About Larry O’Bryan
Lawrence J. O'Bryan is currently the owner and CEO of TPC-KY, Inc., a label manufacturer in Louisville, KY. TPC-KY is the primary label supplier to GE Appliances in North America and a key partner with Black & Decker, Thornton's and several other regional and national accounts. Lawrence J. O'Bryan also founded Pro-Active Media and was also the most successful political media consultant and strategist in Louisville, KY. In 2010, Larry led the successful Democratic effort to defeat four-term Republican incumbent state senator Elizabeth Tori representing Hardin and Jefferson counties. Larry O'Bryan's campaign strategy blending broadcast TV, cable, direct mail and phones into a seamless, concise and compelling message was praised by political observers as the driving force behind the Democrats' stunning upset. While Lawrence J. O'Bryan was receiving accolades for his work in defeating the first incumbent Republican state senator in 20 years, he was also protecting and winning Democratic-held seats in Jefferson County, including leading the successful reelection efforts for the Jefferson County Sheriff and County Attorney. O'Bryan's list of 2010 victories also includes three judgeships in Jefferson County at both the District and Circuit court levels. In 2012 Larry O'Bryan provided the winning media for Court of Appeals Judge Irv Maze and Circuit Judge Angela Bisig. Larry O'Bryan also produced the hard hitting and aggressive television spots against Chris Theineman, which helped secure Sen. Perry Clark's election against his much better funded opponent. As the first political media consultant to produce and air political ads in hi-definition, Lawrence J. O'Bryan remains on the leading edge of campaign technology. Larry O'Bryan began his career working in the 1980 Kentucky General Assembly during Gov. John Y. Brown's administration and for the Kentucky Democratic Party in 1982. Larry O'Bryan graduated from Western Kentucky University in 1981 with a Double Major in Government and Journalism.
