[LFRP] Kyt’ir Gahre
Now that I’m back, time for a new LFRP post.~
The Basics:
Race and Clan: Miqo’te, Keeper of the Moon
Birthplace: Black Shroud
Gender: Male
Age: 26
Occupation: Alchemist / Red Mage
Martial Status: Single
Sexuality: Bisexual
Alignment: Chaotic-Neutral
Appearance:
Tumblr media
Hair: Naturally ash-grey/white, but normally dyed brown / dirty-blonde. Nowadays he tends to leave it to its own devices, resulting in a fluffy mess.
Eyes: Violet, piercing and expressive.
Height: He’s short. No, he’s not going to give you an exact number.
Build: Slim yet fit - athletic, leaning towards a runner’s build.
Distinguishing Marks: Face paint, scar across nose. Heavily scarred hand.
Voice: Soft-spoken, crystal clear and placid at most times. Very expressive and animated when provoked, one way or another.
Common Apparel: High-quality outfits, typically replications of Skallic or Allagan fashion. Nothing cheap.
Background:
Kyt’ir Gahre (born Kyt’ir Jakkya, also know as ”Kite”) is, simply put, a talented mage just looking for trouble. A run-away in his youth, the Keeper has clawed his way from nothing using his brains and knack for treasure hunting. Originally trained as a savvy thaumaturge, with the fall of Baelsar’s Wall the Keeper has gathered and horded knowledge related to Red Magic, teaching himself the art through trial and error. Now a skilled practitioner of the art, he’s looking to broaden his horizons and learn more of magic in Eorzea, with the ultimate goal of forging something new.
Having won a winner's purse in the Grindstone, Kite has invested it wisely (to the surprise of many). That investment helped him start up his own alchemical business, and he now offers his services to those in need of a dedicated alchemist.
Motivations:
The Finer Things: Kite has grown used to a life of relative luxury, and is always pursuing more of it. In short if it looks fancy, if it is quality, he’ll be interested and likely pursue it. This especially applies to alcohol and clothing, but also jewelry and to a lesser extent furnishings.
Knowledge Seeker: Kite values knowledge above all else. He is willing to look past slights and cooperate with people he would otherwise despise if they have knowledge to offer him, and little patience for those who do not (unless they can pay him for his services). He wants to learn everything there is to learn about the aetherial arts, and above all else shows favor towards like-minded individuals.
Showman: Kite isn’t merely satisfied with making the strongest explosion, or the brightest lightning bolt. To him the spectacle of magic and the creative application of the aetherial art (emphasis on art) is what truly sets apart an elite mage from a merely good one.
Potential Hooks:
Alchemy & Alcohol: On his own, Kite has taken to peddling his alchemic wares - some legal, some not - to make ends meet and allow him to maintain his comfortable lifestyle. Need an order filled? No questions asked, he’ll happily assist. His love for drink has also become a productive one, sneaking in some brewing on the side (as a hobby).
Crime: Kite is trying to break free of his recent lifestyle, which involved either being an accomplice to or directly involved with a wide range of crimes. That said, people still hold grudges, and he still needs protection, and owes favors that might end up pulling him back in.
Hoarder: Part of the reason he was able to teach himself the art of Red Magic was due to ‘procuring’ tomes and other historical documents, often through underhanded means. He’s more than a bit greedy and possessive about such artifacts, to the point of it being a fault. Perhaps you don’t agree with him keeping this knowledge for himself, or you have something he wants.
Occult: In his quest for knowledge, Kyt has stumbled across more than a few occult items and movements, and studied them in passing. While his knowledge is rudimentary compared to other fields, such things still catch his interest and are one of the few things that can inspire his almost moribund sense of altruism.
Rivalry: Kite is normally a fairly restrained and modest individual until magic is involved. He doesn’t just consider himself to be merely good, he considers himself to be one of if not the best practitioner of magics around. Arguably his confidence is well-earned, but it’s only natural that he butts heads with other mages.

Staying Sharp 09/12
Kyt'ir Gahre had kept a rather low profile, cozying up in his little lab after receiving the order from Lebeaux. It didn't take him long to devise a potion that would work for the Elezen's needs, but it did take him a night to regain his own speech after one too many drops of dartfrog venom. Once he had his voice back, there he was stepping into the by now familiar estate, albeit with a much  smaller bag fastened to his belt. "Delivery for one sharp-tongued Elezen." He quipped almost immediately.
Lebeaux Desrosiers was inspecting another delivery, a bouquet of fresh-cut flowers all of the purest white. He was inspecting a lily for any discolorations or spots of browning when the door was opened and a familiar voice called out jokingly to him. The elezen turned, smiling sweetly at the miqo’te though his eyes remained chilly as ever. “Oh, Kyt’ir. Hasn’t anyone told you the best way to dull a bladed tongue is to busy the mouth otherwise.” He teased in return. “Pastries work as well, in a pinch.” Lebeaux gathered up the flowers and walked over to tuck one of the ‘reject’ lilies into the miqo’te’s hair just above his ear. “To my office, then you can show me what you’ve done.”
Kyt'ir Gahre blinked as the flower was tucked into his hair, the Keeper looking upwards at it. "Please. I hope brandy will suffice." He mumbled, before following along quietly, leaving the lily undisturbed amidst his hair.
“Ohh? You’ve brought brandy as well. How thoughtful. Next time include pastries, as mentioned.” He suggested with a snicker, wondering how long it would take before the miqo’te was serving as his personal delivery boy for all of his snacks and treats. “I’m going to put these in water, you can tell me about your process and final result as I do so.” He explained, carrying the flowers over to a nearby vase to get them properly arranged.
Kyt'ir smiled warmly. "One or the other, unless you pay me well enough." He retorted with a little wiggle of his ears. While Lebby handled those flowers, he reached into his bag, plucking two vials free. "Now, I wasn't sure just how strong you wanted this concoction to be. My first batch was perhaps a little too much, but if you don't mind rendering them completely mute..." He set that one aside, well away on its own while he instead waggled the second. "This one is exactly as described. A little dartfrog venom, and a pinch of ochu vine dust. Instead of quicksilver, a little hint of cinnabar. Not as potent, but lacks the metallic tinge that would otherwise give it away."
Lebeaux busied himself arranging and fluffing the flowers until he was satisfied with the aesthetic and with that settled he walked past Kyt’ir towards the sideboard, reaching out to pluck the second vial along his way. The less potent, theoretically untraceable one. “I’ll take the first as well. It would surely be worth a giggle or two if I put a few drops into especially chatty guest’s tea. As well as some more practical uses until the sound warding is finished on my clinic.” Lebeaux needed something to dampen the screams after all. He poured a small amount of tea into a cup and turned to offer it and the vial to Kyt’ir. “Add a tiny drop then have a sip. You’ll have to excuse a touch of paranoia. It has been a trying moon.”
Kyt'ir blinked, canting his head to the side. He took the cup in hand, uncorking the vial with the thumb of the other hand. Just a tiny drop, which he lets mingle with the tea properly before he brings it to his lips. "People have been letting you down?" He murmured, giving the Elezen a questioning look.
Lebeaux held up a hand to stop the other. “Cast a small spell before. Have a sip, then try again.” He reached out to place a hand on Kyt’ir’s shoulder, apparently trying to sense the flow of aether within the other to ensure he was truly unable to cast and not simply acting. “There was the abduction I had mentioned previously. Now I find myself tangled in a game of Eastern intrigue. To top it all off I’ve been served papers from what I /thought/ was a sympathetic Ishgardian demanding I stand trial by combat.” He complained, sighing heavily.
Kyt'ir blinked again, an ear twitching. His free hand - the scarred one at that - lifted up, palm upturned. A little fire sparked to life for a few scant moments, before being snuffed out. "Why on earth would you need to stand trial by combat? Heresy?" He questioned, before taking a sip from the concoction. "...it will take a moment to set in."
Lebeaux sniffed in annoyance. “You’re an uninvolved party. I suppose I can tell you.” He used the hand on Kyt’ir’s shoulder to guide him over to the couch nearby. They could at least sit in comfort as they tested strange alchemical concoctions on themselves. He gave the miqo’te a small push to sit him down then sat down beside him. “Some ‘unnamed accuser’ has petitioned a knight to dig in to my history and the knight has seen fit to arrange a trial by combat for what he found. As though it’s some great crime to chance one’s name after leaving a prior profession.” He complained. “And things done during war time cannot be held to the same laws of a peace time situation, don’t you agree? It’s ridiculous.”
Kyt'ir followed along, resisting the temptation to take another sip of the tea - even with the knowledge it was poisoned, Lebeaux's tea was a large reason he always came back. He instead settled down on the couch, clearing his throat briefly. "...well, if it were done to support the war effort, I suppose. But one should be held accountable for looting and the like..." He trailed off, glancing at his hand as he summoned up another - albeit weaker - flame. Another sip. "You weren't looting, were you?”
"Perhaps... now. I admit I'm rather curious, who exactly is my little concoction for? Not for your conjurer guest?" Kyt’ir Gahre wasn't very delicate about changing the topic, but there was the slender little smile again.
Lebeaux Desrosiers shook his head slightly. “I suspect I have him rather well tamed for the moment. Let’s see… there’s an Ishgardian conjurer who annoys me. I may test it on him. Then there’s an arcanist who has been stepping too far out of line lately for me to overlook. I’ll need to correct his behavior. Then there’s another fellow I suppose I’ll slip a bit to just for a laugh.” He exhaled a sigh and placed a hand on his cheek, glancing aside at the other as he smirked slightly. “Oh, is that wicked of me.”
Kyt'ir seemed to take it in stride. "I'll just have to build up a tolerance to it... or succumb to poisoning from  the copious amounts of cinnabar-laced tea I'd be imbibing." He quipped in response, before taking another sip of the much preferred brandied tea. "...hm. Might I recommend lacing a bottle of brandy with it? Could disguise it as some celebration. The alcohol would likely  cover it far better than tea would alone."
Lebeaux rolled a shoulder. “You haven’t irritated me enough to be deserving of such a prank. Besides, why would you continue providing me the means to your own demise. I’d rather not burn that bridge just for a giggle.” He mused, reaching for the brandy bottle and leaning over to give Kyt’ir another small splash added to his tea. “I would have to use tea because, believe it or not, you are one of the few who will drink with me. Something about ‘staying sharp’ around me.”
Kyt'ir Gahre couldn't help but flash a genuine little smile. "I suppose I am confident enough in knowing our bridge is too valuable to be burnt. I will start being worried if you hire another alchemist." He quipped, before pausing. "...though now I wonder why I wasn't cautious beforehand. I'll blame the somnus for now."

LF RP (Balmung)
As mentioned, Kyt has gone through a ton of changes very recently, so it’s time for a new LF;RP post!
Tumblr media
Kyt’ir Gahre
Race and Clan: Miqo’te, Keeper of the Moon
Birthplace: Black Shroud
Gender: Male
Age: 26
Occupation: Travelling Alchemist / Red Mage
Martial Status: Single
Sexuality: Bisexual
Alignment: Chaotic-Neutral
Background: Kyt’ir Gahre (born Kyt’ir Jakkya, also know as ”Kite”) is, simply put, a talented mage just looking for trouble.
Of course, one can’t live a life full of adventure all the time. To make ends meet, and to hone another trade, he offers his services as an alchemist to those in need of one.
Personality Traits:
Knowledge Seeker: Kite values knowledge above all else. He is willing to look past slights and cooperate with people he would otherwise despise if they have knowledge to offer him, and little patience for those who do not (unless they can pay him for his services). He wants to learn everything there is to learn about the aetherial arts, and above all else shows favor towards like-minded individuals.
Showman: Kite isn’t merely satisfied with making the strongest explosion, or the brightest lightning bolt. To him the spectacle of magic and the creative application of the aetherial art (emphasis on art) is what truly sets apart an elite mage from a merely good one, and this is especially the case with other Red Mages.
Void Hunter: Due to a traumatic experience in his youth, Kite vehemently loathes anything related to the Void. While content to merely study occult movements as a curiousity, if he catches wind of someone practicing Void arts, he will go out of his way to track them down and inflict his own brand of punishment. It may be the only good thing he consistently does without the expectation of compensation - that and they make for excellent practice for his magic.
Potential Hooks:
Crime: Kite is trying to break free of his recent lifestyle, which involved either being an accomplice to or directly involved with crimes most heinous. He is trying to redeem himself in one way or another. Despite this, people still hold grudges - or be interested in bringing him back into the underworld.
Hoarder: Part of the reason he was able to teach himself the art of Red Magic was due to… ‘procuring’ tomes and other historical documents, often through underhanded means. He’s more than a bit greedy and possessive about such artifacts, to the point of it being a fault. Perhaps you don’t agree with him keeping this knowledge for himself, or you have something he wants.
Mentor: Kyt’ir is confident enough in his abilities - and experienced enough in their application - to consider himself ready to start teaching others. His first and foremost dream is to eventually have a school, carrying on his own interpretation of red magic. Perhaps your character wants to learn, or needs another more seasoned mage to help.
He doesn’t just consider himself to be merely good, he considers himself to be one of if not the best practitioner of red magic around. Arguably his confidence is well-earned, but it’s only natural that he butts heads with other mages.

Looking for Roleplay (Balmung)
Tumblr media
As mentioned in one of my posts a couple weeks back, I’m slowly working myself back into RP. Since a lot has changed with Kyt’ir since my last LF;RP at Stormblood’s launch, I decided to make a new post. So, without further ado...
Kyt’ir Gahre
Race and Clan: Miqo’te, Keeper of the Moon
Birthplace: Black Shroud
Gender: Male
Age: 25
Occupation: Red Mage
Martial Status: Married
Sexuality: Bisexual
Alignment: Chaotic-Neutral
Background: Kyt’ir Gahre (born Kyt’ir Jakkya, also know as ”Kite”) is, simply put, a talented mage just looking for trouble. A run-away in his youth, the Keeper has clawed his way from nothing using his brains and knack for treasure hunting. Originally trained as a savvy thaumaturge, with the fall of Baelsar’s Wall the Keeper has gathered and horded knowledge related to Red Magic (potentially to the detriment of others), teaching himself the art through trial and error. Now a skilled practitioner of the art, he’s looking for work and other ways to apply his growing knowledge.
Personality Traits:
Selfish: Once altruistic and naive to the point of it being a serious fault, the pendulum has swung the other way. He typically will only help when there is something in it for him, and likewise, if the pay is enough or the reward to his tastes, he’s willing to get his hands dirty. As a result he can be somewhat of an antagonistic character outside of his (currently very very small) circle of friends.
Showmanship: Kite isn’t merely satisfied with making the strongest explosion, or the brightest lightning bolt. To him the spectacle of magic and the creative application of it is what truly sets apart an elite mage from a merely good one, and this is especially the case with other Red Mages.
Crime: Prior to his most recent endeavours, Kyt’ir straddled the line between law-abiding and law-breaking to make his gil. While he tried his hardest to avoid hurting anyone (at least, anyone that couldn’t afford to deal with the setbacks), people may still hold grudges - or be interested in bringing him back into the underworld.
Hoarder: Part of the reason he was able to teach himself the art was due to... ‘procuring’ tomes and other historical documents pertaining to red magic, often through underhanded means.
He doesn’t just consider himself to be merely good, he considers himself to be one of if not the best practitioner of red magic around. Arguably his confidence is well-earned, but it’s only natural that he butts heads with other mages.

Looking for Connections
Tumblr media
In short, I’ve spent so much time sitting in a queue I was able to go through and sort of update Kite’s RPC page. Now that I’ve managed to meet my goal of (almost) clearing Stormblood (whenever this 90 minute queue actually pops), I’m looking to get back into RP. Along with the long-running arc he was a part of being mostly settled, it’s time to break some new ground with my slighty burnt cinnamon roll of a (red) mage.
If you’re interested in dealing with a red mage that constantly forgets the red part, take a peek. There’s a few hooks under the OOC Notes section, but I’m open for ideas!

A Few Changes 09/04
Lebeaux Desrosiers tilted his head and swept a hand aside to gesture towards the hallway nearby. “Shall we? I’ve made a few changes since your last visit. And I see you have as well.” He noted, glancing at the miqo’te’s slicked back hair.
Kyt'ir Gahre glanced upwards, glancing at an errant bang that simply refused to follow the rest. "Finally, someone noticed." He mumbled, sounding rather disappointed at everyone else's lack of attention. "After you. Something tells me we both have tales to regale one another with... hopefully yours are more exciting, though." Modest as ever, the Keeper strolled over.
Lebeaux =smiiiiiled. “It makes that gouge across your face more noticeable.” He explained, turning on his heel to make his way back towards his offices. “Hm, tales of woe and haircuts, it sounds just the thing to be shared over tea.” He mused as he went in first, leaving the door open behind him for the miqo’te.
Kyt'ir's expression froze, quite unsure how to process that scathing remark. "...I knew I should've brought some Antidote, with a venomous tongue like that." He quipped in response. Once he was inside, he set his pack down by the door, an audible clink of glasses rattling against one another despite his best efforts to be delicate.
Lebeaux exhaled a flat little chuckle as he led the way into the rooms and immediately settled himself into a large chair. A hand waved towards tea service nearby, complete with savory and sweet snacks. “Help yourself, if you’ve been wandering around like a pack mule you’ve likely worked up a hunger.” His icy eyes darted towards the pack. “I assure you my venom isn’t deadly in small doses. Yet, if not antidotes, have you perchance brought me a gift rattling around there in your bag. A little office-warming present?”
Kyt'ir glanced down at the pack. "Been ferrying some of my wares about. Part of the tales to regale you with. Not sure if you have any fondness for rolanberry liqueur, but if so... I can leave a bottle behind." He mused as he settled himself down onto the couch, taking up a seat near the Elezen. "Or what warding potions I have left. Something tells me you would find some sort of use for them." That saintly, knowing little smile again, interrupted only for him to take a little sip of tea.
“Oh? Sounds quaint. I’ll accept the gift, though in the future do bear in mind I prefer brandy.” Lebeaux suggested, smiling serenely back at the other. “Mmm, well. Where to begin.” He reached over to the smoking box beside himself to prepare a pipe instead of a cup of tea, packing somnus lightly into it with his gloved pinkie. “I seem to have gotten myself into a spot of trouble with a disgruntled conjurer and he took it upon himself to rearrange my offices. With conjury. Shattered the floor with stones, water everywhere, furniture torn to shreds by wind.” He exhaled a long suffering sigh and placed a hand on his own cheek in a gesture of theatrical dismay. “It was a tragedy.”
Kyt'ir =quietly sipped his tea. "That would explain the extensive remodeling. It does seem to have turned out well... I hope he isn't bothering you anymore?" He murmured, making a mental note to bring brandy next time. He would not admit it out loud, but he felt a tad silly for forgetting such an important detail.
A shoulder rolled in a small shrug. “He’s been dealt with and will repay me for the damages.” Along with the one who dared to tell him where to find the Ishgardian. “Turns out he’s rather useful so he has been ‘tour guiding’ my research jaunts to the Shroud.” Lebeaux slipped the pipe between his lips and lit it, puffing gently at it before exhaling fragrant smoke. “How have you come to be a well-groomed potion peddler? Seems rather a step down. Have you been taking any custom orders as of yet? A problem presented to you solved in a bottle in a few days?” He took another slow drag on the pipe before he held it out, offering it to the other to enjoy a little somnus as well.
Kyt'ir's expression flickered, lighting up ever so slightly. It was either the pipe, or the proposition, the Keeper pausing to respond. "Of course. For a moderate fee, of course. Can't work for free. ...did you have something in mind?" He let that question hang while he brought the pipe to his lips, drawing in a slow, leisurely breath while his violet eyes honed in on Lebby. His business sense was already tingling.
Lebeaux leaned an elbow on the edge of his chair and settled his chin in his palm, smiling all the while as the miqo’te reached for the pipe and took a small drag. The alchemist already seemed intrigued. “Well, it’s troublesome finding a reliable alchemist. Even more so if you want one that’s discreet. Without having to resort to blackmail and confidentiality contracts.”
Kyt'ir canted his head as he took in a breath, finally letting it out in a low puff. "You know, sitting beside the stained glass windows in this light, you cut an almost sinister appearance. Was that intentional?" He quipped, flashing that saintly smile - when on earth did he get  so good at it? - before going back to idly puffing on the pipe. "Do continue, though."
Lebeaux placed a hand upon his own chest, lowering his gaze to glance aside as he smiled ever so sweetly. A perfect recreation of some Ishgardian saint or another from a classical painting. Yes, it was intentional. “Most Keepers who visit despise it. Too much light, they complain. I rather enjoy the constant reminder of divinity. After all, it’s Her spear and shield that guide me.” With that little act completed he held out his hand to take the pipe back so he could have a few more puffs on it. Perhaps he would have to look into getting another if this was to become a regular thing. “It’s a straightforward deal. Should I have a problem I require fixed, I will send for you. If you can fix it, you will be compensated accordingly. If not, we’ll never speak of it again.”
Kyt'ir's ears twitched, the Keeper giving a mock little pout as he gave the pipe up, passing it back over to the Elezen. "Mh. Seems straight forward enough, and gives me reason to research and push the boundaries so to speak." He murmured, going back to nursing at his tea as he mulled over the idea. "It sounds good to me. Just so long as you don't ask for a potion to turn lead into gold."
Lebeaux scoffed at the idea. He accepted the pipe and rose to his feet, moving over to join the Keeper on the couch. “Then I’ll give you a little challenge to get you started.” He explained, taking a slow drag on the pipe before he handed it over to the other again. It was easier to share from here. “Something to keep a mage from casting. A silencing potion, the effects need only last a bell or so. Yet I want it to be untraceable. Say if…” he glanced over at the table. “I were to mix it in their tea.”
Kyt'ir raised an eyebrow, glancing down into the tea - before simply nonchalantly taking another sip, finishing off his cup. If it were laced, he was doomed half a bell ago. "That would be straight forward enough. A little venom from a dart frog, ochu vine... could disguise it as a herbal tea, though it'd need to be sweetened to cover the bitterness. Not to mention the metallic taste from the quicksilver..." He mused aloud, before taking the pipe in hand. Brow furrowed, he took a more determined puff from his pipe. "The trick would be making it like your usual tea, assuming your target would notice you deviating from your routine."

A Patient’s Patience 04/19
Kyt'ir Gahre scoffed softly at the notion. "If I only kept those most useful, I'd just be acting the same way." He muttered, ears gradually easing their way up. "Though I suppose having capable business associates would be beneficial, one shouldn't keep those as close as actual friends." Kyt mused aloud, before lifting his gaze to peer up at Lebby. "..do you need a drink? Least I can get you, if you're going to listen to me wax poetic about such things."
“Do I ever.” Lebeaux Desrosiers grumbled, though he didn’t relent in his work. “Once I’ve finished this you can fetch me something. Tea, Shroud will suffice, and a generous splash of brandy.” He requested, sounding more like he was ordering at a café than enjoying the hospitality of an associate. “Actual friends.” He chuckled at that, the polite smile quirking somewhat though he still didn’t look up. “What use do they serve, save to borrow money and drink your ‘good’ liquor.” Then again everyone he called friend usually ended up dead or bleeding.
"They drop everything at a moment's notice to make sure you haven't irrevocably ruined your hand?" Kyt’ir answered, giving up a cheeky little grin at the Elezen. "Or were you just worried I wouldn't be able to teach you magic any time soon?" The Keeper finally let slip a genuine little chuckle, brunette ears wiggling atop his head in a moment of mirth. "..and yes, Shroud will have to suffice. I know my limits, if I tried to make Ishgardian tea I'd probably accidentally poison us both. Somehow."
Lebeaux thinned his full lips slightly as they pursed but his beatific smile remained at the little jab. “We had an agreement.” He explained calmly, his gloved hand shifting as he chose a particularly cracked looking portion of skin. He placed his thumb there and pressed down. Hard. Hard enough for the sting to cut through the various painkillers. “And if you’ve aetherically injured yourself, it would make casting painful for some time. Then where would I be.” Lebeaux smiled too-sweetly back at the other, glancing up briefly to see how he was doing with the subtle sadism. “Mm, more likely you’d die of shame for serving such a miserable cup of terrible and I’d die from the stress of trying not to say anything too scathing about it.”
Kyt'ir's ears pinned right back as Lebby pressed down, a wince playing across his face. "Point taken." He mumbled, good hand lifting up to rub the back of his head. The pressure had him fidgeting ever so slightly, but he tried his best to be a good patient even as Lebeaux indulged in a bit of sadism.
Lebeaux eased his thumb off of the cracked skin once his point has been made. Kyti’r was being a good sport about it, pinning his ears and wincing but not crying out or whining about it. He finished with the fingers and decided to pause for a break. The elezen straightened up and stretched his shoulders, shaking out his hands as though to shake off the trace remains of aether. “I’ll have that tea now.” He declared as he stretched and curled his own fingers. “There’s quite a bit aether trapped there. You certainly were serious, weren’t you. Is this the first time it’s happened?”
Kyt'ir slowly relaxed once the Elezen let go, easing off the pressure. As soon as his hand was free, he set off  to what is totally an appropriate area for preparing tea, using his good hand to handle the work. "It was the first time I wanted to." He answered, the topic putting him ill at ease. "I think it was the culmination of... something." The lack of confidence said it all. He still didn't really understand what had happened, just that it was not at all normal for a pair to fight like that.
Lebeaux wouldn’t know a normal, healthy relationship if it slapped him in the face and called him Nancy. The elezen turned and folded his arms across his chest as he leaned against the table’s edge now. He had plainly said at the start he wasn’t intending to offer sympathy nor advice. The far more likely explanation was that he was gathering information on his own. Using the mage’s compromised emotional state as a chance to learn more about him, his vulnerabilities and his relationships. All the while smiling so sweetly, the glasses helping to mask the perpetual chill in his eyes. “Your passions ran hot, it’s plainly there on your arm."

📝 (if you're still doing these~)
Kyt'ir Gahre
**A Warning: It has required obscene amounts of chemical interference to drag these truths from Lebeaux. Any attempts to recreate the results will likely result in death, his or yours. Proceed with caution**
Their first impression: "Hmm, we first crossed paths at the Golden Fox's monthly open house. Weapons, poisons, drugs that sort of thing. He seemed out of place. Polite, soft spoken and almost meek. He seemed like he would provide pleasant company to pass the evening as well as a means to a little extra coin. In rougher terms; 'the perfect mark' I suppose."
Their current impression: "Polite and soft spoken, to be sure. Yet I was mistaken on the meek part. I'll be certain to avoid a head-on confrontation in the future after seeing the aftermath of his aether manipulation... and that was only the damage he managed to inflict upon himself ."
What they like the most about your muse: "I truly didn't expect to see him again after the Open House. I never expected him to return a few days later, research in hand, to demand I right the wrong I had done him. It was almost refreshing discussing as civilized people rather than the shouting and carrying on that usually goes on around here. He, at least, understands it was nothing personal. Simply business. Oh... he doesn't flinch away when I pet his ears, as well. That's a rather nice change of pace."
What they dislike the most about your muse: "He seems to have picked up the notion somewhere along the line that we're 'friends'. I've corrected him once, yet I still catch him giving me those ridiculous little smiles as though we're in on the same joke. I suppose I'll just have to make my point more clearly next time."
What your muse is for them ( Friend, lover, rival etc.): "We're not friends. Acquaintances at best. Though now that we're 'even' I do admit I'm curious to see where we'll go from here. I certainly wouldn't snub having powerful thaumaturges and competent researchers as allies."
A general opinion of their relationship: "It's difficult to say, as of yet. It's not uncommon that what I see as a perfectly good working partnership and mutually beneficial arrangement turns into heated words and duels. It's certainly pleasant, for the moment, having drinks and chatting without the snide asides and sullen glares."
If applicable, something they wish to reveal: "I don't regret throwing him over for the sake of having my shirtsleeves mended by a decent tailor. I've had a chance to get to know Kyt'ir better as a result and I've never seen neater seams. It was all around a resounding success."
