“Peter, come on! We have to ride the ferris wheel, wait- oh my god! no! let’s ride the roller coaster- wait, I want ice cream!”

Peter handed the ice-cream man the money, giving you your ice cream cone and grabbing one for himself. It was definitely a good call for Peter to ask Mr. Stark for DisneyLand tickets for his birthday as Tony had splurged- giving you and Peter the best his money could buy so that the young couple could enjoy the day.

You were in the middle of licking your ice cream when- “Peter, is that Rapunzel?!” Peter’s eyes went to the blonde-haired princess you were pointing at.

“Peter- Peter. It’s Rapunzel and Flynn! Take a picture! Take a picture!” Peter smiled adoringly as you dorked out. You smiled, ear to ear, eyes sparkling as your excitement was visible, your ice cream tilted towards them at a dangerous angle.

Peter let go of you hand, lifted up his camera, aiming it at Rapunzel and Flynn.. Only to change it at the last minute and capture you giddy smile.

“Pete!” You laughed, realizing too late of your boyfriend’s sneaky tactics.

“I couldn’t help it Em, you just looked so happy,” He shrugged, wrapping his arms around you. You leaned your head against his shoulder in response, still content with your ice cream. Rapunzel and Flynn completely forgotten.

“That’s because I am, Peter. I really am.”

He had greeted you with a bouquet of haphazardly put together flowers in hand, a smile on his face and a twinkle in his eyes. Peter Parker had finally worked up the courage to ask you out (with the help of Ned) and he was willing to do anything in his power to make it worth your night.

And you knew it. You knew it when he had shown up at your door, panting, like he ran there. You knew it when he put on One Direction on his phone for you to both listen to on the subway. You knew it when he shyly asked you if you would be okay with him holding your hand. You knew it every time “Isabel” came out of his mouth, unsure, like he still couldn’t believe you were there with him.

Peter, on the other hand, knew a different thing. He knew that he was dangerously starting to develop feelings for you. He knew it when he would watch you roast your friends on and offline. He knew it when you treated Ned and him with kindness. He knew it every time he’d watch you bop your head to music, also knowing that it was either One Direction or a musical soundtrack.

That night under the bright lights of the pizza place, as you both talked about school, his stark internship, and whatever came to mind, you’d both eat pizza smiling from ear to ear and knowing a new thing.

“Hey Peter.”

“Uh- yeah, Isabel?”

“Let’s do this again.”

This was the start of something new; And you both knew it.

Oh, how you loved road trips.

And oh, how you loved Peter Parker. Two of your favourite things combined? You were in heaven. With the wind whipping past your hair, the beautiful scenery you’d encounter and the calm quiet of the empty highways. You were enjoying yours and Peter’s little road trip until-

“Peter, come on! At least let me come out to help you!” You shouted to Peter, who was determined to get the car moving again. You couldn’t help but smile. There was no way he was going to be able to push it himself.

“Lena, it’s fine i’ve got this! It won’t be that hard!” Little did you know, it wouldn’t. With Peter’s spidey skills, he could easily push the car the entire way if he wanted. But, you didn’t know about his alter ego and he was keeping it that way.

“Stop being so stubborn Pete,” You were already stepping out of the car.

“No- No, it’s fine!-” Peter cut himself off as you stood in front of him. Hands on hips, eyebrow lifted and a playful smile on your face. It was times like these that made him hesitant to go on a road trip with you in the first place. After all, you were his distraction. But in the best way possible.

“Are you going to help me push or not?” You teased, breaking him from his day dream, only for him to engulf you in a tight hug.

Automatically relaxing in his hold. You were caught by surprise, but not entirely. Peter would ambush you with surprise hugs all the time, and it’s not like you were complaining.

“Never change, Carolena,”

“Would never dream of it, Peter.”

Oh, how you loved road trips.

lara’s 2k bash moodboard 4? ↬ peter and sarah’s broadway date

“Sarah! Wear something nice!” Peter had shouted as he parted ways from you that day after school. Peter had been going on and on about this date he planned for you for weeks now.

You couldn’t deny the fact that this had made you incredibly curious but no matter how much you had tried to get it out of him, he had kept his mouth shut. It was just your luck that he was good at keeping this secret when it was by accident that you had learned of his secret identity.

He had told you that he would pick you up at your house. Of course, you had expected him to be, in usual Peter fashion, late. He wasn’t. He stood there, on your front porch in a suit and you couldn’t help the smile that erupted on your face.

Peter opened the door to the cab, letting you slide in. A dumb smile still plastered on your face

“Any chance you’ll tell me now?” “Nope,”

You watched through the windows, the city alive with light as you drove further and further away from home.

With every second that grew on, you were getting your hopes up higher and higher and higher. You gripped Peter’s (sweaty) hand in yours and squeezed it.

And then you saw it. You were nearing a theater. Suddenly the puzzles clicked in your head. Peter was taking you to see Broadway.

As you came to your revelation, the taxi stopped and Peter gave the driver the money. Peter hopped out and quickly moved to your side to open your door for you.

“M'lady Sarah,” He said, extending his hand out for you to take. You looped your arm with his and hugged her arm to you, but without a, “You’re a dork, Parker,“ in reply.

“You took me to a Broadway show?” You smiled. You genuinely smiled.

“I- I just thought you’d appreciate it because you want to be an actor an’ all… besides, you never shut up about wanting to go,” He blushed, turning towards the theater, only to stop dead in his tracks.

“Why are people only wearing jeans and slacks?” Peter looked down at what he was wearing, turned to the outfit a man not far away was wearing, and his eyes widened.

“Was a suit overkill?” He grimaced, worried that he had ruined your night for some reason with his inexperience.

That’s when you turned to him, your dumb smile seeming permanent on your face now, “You could never ruin anything Peter Parker. Even if you tried,” You said, loosening and straightening the tie around his neck.

With that affirmation, Peter relaxed in your hold. He watched as you kept working on his tie, focusing on the freckles around your nose. He loved to count them, before he’d eventually lose count. But if he loved your freckles; Your smile was another thing. Since the night began, you’d had a smile on your face, and he swore that from that moment on, he would do whatever it took to keep that smile on your face.

“Peter! Come on! It’s starting!” Peter snapped out of his daydream, as you dragged him to the entrance and showed the man your tickets before you both entered the theater.

That night, you hadn’t kept your eyes off the stage, entranced by the show and eager to watch, but Peter, on the other hand, couldn’t keep his eyes of you.

The girl who stole his heart, and wasn’t returning it any time soon.
