honestly most people are barely conscious animals. back when air filters and masks were mandaory at my job and school barely anyone got sick. ofc as soon as it stopped being mandatory they got rid of it all, also most colleauges and classmates refuse to air the rooms bc "it's just too cold!!!" (why are you wearing croptops or summer dresses when it's 0°C.....) and then everyone is like "why is everyone sick all the time, why am I sick at least once a month, what do you mean you're calling in sick?? we're understaffed, everyone else is sick too!" yea wonder fucking why idiot

#this shit is pissing me off so much and genuinely turning me misanthropic #nothing will make you lose faith in humanity like a care/education job #the lack of basic common sense is shocking #I wasn't sick once not even a mild cold when all this shit as mandatory it was heaven #but people will choose bronchitis flu pneumonia myokarditis and covid over being slightly inconvenienced #last year two of my colleauges got hospitalized bc of their 'benign' but way too frequent respiratory infections #guess that's better than masking 👍
