CLAPS MY HANDS TOGETHER. SO.  Let's start general, and work inwards.  Apperance-wise, Laika can find beauty everywhere.  That is, she can find anyone attractive, given the right context.  She's not necessarily looking for one physical appearance over the other.

As for personality, there are a few things Laika finds really enticing ( and that she is looking for )

- Strong sense of ethics / justice.      - They don't necessarily have to devote themselves to a cause, the way Laika does, but she needs to know that significant other is on the same page as her, vis a vis people's rights and happiness.        - Though, that said, the devotion is a plus.  And insanely attractive.

- Passion in a topic or field of study ( and willing to listen to her own )      - Laika loves to learn, and loves to hear people talk.  She'll want to know as much about her partner's interests as they ( should ) want to know about hers. All the better if the partner is a little eccentric about it       - Please please please let her lay her head on her s.o's lap and listen to them talk.  Or let her read them formulas until they pass out. -  That said, if you get with the chemist, you will sometimes have to deal with things that are labeled "science only."  This cannot be a negative to you.

- Kindness / generosity      - Similar to strong sense of ethics, but Laika doesn't want to be with someone who sees the world as transactional.  Her partner should be, if not willing to actively help people, at least not objecting to her doing the same.      - I think this goes under here as well.  Laika won't want to be with someone who holds her poor health against her.  She does it enough on her own, and she knows that's irrational. 

- Flexibility as to what ' settled ' life entails - Willing to see where the world takes them together, and understanding that no matter how far they may separate, they'll always return. - more under the cut about this one

     - This flexibility is more for very long term relationships ( ie. marriage or life partners )  Her partner needs to understand: Laika won't allow herself to stop working for a better future for Tevinter.  She may settle down and have a ' civilian ' life, especially once Mae or Dorian take over as Archon, but she's got the infection of heroism. - This doesn't mean they have to abide her self-sacrificing, overworking nonsense!       - Post-Veilguard, Laika often visits Clan Banereast ( who roam Arlathan, ) the Lighthouse, and has permanent residence in Minrathous.  She's more than willing to come to some kind of arrangement with her partner as to where they're living, but...  long distance is likely.        - Also Post-Veilguard, her partner needs to be able to at least deal with her weird, blended family stuff ( i.e. visiting Clan Banereast, her adoptive father being a very important part of her life. )  She's not used to it yet either, if that helps. - Likewise, Laika can be flexible and adapt to what her partner wants in a settled life. She's never really considered things like marriage or having a family before, but it's absolutely a discussion to be had!
