne Hathaway confirmed the long-awaited third film is in “a good place” with development. “That’s all I can say,” Hathaway told V magazine. “There’s nothing to announce yet. But we’re in a good place.”

The script is being penned by Aadrita Mukerji (“Supergirl”), with original “Princess Diaries” veteran Debra Martin Chase set to produce and “The Other Woman” screenwriter Melissa Stack executive producing. No casting details have been made public, and nor has the plot been revealed.

Will Guadagnino take Pine’s advice to direct after the passing of original filmmaker Garry Marshall? Only time will tell…

At least if Guadagnino did, the “Princess Diaries” team would know that they would only have to do one or two takes per scene.

Lets talk about Hope Mikaelson

Hope Andrea Mikealson. The miracle child. The one and only Tribrid. Lets just say that I love Hope Mikealson a lot. She is one of my favorite characters.

For all you guys who don't know who Hope Mikaelson is. Here's a quick summary of her. Hope is a character form the TVDU. She was born on May 2, 2012. To werewolf Haley Marshall and original hybrid Klaus Mikaelson or

(I know you can hear this photo if you have watched the show as many times as I have. ) Hope family is basically the whole reason for the TVD. Her grandmother Esther Mikaelson. Created vampires. Doing a spell to turn her children into the Original vampires.

Her father is also the earths first hybrid. (werewolf and vampries) His wolf side is why Hope is in alive. The miracle baby. Hopes mom. Haley Marshall passed on her werewolf side to her daughter. Both being a part of the crescent wolf pack. The bloodline of the first ever werewolf.

So her family being a long line of witches, dad vampire side and mothers werewolf side. Made Hope a tribrid. The only one of her kind. Which is why she had people after her. Even before her brith.

She had a hard begging. Hope was ripped from her mothers arms at her brith and almost killed. This was just the begging of her trauma.

But now that you know a little about Hope. Let me talk about why I love her

Hope is so Selfless

Hope said it herself "My name is Hope Mikaelson. I come from a long line of villains."

Her father is known as 'the great evil' He was feared and had so much darkness inside of him. Klaus put his siblings to sleep by putting daggers in them. Making them miss years or not even decades. Klaus also gave Elena Gilbert a lot a trauma, killing her aunt is one of them.

Hope could have inherited this angry. But she didn't. Hope put herself on the line constantly. Even becoming a full Tribrid to save the world from Malivore.

Hope would do anything and everything to save the people she loves. Sure she does make mistakes. Like hope turning Lizzie Salesman into a vampire is one. But she had her humanity off and regretted it.

Overall Hope is always the hero.

What Hope did for her family

"this was our hope our family's hope" This was said by Elijah Mikaelson. He told this to Klaus after he thought they lost hope, that later became name. She was her families Hope.

The Mikaelson's protected Hope with everything. It is pretty clear they loved her. All of them.

Rebekah took Hope away from danger when it was too dangerous for her to stay in New Orleans. Raised her or seven months. Later on Rebekah took on part of the Hallows soul to protect Hope. Hope made her feel human.

Hope to Elijah was everything. He once said "I would violate everything sacred under the sun in the name of recusing my niece." Elijah even gave Hope her name. Thinking it was his job to keep her safe. He did that even dying for her.

Kol and Hopes relationship is rarely seen in the shows. But I can tell Kol is like the fun uncle. Having taking a piece of the Hallows soul in him to save Hope. He seemed to me to be the only one to keep in contact with Hope, understanding her upset of not having her family together.

Freya is like Hopes second mother. Being there for almost Hopes entire life. Freya taught Hope spells and magic. Hope to Freya is like her daughter. Hope trusted her enough to let Freya stop her heart.

Marcel might not be a Mikaelson by blood. But he is a Mikaelson. Hope and him are brother and sister. Marcel never harmed Hope and kept her safe. Loved their bond.

What Hope did for Klaus

It safe to say the Klaus loved Hope more than anything. His littlest wolf. Hope changed Klaus for the better. There wasn't anything that Klaus would haven't done for his daughter. He in the end died to protect Hope.

Before Hope Klaus was well a monster. But Hope brought out a softer side of Hope, with her Klaus experienced Unconditionally Love.

"My dearest Hope. My littlest wolf. My miracle child. What a gift to be able to leave you one last message. So please carry it with you in the years to come. I want you to know this. You will make mistakes in your life. That comes with being a Mikaelson. You will go through hard times. For no one with your power always knows how to use it properly. Doesn't hold back from pointing out the corruption in institutional law enforcement. Gives new meaning to "throw the book at 'em."

Sandy's Thai roommate needs her own Justified mini show. I'm convinced that Hina a crime lord's daughter or a marshall in the making. She made Albanian mobsters and their tooth extractors look like boy scouts and the only unbelievable premise of this sequel is that if Sandy wanted out of her toxic relationship with the Oklahoma madman, all she needed to do was stick Clement in a room with Hina. Fast forward to episode 8, conflict resolved.

Clement has some really chaotic Boyd Crowder vibes, second only to Boyd himself, and I can picture some of the lines that he has in this series as things that were on the cutting room floor from Justified. "Hun, do you what cut this is? (The Southern comfort steak). Ding ding ding, ready for double jeopardy. Now I ordered the steak black and blue. Do you know what black and blue means? (Rare) Oh no, ma'am. It does not mean rare, it means god**** bloody red. So here's what I want you to do, I want you to take this and throw it in the trash. Then I want you to get your chef have another steak, smack that over the fire, sing two verses of "Dead Leaves on the Dirty Ground," flip that sucker, sing the third verse, yank it off, plate it ... And if I don't hear it moo in pain then we're just going to start this all over again." I half expected him to start singing you'll never leave Harlan alive. #I'm a vegetarian, but if I wasn't before I would be now.

Willa's best line and her whole raison d'etre is giving Raylan a second chance at walking away and setting up her dad for love and a semi-normal life: "he's pretty nice for a white guy." From her first giggle at cat videos that led to contempt, she's pretty much his matchmaker and he's just handcuffed in the trunk for the ride along. "I'm not about to take care of you when you're old."

"What is a Garlick?!" The smatterings of comedic timing slaps.

"Raylan: I ain't gonna sleep at night this SOB wins. / Raymond: Look at you, still giving a ****...[Freddy Keck] I shot him. / He drew on you. / I don't know. / You don't know? / I think it was a church key./ He had a bottle opener. / I clean my fingers [with it] and I slept just like a baby." Ray and Raylan, while painfully on the nose as a metaphor, is stone cold accurate. What a screaming angriest-man-I-know look in the mirror — full circle from my Justified s1e1, complete with pissed off ex-wife the likes of which Winona would drink to. #"Mary Alice only speaks to me on pain of death."

Downsides:

The only thing missing from this series is Marshal Gutterson and Rachel Brooks, and Loretta McCready. Non-spoiler-spoilers ahead for those who haven't finished City Primeval: I'll let you speculate as to who's not missing...

The ending that leaves you wanting more! Willa: "I'd like too see where you're from." Take my money and give me a sequel to the sequel. Lord knows by that cliffhanger you're thinking about it.
