I can't find who asked me about how to get hold of the L'Histoire des Bianchi book, but good news for whoever it was - it looks like the Jules Bianchi store has restocked on it (and several other items - the items that allow themselves to be added to the basket). L'Histoire des Bianchi is only available in French, but if you've any interest in the subject, it's worth working through it slowly with a dictionary in hand for all the detail in there. The Jules Bianchi store is a fundraising shop for L'Association Jules Bianchi, which aims to improve healthcare for people in the specialist neurology units in which Jules stayed. I had worried when, early this year, I'd tried and failed to order anything, so seeing it now works and is updated (with several news items and a shiny new partner in Richard Mille to boot!) makes me very happy. (In related news, the 2024 running of the Jules Bianchi Karting Marathon's been announced. It is September 6-8 at Paul Ricard, and is accepting competitors (teams of at least 5 karters, to do the 42 hours, 19 minutes and 50 seconds race*). I believe there is capacity for spectators at the event although I am not clear on the arrangements. Charles Leclerc has already announced he will find time to attend in between the Italian and Azerbaijan Grands Prix, most likely to defend his team's win last year). * - No idea why it's that long a race, though this does mean that even if you bring the maximum number of people onto the team (which was 20 last year - note the entry fee is per kart), everyone will get a decent go. I would not recommend putting in a team of only 5 karters unless you happen to all be professional athletes or experienced long-stint karters.
