first thing I did to plan my visit to He Sapa (the Black Hills) & Mako Sica (the Badlands) was read up on the Lakota's relationship to He Sapa & Lakota star knowledge / stellar theology. second thing was find the specific hiking trails I'd like to visit. third thing was finding field guides for the flora & fauna. and now is the time I'm like aright. I need a tent. and stove. and to learn how to camp.

#lakota star knowledge has been an interest of mine but previously i'd only read short guides & attended a lecture w/ a lakota elder #and thru that learned how he sapa is connected to their star knowledge #the book i read/using as guide is much more extensive. really really good #& i knew he sapa was sacred. but did not grasp the extent of connection to lakota ppl #and w/o that could not grasp the magnitude of the crime that is the usa govs illegal treaty breaking occupation #like the horror of it . is . almost incomprehensible.
